Nice batch of vintage train stock items you got there, love them diesels, and that Soo Line boxcar, and last but not least that caboose in the box too.😉👍
Cool vintage stuff. Right up my alley👍. Notice ya good 3 thumbs down..who does that with a model train channel? We received one of our first with a nasty comment. I mostly do this for the grandson. Geeze eh!.keep up the good work👍🚂🚃🇨🇦
The VIA-CN era was from the spring of 1976 to mid 1977. CN re-branded it's passenger services as VIA-CN giving it it's own distinctive look. This lasted until the plan was made to integrate CP's passenger services in with CN's under an Amtrak style company to be know as VIA Rail Canada. The new company VIA was to be jointly ran by both CN and CP but with some internal bickering government set VIA up as stand alone crown corporation.
VIA caboose is fairly rare. That caboose is actually based on a Pennsylvania RR class N8 - but they moved the cupola to the end. Bowser makes a correct model you can check out on their website. Lionel car has a Canada only roadnumber on it. The two are mirrored, looks like, the CP logo on the left on one and the right on the other. Tyco Autoloader is a clone of the Athearn HO piece made for Lionel HO in 1958 (itself based on the Lionel O27 car); Tyco version appears in 1968, at a point when Lionel was out of HO and the Athearn one had not been sold in some time. The Cox engine is a decent piece. Walthers I believe owns the rights to the tooling for it now but has not produced it, Model Power was the last to have it and it had an entirely different drive.
Trains 🚂 to go back to their way in their way for trains 🚊 and their family and the girls to the first two years and their life and family in a new life in their life for a few kids to have the girls to play with a couple kids
Way back in the 70's I bought a UP version of that Tyco Soo Line boxcar. It's still put away in storage but unfortunately, this was a totally fictitious model. Nobody has ever been able to identify a 60 foot hi-cube boxcar with a running board with double plug doors that large. Hi-cubes started to really get developed in the early 60's, about the time that running boards (aka roofwalks) were being outlawed on new cars (1964).
An example of the short lived venture into HO scale model railroading by Cox. Those Tyco cabbese I don't think had an actual prototype they were based off of and seemed to be a fusion of some Wabash and Burlington home built designs and or a modified Pennsylvania N8 caboose. I know about 30 years ago I grabbed 2 of those old Tyco cabeese from a discount bin at one of my local hobby shops and made a pretty accurate PRR N8 by hacking the roof of both models for donor pieces to center the coupola and provide a clean end roof piece, carved off the molded roof walk and replaced it with separate roof walk and then built a fully detailed interior and lighting. It's stored up in the garage loft currently.
A Tyco car carrier I have was missing the carrier & the cars so I turned it into a shipping container car. I do have a Hong Kong made Life-Like car carrier with the 6 Chevy Citations. Vintage! lol
Another mystery unboxing from a fellow Canadian, eh Harrison. Very thoughtful. You're going to have to run a train of all Pac Man boxcars chasing a flatcar with Inky, Blinky and Clyde.😁 Congrats on 28K subscribers! 🎆🎈🎇🎈🎇🎈🎆 Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
Very impressive rolling stock . That tyco auto loader car is what you would see in a santafe 72 train set or odther various ones with cars and a ramp that added the play value with a trainset I think they added it to take the dump car out of the sets. That Ontario Northland has a rely neat paint scheme
Mundy was going through this in a little more detail about it but he said it wasn't the same as he wants a guy with 3 or more people to do that and he was very happy
Nice rare F-unit. Cox engines were good runners, great livery. Give it some basic maintenance and turn it loose on the layout. I loved those old Tyco auto loaders. They are very common and can be found cheap at train shows. Grab a bunch of them and build a solid unit train with a pair of U30-C’ s up front.
@@j.mcq.8418 : Glenn Fricker of Spectre Media is based out of Windsor. His experience as an engineer is that bass players are usually not great musicians and not very well prepared, so he frequently mocks them on his show and sells T-shirts that do the same.
They didn't. Tyco products were mostly intended for the "toy train" market and much of their products were either completely fictitious models, or reasonable models with fictitious paint schemes - whatever caught the eye and could sell for birthdays and Christmas. The caboose model you're referring to was operated by some American roads such as CB&Q, Wabash, Great Northern, etc

I would like your opinion. I’ve got a OMI SD70 locomotive. When ever it goes around a curve it sounds like it is grinding. Could this be it needs some lubricant?
Speaking of vintage me and my wife just bought a house and while we were renovating I found and ho scale train set in a crawl space and the majority of the cars are wooden how common are they?
Elliott - The wooden HO cars could be from the 1930s to the 1970s. I think Labelle may still offer wood car kits. The plastic cars began appearing in the 1950s. If you can find a model railroad club in your town, maybe one of the older members can provide information on the cars?
Night Is Right - Oh, Lionel did make a line of HO trains back around 1973 to 1976. The Bachmann GS4 Daylight was originally a Lionel product. The TV commercial with Johnny Cash talking about the 2 scales of trains is on You Tube.
hello, as a novice train modeler, I would like to start modeling. what better N scales or HO? maybe we can sign up via facebook or somehow, advice is possible maybe?
It’s really a matter of preference. If you have enough space I would probably go with HO but N is still great if you wanna have a large layout in a small area

When I heard the phrase "arrived from Windsor, Ontario," I half expected the box to contain a T-shirt disparaging bass players.
