Centy train is battery powered (needs 2 AA batteries) toy train and runs on plastic tracks. It is available on Online platforms from Rs. 800/-
HO Scale train is a 3D printed Indian model train, this runs on electrified tracks and this train set comes with 1 WAP Locomotive, 3 Coaches, Oval Shape Track set, Speed Controller with Power Adaptor Rs. 35K onwards (without EOG). Please check unboxing video here;

The 50K model looks far better than the Rs 800battery operated model (naturally). But as a model railroad enthusiast, I personally feel that even the 50K model can do with quite a lot of more detailing. This 50K model is a good start and let us hope that with more refinement and better tooling, they will come on par with major brands such as Trix or Roco or Brawa.
This is a start, probably first Indian commercial train set.

Yeah, i recently got a Kato Amtrak model for 20K that's much much better and it's N scale! this one looks like FDM printed model and sanded down.

Most incredible thinge, "expensive models" run on 16,5 mm track, but their gauge is 1:100. So they exactly reproduce the real gauge, wich is 1676 mm. Can't wait to have one of these sets.
After much time there there are also HO scale models of Indian railways😊😊

You can buy hornby train models with high details and good motor less than 50k, they are simply exploiting indian market because there are no model trains maker.

These are model trains which are expensive as sht and model trains are made for hobbyists not kids. And these are WAY better than gold because train can entertain you while gold doesnt. Which is dumb argument but so is comparing its price to other stuff. I have seen comments whi say "its better to travel in train 2000 times" or "getting ps5 better" and stuff which is very dumb because this is for adults not kids adults earn money so they are ones buying because they want to don't judge other people

Centy is the only best scale toy manufacturers in India, particularly for cars, trucks & Bus models.
Centy can also start manufacturing such models so as to give stiff competition to Pink Engine but at affordable prices.
Chinese train toys are another competitors where it is available at affordable prices. You can even customise them.
Rs. 50k is beyond capacity for a middle class to buy such models.

Lionel train set cost similar but they are very very detailed! Indian 50K train still looks like unfinished model. Not worth !
Lionel is a 3 track system whereas both HO & OO are two track. Yes, Marklin HO is technically a 3 rail because it has a pickup shoe. All others such as Trix,Roco are 2 rail
