Incredible hunt! The quality of them coins were unreal - especially the star find! There's been a number of hunts like this recently (Bungle on Sunday had a similar one). I think people are cashing in collections to pay for the cost of living crisis at the moment. I don't think this will be the last.

My goodness, a whole show full of 'Star Finds'. So glad you found the NI Commonwealth. It would be well, well worth the time and effort to swap out some of your old commemoratives for the superb ones you found in this hunt.

For a big hunting Chanel like yourself Chris, finding a collection which is clearly someone's own collection that they have had to cash in because of hard times (possibly) must be such an amazing feeling. So many bag's with entire commemorative coins in. I had this only once and it was 50p's. I had 4 Olympic's in 1 bag, and over all had 6 Olympics, 3 Newton's, 11 Beatrix potters including 2 puddle duck's, plus loads of the face value commemorative and many that are a bit over face value. But unfortunately NO Kew, no offside, no wrestling. Still was an unbelievable hunt though. 👍

No I am definitely not being a troll and I hardly ever watch the channel but here in England people who have some Kew gardens coins are unable to sell them for the amount they want or the amount that apparently they should sell for. An item is only worth the amount someone is prepared to pay for it. It just seems a big fuss over a coin

Never seen so many amazing quality coins in a hunt. Well done on finding 2 for the book including the CW Northern Ireland. A collection cash in I suspect. I had a 50p hunt recently where I had a mega cash in, so I know the thrill of getting a bagful of commemoratives. Missed out on an edge hunt though, but knowing your luck it would have been one with a touch of the diddlies! 😁
I think this is definitely a cash in from a saver as opposed to a collector . Fantastic hunt 😁👏👏. That NI looked in pristine condition as did a lot of the other coins .
I have been saving £2 coins for a few years, I saw this video and wondered if I had anything rare so I have got my collection out and found 8 coins that may or may not be worth something but I'm no expert. 2x 1807 slavery, the writing on the side is the wrong way around to the queen which doesn't seem right because I always thought it should be the other way like the other coins. 2x first world War, writing wrong way around on the sides. 1 DNA 2x Shakespeare with skull, one of these as the writing the wrong way as well. 1 Shakespeare jokers hat 1. Invention industry, as no writing on the sides but a pattern instead. 1. Brunel Paddington Station.
What an amazing hunt obviously the Star find is that CW Games NI and in unreal condition too as a lot of the coins were,shout out for the rest of your over face value finds the book is coming on great guns and you won't be stuck on the NI which is what you were worried about,great stuff all the best.
Exciting stuff ! I have been collecting coins for nearly 60 years and love the £2 and 50p hunts ! my Grandson only needs the N I Commonwealth games to complete ! We have three Kew Gardens and three full olympic sets with the collector tokens ! The strangest coin I have is a very shiny one pence dated 1971 that appears to have been struck on the wrong metal as is it is shiny silver with a slight coppery colour dye on it ! I also had (my Grandson now has them ) around 8 mint old threepences all dated around the early 1940's that came out of an elderly friends safe and She stated that they were placed in the safe during the war !! Any idea why a W was stamped on the rear of a £2 coin I had (in the central circle ) unfortunately I spent the coin in error before relocating it into a folder )
Definitely got part of someone's collection, especially with the stacks of the same coin all at once! It was probably split up and mixed in at the bank, so you didn't get all of it and had some regular stacks mixed in as well, but still, wow!

I got £250 in 50p last week and 11 bags were all specials! Had lots of olympics and NHS but sadly no Kew.
