10 Most Expensive Ground Attack Aircraft In The World
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 сер 2024
- Ground attack aircraft are intended for direct aviation support of ground forces on the battlefield using missile-cannons, bombs, cluster weapons or other ammunition. Planes of this type are in service with few countries, since their cost is quite high. Today, we will show you the 10 most expensive ground attack aircraft in the world!
For copyright matters please contact us at: ytproductionvideo@gmail.com
most aircraft shown are trainers with a secondary ground attack capability. true dedicated ground attack fixed wing aircraft are the A10, Su25, tornado ids etc..
super tucanos too
Alpha Jet too
And AV-8B harriers
compared to the A10 & SU25 proven capabilities all the rest are toys...
What about the OV-10 Bronco?
The A-10 and SU-25 are the only purpose-built ground attack aircraft that I see. They have different strategies in ground attack. But that's their one job.
Greetings from the UK. The ultimate ground attack aircraft is the A10 Thunderbolt
Ya heard
so proud that the Philippines has a A29 Tucano and a TA 50 proud filipino here!
Yeah
Tite
Our philippine air force dont Operate t 50 but Fa 50 jets.Fa-50 is more Advance and powerful compared to T-50 version.
10 Most Expensive "LIGHT" Ground Attack Aircraft of the World
should be the appropriate title here; that way Harriers, Jaguars, Tornadoes, FA-18, F-15C, and other full-blown ground attack aircrafts wouldn't crossed the viewers mind.
These look like dedicated attack but something is wrong with the list.
@@alastair9446 They are trainers
#1 American Warthog, #2 Russian SU-25 Grach, both are old school, badass!
Nope spookie or specter system hang out and rain down death and destruction for hrs
Su-25 is a long term winner, as loved by its pilots and ground troops as the A-10 is to the Americans. Both are tops in their fields and interestingly enough, have had a lot of experience in the same place - Afghanistan. These are my favs.
also the most knowns ones
spain also made a ground attack aircraft prototype during the 50s and early 60s called the hispano ha500 alcaran wich is beautifull
the alpha jet was a very cheap very good ground attack aircraft and was very cheap to operate.
Agent J
My aren’t we special ! LOL !
A-10C Tunderbolt II is the best. No one gives a sht how much it costs. The fact that it carries a General Dynamics AUG/-8 Avenger 30mm 7-barrel gatlin gun that ( using depleted uranium armor piecing rounds) can shred a tank like old paper, plus 16,000 pounds of ordinance make it the best on this list. Also, she really looks good when all dressed for the party.
Not really. Only politics keep ot alive.
What's next? Katanas slicing through tank cannons?
@@quattro4468 It helps to have friends in high places.
Ah yes, the deadly missle cannons.
SU25 Frogfoot is by far the most economical, built like a Tank and can carry twice as much ordinance than any of the others except the A10. The only thing that keeps it from being the best is that it doesn’t have that 30mm Gatling gun the A10 has thus relegating it to a close 2nd. In my humble opinion.
it has a twin barrel gsh-30 30 mm gun that fires at 3000 rpm ..good enough to chew through light armour and infantry just like the A-10..the frogfoot is faster .. dont understand why people prefer the a-10 seeing its slower and carries less..and the russian 30mm ap round has better armour piercing capabilities?
@@joshrooney3174 you are correct... But I guess people really do like the 30mm gatling gun... Hence they prefer the A-10
No it's the A10 thunder bolt
The A10 is waaaaaay more survivable though , witnessed -Kenny of SU25 shoot downs over Syria , I do love that plane as well though
Frogfoot being less advanced is the thing
And the Hawk 100/200 is not even on the list but the L159 is? The L159 is a good plane but the Hawk is some better in my opinion.
"...in service with few countries because their cost is quite high" Where'd you get this? The reason why these aircraft featured here are in service is precisely because they are relatively cheap and are a lot more cost effective in a low intensity conflict scenario than a full blown strike fighter like an F-15E
Imagine a B-17 sized ground attack plane
@Agent J I meant strike fighter
@Agent J Or a carrier capable 747
Yeah we use korean t50 eagle as a main fighter jet of the airforce. Coz we cant buy a more expensive multirole ones
The A-10 is a tank with wings. I must have missed the F-35 on this list. The F-35 is a stupidly expensive ground attack aircraft. It must be for ground attack, right? It isn't an air superiority fighter.
The F-35 is just a stupid aircraft. Too fragile for the ground-support role, insufficient stores load and 180 rounds for it's internal 23mm cannon? Waste of money. Should have spent that money on retooling a plant to manufacture new A-10s.
You wouldn't be knocking the F-35 if you were pinned down and getting your ass handed to you.
Clyde Balcom the f-35 is just a pile of junk. It’s been beaten by everything we have right now, f-15, f-16, f-18, and the f-22. I’m quite sure the a-10 would beat it too. As since an a-10 beat an f-18 once in air -to- air combat exercises. The f18 was faster, but couldn’t turn with the a-10.
Man the AMX is such a beauty, pround of it's brazilian blood, it was made by Italy and Brazil. Big hug to our Italian brothers
@Agent J nah the Italians made quite a good use of then on the middle east and during operation Tiger I, brazilian pilots on the AMX, got 100% of hits on the targets, much higher than the Porto ricians f-16's. The Porto Ricans got mad about losing against outdated fighters and called the Brazilians to a one on one, quickly the f-16 heard on the radio "fox two". I've read that now they call the AMX-1 of "the bee"
@Agent J well, the challenge didn't come from our side you know? But that wasn't even the main point, it was just a consequence, what I wanted to say was that since the AMX-1 can fly in a lo-lo-lo the radars couldn't detect them, making it easy to strike all the targets on a very effective way. And what about Italy? forgot about them? 252 missions on Kosovo(1991), 700 missions on Afghanistan(2009) and more than 700 hours of mission time on Lybia, with more than 500 bombs and missiles deployed
@Agent J Well you may call me biassed or even tell that I'm a liar but all I said are data that can be easily found, you want to call someone a liar call the Italian Airforce then, because I feel like I don't have this "reputation" to uphold, who has it is the Brazilian Airforce or the Italian Airforce. I don't feel like I insulted you at any moment but if that's what you saw then what can I do right?
It kinda looks like the Grumman F-11F Tiger made they gotta inspired by it but the there are minimal differences like the canopy is bigger, smaller engine and missile rail on the wing tips.
What i noticed as well is that it share almost the same name F-11A/F-11F (Fighter) and A11A (Attacker).
Surely the BAe Hawk trainer/light attack aircraft should have been on that list?
It's not very expensive
I feel your love and its so good:))))
Four of those aircraft were clearly designed as trainers, but could perform other roles. There are many more GA aircraft, FAR more expensive than most of the others.
Sub'd. awesome vid and channel. Also, BBRRRTTTTT lol ;)
I love the A-10
if the price doesn't matter, then the Warthog A-10 is the best and tested and proven.
there is only around 200 of them in service and the company that made them doesn't exist anymore
the AMX and SU-25 have participated in several operations as well, having been tested and approved.
Mr. Presenter has unfortunately missed the Jaguars.
The title is the most expensive. The Jaguars are not that expensive. But honestly this whole list seems wrong.
@@alastair9446 what should be the list?
@@arendwolven6588 First keep in mind I am not an expert but I know something. The Alpha jet is one of the cheapest fighters around even cheaper than the Jaguar. Therefore the Alpha should not be on the list and Jaguar should be on the list before the Alpha. And why is a prop plane more expensive than Jet plane? A prop plane that is intended to be a low-cost option to jet fighters is on the list? And finally, I did not see any Harrier on the list which I would expect to be one of the most expensive. It looks like this was not properly done.
the A-10 is amazing plane
Make new content aswell love your channel
I feel like none of these are really out of line as far as price is concerned. Was this supposed to be most expensive or least?
Not sure about the other craft, but the A-10 has some special features not mentioned. Non-exploding fuel tanks, armor, redundancy and is has extra strong frame allowing continued flight with damage.
Small correction: IAR 99 ŞOIM is spelled I A R 9 9 SH O I M
I like yak130. She is sooooo cute
But deadly
The SU-25 Frogfoot or Grach is my favorite attack aircraft
I like this Su24 too.
Richard hii same I also like SU-34 and Yak-130
@@sovetskyskaiyastrigon1750 still MIG-21 Fisbed......
Simple, cheap, 2 mach and very strong....!💪💪
Interesting how only the two American designs (A-10 & YA-9/Su-25) were designed with loiter capability. I also note that the video completely omits attack helicopters, which are certainly "Ground Attack Aircraft".
Umm, the Su-25 is an old Soviet design.
@@mikepowers8607 , um, you need to read what I wrote. The Su-25 is a copy of the US YA-9. I even posted a link to information on the YA-9! It is a much closer copy than even the MiG-25 was of the proposed twin tail variant of the Avro Arrow. The Su-25 came out 3 years after the plans for the YA-9 were stolen, and it was literally a YA-9 modified to fit the longer Soyuz engines. The modifications consisted of longer engine pods and a slightly redesigned tail. The Soviets had been working on an attack aircraft since the late 1960s, but quickly changed their design around 1971, when they started getting American data. Edit: Here is a link with some info.military.wikia.org/wiki/Northrop_YA-9
You know you showed the AT-6 in the middle of the A-29
Yak and T-50 Golden Eagle are my favourit.
Servant Golam It's a dumb down version of the f16!
I Love the A-10, it is a beast. My former father in law was in german Bundeswehr in Cold war times. They did an exercise with other NATO troops in combined warfare. Suddently the tanks were out. And also three helicopters and two fighterjets. They ask why?! The answer was A-10...I am sad, that this device is retired, I loved it, to see this beauty in Action.
Scott Murphy Oh, thank you. My Information was old. It was Wikipedia, and a documentation on TV. I think five or six years ago. Sorry.
Its very interesting...and my English isn't fluently..but its good for me!
Tornado IDs , extremely fast , very long range and large load and able to look after its self tio
The ONE..the ONLY Fairchilds can opener better known as THE A10 WARTHOG!! When you're in deep SHIT...and you hear those engines...you'll get the feeling as though the neighborhood bully was bout to beat you down and you look around and see your big brother comin to beat him down!! That's a MIGHT good feeling!!😁
i am very like narration this videos
The A-10 is the undisputed ground attack/ ground support aircraft in the world . The plane has a titanium pilot bathtub for protection and redundancy systems as well as the abilty to take alot of damage to engines and wings.
MANPADs and 30mm don't care about your bathtub. The 70s called. They want their tactics back.
I would love to see the multiple weapons available for these in action as he describes them ...love to see cannons from airplane to ground in action to see actual damage
Super tokano a silent killer
I liked #5. The Super Tucano. It’s not a jet, but it looks like fun! ;)
Check some "esquadrilha da fumaça" videos. You'll love it.
ua-cam.com/video/KItmcBngryw/v-deo.html
So....why does the thumbnail show a South African AHRLAC very light COIN-type support aircraft, specifically designed to be cheap; basically one step above a UAV?
I thought that thing was pretty expensive, actually. Like 8 million dollars or some such. Then there is that Air Tractor 802U sexy looking beast... .
I can tell you right now, A-10 does not go two times the speed of sound. It barley reaches 600mph, if that.
650 actually
The A-10 is by far the best among the 10 aircraft, but the Golden Eagle is also the best for me.
Couldn't agree more... A-10 and the Su-25...packs a punch and brings the pilots home safe... Best from both worlds
The A-10 and the SU-25 are the ONLY true ground attack planes in this video, and the only planes that I think acually deserved to be in the video
show some video on future weapons
Far as I can tell, 8-10t-bolt best bang for the buck the others are smaller, which helps w/reduced radar signature ,...... Close ground air support ,t bolt survivability still a#1 !!!!
What type of aircraft would you consider the BAC Hawk as being, if not shown here?.
M346 FA is one of the best better than yak 130 because of transonic speed and sthealthy features
I wonder what the A in F/A-18 stands for...
Hornets are awesome, and at about $40,000,000, each it is truly a very expensive ground attack aircraft.
@@aerialcat1 so it is about 20 mln for the A and 20 mln for the F so it isn't that expensive anymore (+ they are carrier capable + mach numbers + buddy Refueling +...)
@@rickt151 All round, a helluva an aircraft.
F/A-18 means Fighter/Attack-18 so like the 18'th plane with that function
so u see the A/V8 (Harrier) is Attack/VTOL
and A-10 is Attack-10
B2 spirit bomber of course Bomber-2 so on so forth
A = Airline
The Thunderbolts are already paid for , no new ones are being made!
I would also add the new ground attack Scorpion from Textron Air &Land, and Boeing's new jet trainer as it will be used for that role to prop sales. You have also missed the swiss/american T6 Texan by Textron and Pilatus.
Im sorry, what pylons can the A-10 carry an additional 4 AGM-65s on?
2 under each wing, 4 on each side of the fuselage, 1 pair in front, 1 pair behind. They can do it, but usually don’t.
For strictly ground support the A-10 is the best.
OR THE SU-FROGFOOT WITH A TOP SPEED OF 1.2 MACH
Where is the BAC Hawk??
Roger Howell ..... Or the Harrier?
Romanian IAR is a very cool design
And also the casa 101 was retired by the Jordanian Air Force in the 2018
3:55 single seat?
Most of them are two seaters evidently
Flying tank..👍👍
FA-50 MRF variant of the T-50 played a vital role during the Marawi crisis here in Ph.
A10 HARD TO BEAT
Don Galipo except Frogfoot is better in almost every way
Right on !!!!!
A10 is best all around. Proven in combat and able to carry wide array of weapons will keep it relavent for years.
Not to mention the fully proctected cockpit for the pilot, so nicknamed bathtub
I am going to start an Air Force and fill it with cheap planes like Super Tacano and Yak-130, paint shark faces on all planes and become the largest Air Force in the world. My Air Force's motto will be 'low intensity fights only'
Keep dreamin bud
That's the plan anyway prison Mike!
@@drex6476 lol
The Philippines also order super tucano
I want that embraer or Pilatus which ever it is I think those look so bad ass
The A-10 by far!!!
I liked the Harrier the best 👍🤣🤣
What about the F-35 and the F-15E
Rare list ..number one Air craft..almost weapon ..speed ..???????
I like all jets
Hands down, I'd take the warthog over any of these other aircraft. The A-10 is the GOAT of CAS.
Of all the planes presented here the A-10 is by far the best! It is a flying tank that can pull 9 g how many of the other ground aircraft out there can do that?
Some people mentioned other close air support like the F-35, F-18, F15, F-16 Tornado and Jaguar! As far as I know no other plane besides the A-10 can get down on the deck and engage a target, take battle damage and still keep flying .
P51 should be in service today
no.
Hello sir..did thunderbolt can fight with another jet sir? Air to air becouse i just know air to ground
Ac 10 the most power full military power ground force
A-10 best brttttt
A-10 all day son. ALL DAY
Next do the cheapest top 10
in terms of cost ground attack airplanes are quite affordable if compared with air superiority. Hell 7 to 10 milions per aircraft? It's affordable for almost any country in the world.
When turboprop engine aircraft price more than the turbojet aircraft....
The A-10 is worth every penney!
Af iraq have T50 SU25 and alca 159.😘😘💪💪
The C-101 reminds me of the A4 Skyhawk. I don't see it as much of a fighter. On the T-50 Golden Eagle, if you look closely, you'll notice it is nothing more than an F-16 remodeled.
Technically yes, but it's more of a trainer than frontline fighter
I'd hazard to saw the difference is partially from wanting the F-16 conformal fuel-tanks held internally and not like a wart add-on.
Why did you use the AHRLAC in the thumbnail?
Wots a missile cannon?
Hi, where is Place of F-15c , F35?
Does not seem to be a correcting between 1970's prices and todays prices also some people by less for an aircraft and some pay more. but some have paid for twenty or so years of spare parts training and contractor support other have just bought an aircraft and have not looked it long term operations...
where is the bae systems hawk ???
It's actually a jet trainer
This whole list is wrong
Ground attack air planes how bullet proof are they do they protect the Pilot
In an A10 the pilot is seated in a protective tub like enclosure that can withstand high caliber rounds.
Rene Pamin21 I know I was talking about the other planes
Most of this planes are trainers with the hability to drop bombs, fire rockets and some missiles. But 0 protection to survive direct fire.
A-10, SU-25 and even IA-58 are true ground attack planes. Unless you are attacking people with sticks and stones
ALL the quoted costs SHOULD have had the date (year) that the price was for. With few exceptions the prices were not current, nor converted to "consistent XXXX year dollars'. Also the years of production should have been mentioned along with number of engines. Note the SU-25 is made in BOTH 1 and 2 seat variants and is is now made in the former soviet (now independent) state of Georgia. You should also settle on either Metric or Imperial units 'twelve seven millimeter' gun is HALF inch (50 cal), not switch back and forth between the two. Although the initial specs for the A-10 did have two rates of fire, the production models all were single rate of 3900 RPM.
IAR 99 Soim(hawk)...rock's
T-50 Golden Eagle and the A-26 Super Tucano. My two favorite aircraft
Didn't realize the turbo prop Tucano is so expensive. Might as well go for the Alpha jet.
@@rhsjye. Richard you might be right, but we have to consider that the Alpha Jet is not longer built, so the spare parts and technical support is going to be difficult.
By the way, how come the Beechcraft AT-6C Texan wasn't included in the list. It just appeared for a few seconds when the Tucano was shown.
Why not include jaguar..
It can carry nuclear bom..
Deep strike..
The SEPECAT Jaguar has been out of service since pretty much 2005 to 2007.
The Indian Air Force still operates a few, but they are quickly becoming cannibalized.
Venezuela does not have AMXs, the sale of some units was negotiated by Embraer, but the United States prohibited the sale.
A10 IIc hands down. (AMX is interesting, but A10 is better.)
Are there any close air support planes not on this list?
Jim Anderson Yes.
you forgot the Argentinean Pucara the only that have seen real combat
So you're saying the A10 never saw real combat?
A-10 all the way!
AMX A1
Su 25 a flying tank
I hear her voice every day, like an alarm clock, believe me, her voice is more frightening than her weapons😂😂
The video totally forgot to mention that the Su-25 is a copy of the AMERICAN YA-9, which competed with the A-10! ua-cam.com/video/VQsnuM-lZKw/v-deo.html
