"Dropping Dime" is from a time when there were no cell phones.
A snitch would get information from the streets, and then run to a phone booth to make the call. They would drop a coin into the slot.
Calls only costed 10 cents back in the day.

I went to jail a few weeks (Jackson pike, Columbus Ohio probably the nastiest most brutal jail in the Midwest it's called the gladiator school) but never prison I'm super grateful cuz Lord knows I def could be incarcerated right now but I agree I study these damn videos , just in case 🤣

@@clively6229 why would this jail be worse than Chicago or Detroit? Every jail has a division known as "gladiator school ".
The fact you can get an outside charge for not showing up to jury duty while serving a sentence, but they cant figure out you're in there before hand shows how broken the system is.
In the feds it's easy. Certain crimes have mandatory minimums so when guys say they have that charge but they have less time, you know what it is.

I have a year coming up and I almost threw it away literally a moment ago cause of my old drug dealer was hitting me up pressing me into buying some saying how much of a bad friend I am if I don’t come through. No a bad friend is trying to get, “friend” to relapse after fighting for a year to get their life in order. Thank you all for your support. Your guys compliments mean a lot!
On the street if you sell drugs, good way to identify an undercover is change up the meeting spot 2, 3 maybe even 4 times cuz a drug user doesn't care, they'll go wherever but the police like having time to set up everything, changing up the spot makes it so they can't have a bunch of surveillance ready to go and usually they'll just call off the deal, try to reschedule it for tomorrow or something.
Mfz be doing that all the time, but to me its hella pointless lol.
My guy always used a different spot that was kinda in between us for that reason. He’d just use the closest spot to where we were at.

What's up hun! 27yr old female from Montana here, I just got off probation Aug 7th of this year after 8.5 years! In and out of jail and treatment for the first 4.5 years (recovering opiate addict been sober for almost 4 years now!) the whole reason I got any charges was due to a snitch... this snitch wore a wire on me... this snitch was supposed to be me BEST friend! Just goes to show you gotta watch your back no matter what.

Personally I hated letters. For some reason they got me pressed out (depressed). Writing and receiving both. Best thing you can possibly do is put money on their books. Commissary more so than phone (sometimes it's separate). It will give them the comfort of having snacks cause the food is shit especially in county. Plus having snacks helps you socially. Somebody may avoid picking on you just cause they want a couple Whole Shabangs lol. But NEVER let anybody take food from you. Not even a little. Swing on them immediately if it happens. No matter who they are.

Feed them misinformation and watch for the results.
More often than not playing unintelligent thug while you are really thinking at a higher level than the snitch can be your best bet.
That and not needing validation from your peers by dry snitching on yourself.

Just a little advice to the freshies. You never talk about your cases in jail while you're awaiting trial. But you always have your paperwork ready to show when you get to a yard. Easy peasy

I had jury duty 2 times. The morning of you call the court and an automated message will tell you if you have to come in or if your service is not needed. Both times I didn't have to come thru. ( Hartford CT)

I became institutionalized around 20 years old. I knew I was doing a lot of time. I made a few friends and enjoyed a lot of things. Lifting weights. Running. Free rent. Free food. Job. Having the ability to make any decision I want ( weather good or bad). All was good. What sucked was “ I was in prison “.

In my experience- if someone you don't know is trying to be a "friend" - trying to help you out, trying to get in there tight in some way - there's a reason. You're a mark, or they're setting you up. *TRUST NO ONE* (but family, lifelong friends and the Big Man upstairs - GOD.) When I was young and dumb I got played ONCE - But *ONLY* once.
