You just streamlined hair system for artists when it is not even fully vanilla feature tested in battle for real time hair :D . Jaw dropping. The only thing that is sadly missing in Blenders Hair System is collision with the scalp mesh, afaics.

Tilt align has 'Twist Fix' button - try toggling it on. If you can see it then you may need to update the addon, and then update the node (next to deformer list - there is down arrow button, click it and then select 'Update Hair Deformer' - when titl align node is selected)

I tried to make very long hair using this system. But I couldn't control the randomness on the length and the hair was too much different from the parent's. Maybe I did something wrong?

The program is very good but even so there is no tutorial to start using it. You should make a "0" tutorial to show how this program should work. I bought the program because I thought it was worth it and I I'm going crazy to understand at least a little.. 😵🤯
Hi, yes - this is exactly what I'm working on now. If you go to HT discord -> #htool_todos - you will see list of finished task I made for HT 3.0. Literally first point now is finishing docs for HT 3.0 (its gona be huge - moving completly to new hair curves) - and making introduction videos . I did not want to make videos for HT 2.46 (latest stable ver) since half of addon is using old curves (with material uvs hack) and half of addon is using new curves, and I did not like that state. So now everything will be more streamlined (not multi material uv generation hack, no more mix of old and new curves). Hopefully I will finish this in 2 days.

You do not have to do anything special, just assign texture to hair material that your hair mesh/curve is using. When you save the preset - material and texture will be saved with it aromatically.

How do you assign a texture to the hair strands (not individual vertex colored) but as a full Hair texture? Like, I would like to paint different color sections of the hair (do a checker pattern hair) with only (1 map) 1024x1024 texture?
I just added option to sample UVs or vertex color from source surface (the one from which your hair is 'growing') - joseconseco.github.io/HairToolDocs_28/main_workflows/hair_system/#generate-attributes . You can grab this 2.41 update using auto-updater (in addon preferences)

Well yes, I was thinking about that, since people who bought this addon more that 1 year ago got bunch of new features that are not just 'update' but more like half of addon is new (snew hort hair modeling method, new hair rigging + jiggle physics, improved Hair System etc). Will see how it goes.

Even a $5 or $1 upgrade to the latest version is better than nothing. People will complain I am sure but if someone dosn't have a spare $5 then They need to cut back on netflix and other shit iin their lives xD

I found a solution. It was necessary to add the "Clump" modifier. Cool addon!

When trying to store a hairstyle to the library, how do you store the texture image with it?
You do not have to do anything special, just assign texture to hair material that your hair mesh/curve is using. When you save the preset - material and texture will be saved with it aromatically.

I’m getting a bit of out of index error when I apply deformer but the deformer works lol! Where can I report bug 🐛 ? :)
