    Previously I asked you for hair tool for new hair system, which was not incorporated to new hair system.
    But now you did to create quality hair style with lot of varieties 🙏😊

    Thank you very much for this magnificent tutorial. A question. It is normal that when the system has been transferred to a mesh and the hairstyle is finished, and in editing mode the vertices are visible (as in any mesh), when changing to sculpture mode, the blender program closes, sending the desktop screen ?. Thank you again in advance.

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  Рік тому

      Yes, if you transfer your hair system to non empty mesh (eg. to suzanne) then if you use 'finalize hair' - you will get mesh with both suzanne and haircards. If you want to have separate haircards - then transfer thair to empty mesh .
      I cannot recreate any crash though .I would need the blend file.

    How to use the Hair Mesh and textures in Unreal Engine 5?? It's fine you have a nice shading system in blender, but how to make it look like the same in UE5?

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  2 місяці тому

      I have gathered few videos on discord about UE hair (they are not from me, and not about HTool but about haircards in general). One of these vids: ua-cam.com/video/vQcZNIFdzbo/v-deo.html . There is also trick to fix hair that look noisy, but I cant link images here. Again its on my discord: discord.gg/cxZDbqH

    hey that look amazing but is the polycount at the bottom left accurate just for ur hair mesh or does the head mesh is count in ?

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  Рік тому

      The polycount on bottom - in object takes all objects. But at 1:48 it showsk 10k tris. And it is without optimization - u can assign less points (thus quads) for shorter strands - joseconseco.github.io/HairToolDocs_28/main_workflows/hair_system/#simplify-strands . With this I think tris count could go down to 6k tris

      HI, you should see option 'mesh from UV boxes' in here - joseconseco.github.io/HairTool_3_Documentation/hair_profiles/#profile-menu . All you need is flat profile with bunch of UV boxes - see definining UVs - joseconseco.github.io/HairTool_3_Documentation/uv_material/#defining-hair-uvs

    Wow, thank you so much for always putting so much hard work into this addon and continuously improving it! This is by far my favourite tool to use.
    I have a question. you used the blender curve as guide to populate the hair cards but is there any way to use fibermesh from zbrush as a curve guide and generate hair cards , kind of like what you can do with (Geo to maya hair ) ? That would be really beneficial so.
    Thanks as always!

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  Рік тому +2

      In hair system setup section - there is input for 'guide curve'. You can put there any curve. So if you can convert zbrush hair to curve, then they will work ok as guide. (AFAIR zbrush hair is imported as mesh - so u have to convert it to 'CURVES' first ) . New update is coming up very soon, with way better features that were shown here.

    Any plans to update this to also make stylized hair like seen in anime models or Overwatch? Or is the tool already capable of this and if so can we see a demo of more stylized hair?

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  Рік тому

      Anime hair is quite easy to make. You can for example use curve profile - in shape of e.g. elipse and attach it to current hair system. Or if you have very exact shape that you want to achieve - you could use mesh profile - it will basically instance any mesh along hair strands. I want to make new videos, but first I have to finish moving all old HTool tools to new hair curves (mostly done), then update docs, then new videos.

    Hi, at 18:20 you demonstrated using multiple uv boxes. Will multiple UV boxes also work if we use just one curve that have more than one intersecting stripes for the bevel profile ?

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  Рік тому +1

      At 18:20 I showed braids (that were made from child particles). If you use Curve profile (and curve is made from cross) then I think both will share same uvs. But if you used Mesh profile, made like it is show at ua-cam.com/video/RDyPvIv17l0/v-deo.html - then you could make cross profile with unique uv region attached to each cross profile. Using this for braids is another thing (you would have to subdivide these mesh profiles a lot, to get enough density to capture the braid shape)

    • @bartoszstyperek6306
      @bartoszstyperek6306  Рік тому +1

      I could make it so that: if profile is - curve with cross , then this cross stripes would receive randomized UV (based on uv regions). Will see if possible, and I will put it in next update

    Hi, I can't enter edit mode after I bake to hair (you're showing this at 4:43). Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I create a new Hair System under Hair Setup from the active mesh, I transfer it to an empty curve, I then bake it to curves but then when I try to enter edit mode it doesn't work, there is no edit mode. Thank you!
