Iron Heart 14oz Kersey Work Shirt 2-Year Update

- Two years in with my Iron Heart Kersey work shirt, and it's time for a quick update. TLDR: It's awesome, and I'm eyeing the Western Version.
Despite not wearing it as often as I'd like, this shirt remains one of my most comfortable pieces. Its fantastic look and a unique, slow fade creating a lovely patina only add to the appeal. While I've encountered just one minor issue, tune in to find out more.
Note: this shirt is seasonal: it comes back in stock every year

Having owned quite a few work shirts from various Japanese brands, I've noticed that they pretty much all have flimsy stitching holding the buttons on. I've gone in a reinforced the stitching on all of them. It shouldn't have to be done, especially for their pricing, but at least it is a quick and easy solution.
Agreed, even on the coat I've a Real McCoy's Peacoat that was not cheap and the buttons had to be re-attached within 2-3 months. All the effort goes on getting those 40s zips right I guess.
Congratulations on the milestone! I for one love the update videos, and find them even more useful than the first impressions vids. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much. Its good hearing people enjoy them!
Congratulations Cameron! I think 10k in this space is pretty huge! I'm looking forward to what comes next. I hope you have a happy new year!
Genuinely one of my favourite channels, here's to the next 10k.
My Grey Serge Western is probably the most worn shirt in my collection and it's softened up massively with regular wear. I have almost new Black one and the difference in feel between the two of them is night and day!
Congratulations on the 10k subs 🎉
Hey Cam Well done on reaching the 10k subscriptions!
Finally joined the Western ranks my friend 😎 Welcome 👊 I have the military serge as well for years now and they don’t give up at all. Happy New Year 🎉🍾
Congratulations mate!
Never thought i would subscribe to a channel like this, but we're the same size and your reviews are so helpful! Keep it up!
I appreciate that! It was the whole premise of the channel. Pictures are good, but people need to see them on and hear about them.
Congrats on the 10k ! Well deserved :) I've been diggin' your channel since the A2 review
Thanks! That's the OG review hah
can"t beleive it's been already 3 years

Congrats on the 10k Cam. Hope youre loving fatherhood
Congratulations 🎉
this is my favorite shirt from iron heart.. I have many.. wish they would do more colors in the kersey work shirt. they have done the shirt in western in a couple different colors. they pop up on grailed from time to time.
hi cameron love your videos just subscribed!! i just went crazy buying iron heart lately and your videos really do help with the way the proportions each garment is shown!! i have a 16oz non selv cpo black and wow it is rough but i love it but since its hot lately i wanted something light so i bought the new 9oz military serge CPO black and wow its so light and SOFT . im guessing the jump from 9oz to 13 military serge is huge since youre saying its also stiffer and tougher than the kersey! keep killing it man!
I bought that based on the original video. I chose it because it was understated, unlike most flannels which look great but are more eye-catching. I love it anyway, although my button also fell off
I got one of IH heavy flannels last winter. Love it so much! So comfortable. My only complaint with it is also the buttons. Too small for such a heavy shirt. I find that they often come unbuttoned when I sit down and the flannel naturally folds. Iron Heart, beef up those buttons!! Congrats on 10k dude. Cheers.
Well done on the 10 k subscribers! I own a western shirt by Sugar cane, it's really great. I'm considering buying an orange one by a French brand but I'm not sure because that's not something you wear daily.
My son will be happy, he's been after the IH Kersey for a while. Good to know it's coming back in the not to distant future.
Congrats! Could you do a review of that Orslow fatigue shirt you were wearing!
Congrats from OCNJ, USA
Can you please do a review on the green military jacket you are wearing. It's really beautiful.
The IH Kersey feels like being cuddled by a thick and soft blanket. It is a fantastic shirt (have the Western Kersey).
I second that!
It MAY be possible to send this back to IH and have them put snaps on this shirt. Worth the ask? I have the western version. It's amazing.
This is huge! Well done Cam. Kersey is one of the best hands down. How do you wash your shirts?
For stuff like this or anything that fades i usually do them together, inside out on a cold or a 20c, The missus gets funny when i throw them in with the normal clothes haha. I do try and keep them as long as possible until they are dirty. Though now with a 3month old some shirts are getting washed every few days.
Just replace the buttons. I did on mine, with some 15mm 4 hole buttons, and went heavy on the stitching for durability.
I love my western, i saw on IH they will be coming out with different colorways as well.
oh what!! really. I'm all in haha
@@CameronOIt was earlier this year, they posted a picture of their concepts whiteboard. One of the things on it was “Kersey everything” and that was underlined or circled (I can’t remember which) and they confirmed in the thread that they’re wanting to make more kerseys.
Black, Mocha and Grey I believe..

How does it compare to a UES Tricotine?
had a chest button fall off one of my IH work shirts the second day I wore it 😐
Out of curiosity how do you watch it? I've got a Melton Wool CPO from Sugar Cane and I'm terrified that if it even touches warm water it'll shrink.
ELEPHAAAAAAANT
I couldn’t agree more about the buttons! It’s ridiculous!
The price is ridiculous; 260 euro for a shirt 😮
same. I love their flannels but why such flimsy buttons on such great heavyweight shirts
Congratulations! Are you wearing orSlow fatigue shirt there?
Indeed! review coming in the new year. Giving it some wear first. Also got the slim fit pants in black, sized down on both to a 2 (usually a 3)
@@CameronO Nice! I have the slim fatigue pants in green as well and also tried the black ones back in days. I think the black ones felt a bit smaller. I really like their fatigues and got both slim and the regular versions. Btw, orSlow denim isn't bad either. :)
Tried the black ones again. I don't think they're smaller actually.
Hi
The name of green jacket please )
review bourbon and whiskey for the 10k. congratz.
If someone sends me some id do it haha. To be honest my palette is very basic. I wouldn't know where to start!
@@CameronO Its a good addition to the content man. Everyone has very basic palette. Just express the experience like normal people. Just a suggestion. Love the channel. Happy new year.
