Definitely with you about the Origin Factory jeans. I own 5 of them and only wear 2 because in the future I will need them. The feel and the weight are just spot on. I feel so blessed for owning them.
Question for you on those: I had a pair of Delta 68s and hated them. I don't like pants that cling to my legs, and to make it worse, the waist was too loose. Can you speak to the difference in fit? I really want to support Origin, but I want to be comfortable, too.
@@patrickh9937Factory jeans are a looser fit. They fit like normal jeans instead of the skinny jean look of the Delta 68. I’m a big guy and they fit me great. I wear a belt with a pair of leather man’s and a heavy key ring and haven’t had any issues with the waist being loose.
Love the Origin Factory Jeans. I am a high school welding instructor and purchased two pairs at the beginning of last school year. In the cotton t-shirt category, the Kirkland brand is certainly an excellent choice, especially in terms of price point. But, if you don't want 100% cotton, I'd suggest the Carhartt Force t-shirts or the moisture wicking 32-Degree t-shirts.

Aside from those it would be my general everyday cold weather jacket and my lightweight jacket , but I've also got a few with sentimental value that would be additional because they aren't suitable options for those 2 categories.

I appreciate that! But consider seeking out some gently used second hand items. A lot of people who like this stuff tend to cycle through it quickly, and they'll sell it for FAR less than new. Just a little hack for ya!
What makes a "true" minimalist seems to be some component of boring or cheap. I met a guy who calls himself a minimalist to my face and says he doesn't want to spend ANY money when I offer him a deal on some of my old leather jackets that don't fit well anymore. He is wearing Levi's denim pants and Converse All-Star sneakers and some fabric jacket possibly similar to your waxed one without the wax and a black t-shirt. I doubt that he spent more than $20 on any specific t-shirt if they don't have a design on them. Chambray shirts can come in other, more vibrant colors, but a MINIMALIST wouldn't WANT most of them and flannel shirts can be seasonal when Chambray is not warm enough, but I would still also add in wool shirts and khaki pants and some leather shoes for dress and casual occasions that aren't boots OR loafers... Am I forgetting something? Most minimalists would still have more than ONE outfit, too. Same as socks and underwear: Still need multiple pair of pants, etc. And that guy doesn't wear hats, which I consider a necessity most of the time. Um, so I told him that is pretty easy to find inexpensive used leather on ebay now if seeking smaller sizes but I don't know if he would ever wear decent shoes unless at work, either, and I wish LL Bean was still the same place where I used to think I could solve almost my entire wardrobe question but now is pretty much JUST flannels and chambray for me, but don't forget their canvas shirts that I wear more often than chambray. blah, blah
My PERFECT five will always be SEASONAL because it's a hundred degrees right now but I was still wearing wool and flannel into May or June dis year, which hardly ever happens... But FIVE is pretty limiting.
@CarlMurawski Carl, I know this is an older video (~1 year), but I hope you'll do a video on hats, and not just ball caps. My go-to hat, rain or shine, is an oilcloth Outback Trading Company Kodiak style.
What kind of jobs do you guys have that you can afford these exorbitant prices? I'm doing ok, money-wise, but just can't understand why a shirt is $120 bucks. Craaazy. The markups on the material and labor must be phenomenal for these companies.
I feel you on Ashley Weston. She has really sterile fashion opinions and a LOT of recycled content. Plenty of those "men's fashion" youtubers inadvertently steer people away from actually finding good classic styles that people have worn for decades.
I'm concerned for your actual health! I agree with the classic looks that you presented. Some of the costs are out of my budget, but the classic look never goes away. Ashley Weston makes my head fuzzy. She shills for one of the worst Asian dump clothing companies ever!
Can we get a “reasonably priced” list of items? The $1800 boots are just a flex. Nobody else buys those lol. $300 flannels and $200 T shirts. Come on now. Not everyone in New England is a stuffy yuppy! 😂 let’s get real Carl.
Ashley Weston? One ought not engage with children, or take seriously their advice on what to wear. To paraphrase, grown men ought to know what to wear. We’ve been too warn, too cold, had too easy and too hard days. Some of us pack half our closets away over fall for winter and over spring for summer. Neither should we ask relative children what to drink, eat, or anything else we’ve paid dearly to learn. As you might expect, the complete response here would take the lifetime I’ve lived to explain. Gheeesh.😮
@@CarlMurawski what’s up with these places not putting pockets on stuff. Kids ain’t buying them. Grown men are. Grown men like pockets. Unless it’s a “formal” event. That calls for no pocket.

I like Ashlyn but I also like carls take… I try to combine both
$120 T-Shirt. My word.
Or the American Giant for half the price!
Youre not mad at me your mad at your dad 😂😂
Try Engelbert strauss
Need a 6th item. A hat.
Especially as I get older this is so true. Keeping skin cancer at bay with proper headwear is key.
Ashley weston makes me cringe! Grear video Carl!
10 things men over 30 SHOULDNT WEAR!!! Sponsored by Zara
Haha that Wendy’s comment got me 😅
Hahahahaha those Frosty drinks man.... they call to me.
Timberlands and walking poles? Your street cred is taking a pretty huge hit right off the bat.
Bro, you do realize that’s stock footage right?
@@CarlMurawski Bro, you do realize that was a joke right?

Walking poles……lol
My Calvin Klein and cole haan loafers take umbrage to this video 😅
ashley weston curates outfits exactly the same way as chat gpt
Is Ashley Weston an AI?
I feel you on Ashley Weston. She has really sterile fashion opinions and a LOT of recycled content. Plenty of those "men's fashion" youtubers inadvertently steer people away from actually finding good classic styles that people have worn for decades.
I'm concerned for your actual health! I agree with the classic looks that you presented. Some of the costs are out of my budget, but the classic look never goes away. Ashley Weston makes my head fuzzy. She shills for one of the worst Asian dump clothing companies ever!
My doctor prescribed a diet strictly devoid of loafers.
i totally agree: Loofers suuuck!!!!
Hear hear!!!!
Still waiting for the third fast food chain reference
The Happy Meal reference at the end counts!
Anybody who actually changed oil on a truck regularly knows you have different jeans for work, dress and play
Been a full time mechanic too full time parts puller at a junkyard. My pants do everything. No separate nice or play pants
I'm guessing that you've got more than one pair of jeans
Gheeesh.😮
Everest Tee? Where’s the pocket?
Man, I miss the pocket so much...
@@CarlMurawski what’s up with these places not putting pockets on stuff. Kids ain’t buying them. Grown men are. Grown men like pockets. Unless it’s a “formal” event. That calls for no pocket.
Your kicker light is a bit too hot. Makes you look like you’re turning into the Purple Hulk 😜
How do you know I'm not?? Hahaha I just got a couple of these cool RGB tubes and I'm playing around with them, so you'll likely see some odd colors in the next few months as I figure out what the heck I'm doing!
Dang, I was hoping his favorite footwear would be a nice pair of loafers. I’m shattered. 😢
That’s it, go to time out!!!
