  • Namaskaram everybody! 🙏🏼
I picked up a couple of locum shifts last weekend for the first time and I decided to vlog my experience. Thankfully both the shifts went by smoothly without any difficulties. 🤞🏼
Junior doctors strikes are still going on in the UK and I was supposed to be working this weekend. But since it’s strike weekend, I decided to do these locum shifts the last weekend to cover up for the lost time and money.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below and ask me any questions/doubts/suggestions you may have.
As always, thank you so much for watching the video and supporting me. Share it with your family and friends and don’t forget to like share and subscribe. ☺️
See you all in the next video 👋

Hey megh, another informative video. I hope you prioritise your breaks as much as your work and add break as one of the checklist items in your to do jobs list.

Has anyone done their fy1,2 and cts in same city or province. Is it doable for not so top notch people

Foundation years are usually in the same trust as far as I know. I didn’t do mine in the UK, so I’m not entirely sure. But yes, of course you can do both foundation and training in the same city. It depends on your application, exam score and deaneries ranking.

How much you get per hour on locum day?

It varies from trust to trust. It could be anywhere from £40-£70 or more during strike days.

I’m a Telugu medical student almost done now, we’d love to know about your journey, your pathway, all the exams you took coz I personally am pursuing to move to the UK, and I believe there’s people out there who’d find that helpful too. Thankyou!

Please don’t post videos of work place or documents which may have patient details on social media. You could be reported to gmc. Only saying it for your own good.

Hey! Thank you for the advice. I did make sure there are no patient details anywhere. Let me know if I missed any.
