I do have another VALUABLE tip for you ladies! Make sure that after applying the nails, you do NOT get your hands under water or wash your hands for a solid 3 hours. If you wash your hands right away, the glue won't dry properly and it will come off easy. Make sure you ate, bathed and did all chores water related before doing your nails. @@beauty3328 But if you were smart with you're money you would know that 70-120$ is alot of money. Specially for nails that are plastic and get thrown away. Vs investing into stocks or real estate or retirement. Lol Just saying
I’m just glad to see that I’m not the only person who does these. I play piano and type so I can’t have my nails super long, but I love the option of press ons. I can wear them for special occasions and not worry about spending $60+ for them.
Girl, I just wanted to thank you for posting this video! I’m a nurse so I can’t really have acrylics. I did press on nails this way for my wedding, no one knew and not one popped off! So thank you!!
Laur S my nails are so weak and thin, to the point they hurt if that’s makes sense. If you find anything that’s helps, please let me know. P.S I’ve been breaking biotin pills and rubbing it on them, hopefully that works a bit.
Ugh I love how you went straight to the point giving us solid tips, pointers, and reason behind them. So good, I appreciate you for putting this video out there ❤
I LOVE press-on nails! I will never sit down in a salon for hours again. Honestly. What I really love about them is that they always look freshly done. No grow out/new grow.
I've been doing the french for YEARS. They look so pretty. .perfect!.only downside... they split down middle or at the white french line. K wish just a tad sttonger
Been wearing them for 10 years an toes. Work so much better..I still get the money from dudes an tell them going to get my nails done, I go straight to the hair store 🤣🤣🤣
I applied these prior to watching and you are right. They do not come off and look great. One thing done differently is I applied the glue to the nail as well as the press on (I believe the instructions said to do this) and 4 weeks later, the nails still looks good outside of the small nail growth that’s occurred. Will definitely wear for another week or so. Nice video!
I just installed my first set after years and I have a hack for holding the nails down for 15 seconds: they make nail clips on Amazon that will hold it for you and they sell them in packs of 10. I think honestly clothes pins will work just as good. I did this the other day with a chip bag clip and just had it hold my nails down while I worked on the other one and then just moved it. I got more than 15 seconds and they feel like they are holding on strong. Also, with jewelry on the nails you can put a clear gel coat over it and cure it so the gems don’t fall off.
I used to get acrylic nails done at the nail salon. But after a while, I realized having someone else do my nails was just not for me because sometimes I would have to wait a long while to get my nails done or I had to book an appointment if there was availability to get my nails done with the tech. Also, one huge thing I strongly dislike about most nail techs nowadays is that when you want to remove your old acrylics and get a fresh new set, they would just rip off the acrylic from your nail bed instead of putting your nails in acetone first so the acrylic could melt. After discovering how press ons are, I’m going to start doing it as an easier and healthier option for my natural nails while still being able to have the long nails-bling effect.
I watched this video a few weeks ago when I was thinking about getting press-ons to wear for the family Christmas party. I just wanted to come back and say it's almost a week later and after following your technique, these nails are SOLID AS A ROCK. I workout, I'm a domestic girlie (cooking and cleaning) and there is no indication of these coming off anytime soon. I'll come back around week 3 for an update. :)
Yesss girl...I started doing my own acrylics at home...I bought all the tools from aliexpress and started off with a Kiss Kit. With practice I have gotten so much better and started buying my supplies in bulk. They just want our money, they don’t care bout us...plus I was spending way too much every two weeks, like you said kmt...
Marley boss I watched BEGINNER FRIENDLY tutorials of acrylic nails. Then I went out and bought the Kiss Acrylic nails kit, everything you need is in it. Once I got better I bought better products. You need an E File drill ( Ali express has one for $9)
Marley boss Yeah, np...The Kiss acrylic kit is sold at Walmart ...the e file drill is so separately, you don’t have to get the drill but I say get it and start practicing with it. I watched tons of tutorial channels like Long Hair pretty nails and a few others.
Sorry I’m late on this video ! I’ve been using these for years and my hack is that I don’t put them on until after I’ve eaten dinner-I eat early about 5 o’clock( I’m 50 years old LOL )- then they’re on all night without touching water because I’ve already taken a shower and I don’t get my hands wet till the next morning after I’ve had coffee, walk the dog etc. It’s a good 12 to 14 hours. I also use an E file to clean up the cuticles and buff up the nails before I glue them on.I also use gorilla glue. Now I don’t recommend that ,but I’ve mastered it and I soak my nails off etc. It’s not nail glue ,but boy your nails will not come off!
Omg thank you. I’m a youth counselor and the kids that live there love having pamper day. I can never figure out how to make the nails stay on long enough for them. This is perfect! Thank you!
The best thing about this method is you can take them off easily I literally only wear press ons , Finna do mine now because I’m seeing my man tomorrow 😂
I appreciate this video. People can be so judgemental and ignorant about press-on nails like, 'Oh you've got press-on nails because you can't afford to go to the salon.' like what? I'm saving money first of all. Second, some nail techs can damage your nails and make your nails brittle to point where your real nails always chipping and breaking. Please. Thank you for this video, sis. ❤️🙏
@@ashleypowell7956 how you doing today? What field do you work in or are you a small business owner too? I appreciate the friendliness in this thread! 🥰
Been doing this for years. After a week of two I replace anyone’s that look old with left over nails. Everyone is always complimenting me😆 I get mine at target Walgreens cvs or any other big chain drugstores. Never spent more then 12.99. Cool thing is you can find nails for any occasion, even super short for work or bright colors for birthdays or vacations. I always say this is the best way to save your nails. The salon makes your nails so weak.
I have been wearing them for 8 years now. I do mine every 2 weeks. Nobody has a clue. I buy mine in the same stores like you, but I also order from the stores online because they have alot of my old favorites since the stores change styles so often. Check out kmart online too. And people are always selling good bundles on poshmark.
You are a life saver!!! I NEVER apply nail’s correctly and couldn’t ever figure out what I was doing wrong. You broke it down step by step and I am forever grateful. I’ve had mine on three days (a record!) and that’s with a four year olds, dish washing, hair washing and consistent typing. These nails are not moving! Thank you!!!
Very Pretty, I went to Sally's one day to look for press on nails, I wanted the French manicure look, I couldn't find anything good. Thanks for the Video 👍🪴🦋🕊️
Those are my favorite kiss nails they have nice jewels on them!! Kiss has the best designs and quality in my opinion....only thing was it was a lil awkward when I was waving them around one day and my waitress had the same set 😂😭😭
I never mess with my cuticles. It’s easy to get an infection from it especially at salons because a lot of salons don’t clean tools in between clients.
Another tip for my fellow clumsy ladies! I use the clear press one from amazon btw. Get a clear bottle of poly gel/builder gel a cheap lamp and a clear gel top coat. Do all these steps but instead of glue use the poly gel and add the top coat. This gives the nail extra strength and does not pop off. This also works with acrylic as well if you nails have designs already. Use the acrylic as glue.
i push my cuticles back rather than cutting them. i usually use a nail drill, to gently file it down. i go in with a normal nail filer right after to get places i couldn’t get. And then I use a nail dehydrator to get rid of the oils and then glue the nails on. it lasts me 3-4 weeks
Wow, you posted this video right when I was thinking about going back to press on nails. I want to save money up so I can do other things and the timing is perfect. If added up what $137 each month for a year it would cost $1,644 to get your nails done each year. These press ons are really pretty and they save alot of money. Great video!!
I’ve been using press on for 4 years love love how inexpensive getting my nails done now is and in just 10 mins Yes I do exactly what you do and they do last 3 weeks. Your hands look beautiful love the nails too and your energy ❤
But does your hair catch in the back of them?? This is basically the only reason I can never make press-ons work for me - I can't stand the way my hair catches on the cuticle side. 😖
@@briteeyesnsmile I know what you mean! I cannot stand that either. No your hair does not get caught in the back until your nail starts to grow out from the cuticle pretty significantly! That is also one of the main reasons why I I'm not a fan of press-ons or glue on nails. But if you prep the cuticle and press down very firmly your hair definitely will not get caught! :-)
YESSSSSS IM SURPRISED IT TOOK THIS LONG FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE A TUTORIAL. I started wearing these two years ago and i live by them I don’t spend a penny anymore I do my own nails and toes now. I do every step but I do one more additional step. Before the cuticle oil I go back to each nail and add glue directly underneath my nails to seal both ends. I promise yal my nails stay on for 3 weeks I have to take them off myself . The best thing since slice bread ladies. Thanks for the tutorial. Good job I 👍🏼 and subscribe to your channel as well

@@Hellakiddie make sure you buff so the nail polish will have something to stick to. Wipe off the excess dust, move your cuticles back and you should be good. DO NOT use the drug store glue that comes with it. It’s just gooey liquid basically.
I've done this with gel. Buff the inside of nails and apply a layer of base gel on your nails cure for at least 30 secs apply a ball size gel (same size as glue) and cure it for at least 60 secs I always do 2 mins just in case and they will last longer then 3 weeks 😊
I love you for this ❤ I developed my own obsession w press ons in the fall after frequenting the nail salon for YEARS (it has its place like all spa-like activities but press ons are just so much fun!)
Chile, I started wearing press ons again lol. Haven’t worn these since elementary but acrylic and gel nails have seriously damaged and thinned my natural nails. Loving my press ons right about now 💅🏽
I LOVE how you explain each step - you're very down to earth & do an excellent job of using your personal experience with the products to make recommendations.
Looks gorgeous 😍 another tip is in addition to applying the glue to your natural nail, also apply the glue to the artificial nail. This will definitely secure it. I use the Kiss brush-on nail glue and it is awesome. I love using these types of artificial nails 😊
I love press on nails I been wearing them before this coronavirus. And yes all these steps are very important. I never had a nail pop off when I do all these steps. And you're so right my press ons last for three weeks!
I've been wearing the same brand of nails that your using for a few years now. Thanks for all the tips to make them last longer. I always get compliments on them and everyone is always amazed when I tell them that they're fake.
Pro tip if you start with your pinkies and move up towards the thumbs on both hands at once alternating, it makes it so much easier because you can still use your index finger and thumb until the very end
I went to the store cuz my press on nails didn't come with glue and I come back to learn I just so happened to pick up the EXACT one you used in the video! Thank you for the tutorial girl!!
I will honestly say that this is a great option if you can’t afford to go get your nails professionally done or wanting to change things up more often. I bought these exact nails & followed the exact steps that was showed in the video but they only lasted me a week, which I’m not complaining since you get 2 sets for $11.99. Just wanted to put it out there that these don’t last 3 weeks either especially if you clean & are very hands on person. It’s a great option for the price you pay & I think they’re worth purchasing again.
Yass sis😍 got tired of spending so much on nail maintenance at the salon. If you got it like that great but when you decide to treat yourself to a new car(car payments) you will rethink real quick lol
Another tip is that if they are just the tiniest bit too big on the sides FILE THEM A BIT!! You want that perfect fit look to ensure they stay on and look poppin! ❤️

Yes! I've been doing that!! I do all my right hand 1st except the thumb, then my whole left hand... and then my right thumb. :)
Girl you are a lifesaver!! My set lasted almost a month. You're the best.
Which glue did you use?
What glue did you use?
Honestly I was on my way to the nails salon but I pulled up to the dollar store 🤷🏽♀️🥰
khadija G have you put them on yet?
Me too.. 😂😂‼️
Pyt Starr i did but it feels it may come off i need a nice glue

Been doing press on for over 2 years so worth it. I've also used those exact nails last year for my Christmas party. People keep asking where I got them done. My answer Me cassa salon.💅🏡
LOL!!! Luv it "Mi Casa Salon." Gonna wait for the compliments, use that, and wait for them to go "Where is it?"
🤣🤣 it’s the Saloooon accent for me
Period 🤣💪🏽
How long does it last?
It’s casa
That side is a cuticle cutter?? I had NO IDEA. I thought it was for cleaning out your nails. Lord 🤦🏽♀️. Thank you so much girl
🤣🤣🤣 me too, girl!!!
Same omg I never knew how to use that side 😂😂
Ha ha!!! ❤️💛🧡

Yes I’ve done this before and legit lasted me the same vs salon nails lmao and honestly I prefer press one because you save so much money and the hassle of going to a salon. 8$ vs min 60$, I choose 8$ lmao 🤩🤩🤩and it’s not being cheap it’s called being smart with you’re dollar💆🏻♀️
Okay! 😏💅🏾
Mine from the salon have never broken off and i pay 70-120.00 . Im smart with my money since all bills are paid tjis comes from my play money.
@@beauty3328 That's amazing that works for you honey lmao
@@beauty3328 But if you were smart with you're money you would know that 70-120$ is alot of money. Specially for nails that are plastic and get thrown away. Vs investing into stocks or real estate or retirement. Lol Just saying

I’m just glad to see that I’m not the only person who does these. I play piano and type so I can’t have my nails super long, but I love the option of press ons. I can wear them for special occasions and not worry about spending $60+ for them.
I too keep my press on short.
But this video tempts me to get fancy for special occasions!
I love how she said she was going to link it down below “so we can all bling out together” Glad I found this channel 👍

Girl, I just wanted to thank you for posting this video! I’m a nurse so I can’t really have acrylics. I did press on nails this way for my wedding, no one knew and not one popped off! So thank you!!
3.5 weeks & I decided to remove them to work on my garden... this video is FACTS! 🍯!
Wow! 😳🙌🏾
I’ve been wearing press on nails for the past three years and this has not only saved me money but saved my nail beds too. I use this same method
nakea simone what glue do you use? And does it damage your nails? My nails are so thin bendy and weak. I’m more worried about the glue damaging them.
Laur S my nails are so weak and thin, to the point they hurt if that’s makes sense. If you find anything that’s helps, please let me know. P.S I’ve been breaking biotin pills and rubbing it on them, hopefully that works a bit.

Girl! I'm about to do a 12 HR shift after these nails set lol!

@@jennicklos9250 fuxk! My right thumb LITERALLY cracked down the middle today. Went and bought another set for now kiss is the best!

The fact that u get straight to the point 🙌🏾🗣 MESSAGE TO THE LONG WINDED YOU TUBERS IN THE BACK!

“Can you guess? No?? Alright ima tell you...” girl you so cute 😭😭💖
She is so cute😍😍
I laughed at that. Love your personality 🥰😍

Aaaa
Beautiful thank you for sharing ❤️
"So we all can be blinged out together" Miss girl I love your personality 😭💜
I read this comment as she said it 😂
I love that you get straight to the process and not a long intro like other youtube videos.
You can clip and file these down as well! I wore them long to a wedding and then clipped and filed them shorter for work!
That is such a simple but great freaking idea!
Wow I was wondering about that! Thank you
“It’s been workin for me and I want it to be workin for you.” 🥺 “So we all can be blinged out together 💕✨” YOURE SO PRECIOUS THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO💜

@@SolutionsWithinwell I can’t say three weeks just yet but it’s been a week and they are still holding on just like the first day.
Update: came back to say that just a day over the 3 week mark and the first nail just popped off. All the others still holding strong.
Thank you for this @@electr0rganic
Yesss girl...I started doing my own acrylics at home...I bought all the tools from aliexpress and started off with a Kiss Kit. With practice I have gotten so much better and started buying my supplies in bulk. They just want our money, they don’t care bout us...plus I was spending way too much every two weeks, like you said kmt...
Softfire how do you do that do you mind letting me in please
Marley boss I watched BEGINNER FRIENDLY tutorials of acrylic nails. Then I went out and bought the Kiss Acrylic nails kit, everything you need is in it. Once I got better I bought better products. You need an E File drill ( Ali express has one for $9)
Softfire so I need a kit and the drill comes separately?
Softfire and thanks sis I’m tryna go with the acrylic
I know that's right 😊🤣❤️
Lololololol 😆
Aye 😝🙌🏾
Right 😂
😂😂😂 You not wrong!
Paige you've saved me. Nails literally cost $50 here in my college town 😢😢

Kaatsanchez yes this is the exact reason I stopped going to the salon
Same.
Came here to say the same. CVS and Walgreens are the plug esp when they offer a percentage off coupon or have a good sale.
How do you take them off?
The 4 dislikes are by pro mail techs 😂

Honestly I'm a qualified nail tech but even I use press ons sometimes... I do tend to bling them out though, gotta have me some sparkles! 😍
Yep I'll bet it is the techs disliking LOL!
Exactly
🤣🤣🤣
Those are my favorite kiss nails they have nice jewels on them!! Kiss has the best designs and quality in my opinion....only thing was it was a lil awkward when I was waving them around one day and my waitress had the same set 😂😭😭
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😭😭😭 they need to make more designs fr
😂😂 I would've been like we go to the same tech, huh!!😂😂
Like I.mis match them.and you can't tell the difference
OOOOh giiirl you are LEGIT. The removal of oils and the buffering of the nails is an actual technique used by nail techs for gel sets!
I never mess with my cuticles. It’s easy to get an infection from it especially at salons because a lot of salons don’t clean tools in between clients.
Micah Tellison Exactly!
My reason for not going anymore😭
exactly why I stopped going I almost got an infection
That's why I trim my cuticles at home
I experienced that not too long ago n went into full panic mode thinking it was whitlow 😧😭😥😥😨
I tried this and the nail popped off in 1 day 😢. Not sure what I did incorrectly.
i push my cuticles back rather than cutting them. i usually use a nail drill, to gently file it down. i go in with a normal nail filer right after to get places i couldn’t get. And then I use a nail dehydrator to get rid of the oils and then glue the nails on. it lasts me 3-4 weeks
I was doing this 20 yrs ago. Then started going 2 salons. But now with them closed.....doing it myself again.
Wow, you posted this video right when I was thinking about going back to press on nails. I want to save money up so I can do other things and the timing is perfect. If added up what $137 each month for a year it would cost $1,644 to get your nails done each year. These press ons are really pretty and they save alot of money. Great video!!
AndUDon'tStopYo that’s not including fill ins or manicures just to take care of your cuticles 😩😩😩
I’ve been using press on for 4 years love love how inexpensive getting my nails done now is and in just 10 mins Yes I do exactly what you do and they do last 3 weeks. Your hands look beautiful love the nails too and your energy ❤

Allow the glue to become tacky (15 seconds)before putting the nail on your finger and the nail will be secured. You will thank me later 😉

I LOVE how you explain each step - you're very down to earth & do an excellent job of using your personal experience with the products to make recommendations.

I will honestly say that this is a great option if you can’t afford to go get your nails professionally done or wanting to change things up more often. I bought these exact nails & followed the exact steps that was showed in the video but they only lasted me a week, which I’m not complaining since you get 2 sets for $11.99.
