You have such a nice demeanor you could probably sit me down and tell me I owe a couple grand in taxes but say it in such a tone that I wouldn't be upset until after I left
This is perfect for me because I’ve decided not to go to the nail salon anymore, and my at home diy needs improving. 😆 thanks for sharing. You answered all my questions. A tutorial is the perfect video to post after a long absence 👌🏾you popped up on my feed xx
Thank you for this! This was the BEST tutorial I've watched yet. Salons are so expensive, and this is a great way to save and look great! Thanks again! ❤
Hey Ebony. I actually have not seen this method. Glad you shared. I like the simplicity of this. I enjoy the "girlfriend talk" feel of your videos. Also, yes you skin look great, glad you are happy with the results.
Thank you SO much for this video 🙌 i Never used press on because they won’t last long.. after seeing your video I gave it a try, and I’m just loving it, i had my nails done for 30 years, and this is the first time I’m using press on nails. I do my own nails, and I’m definitely going to make a lot more press on in the future .. thank you once again, you have a new fan and follower in me 🙏♥️ hugs from Anne (Denmark)
I was reading some folks can be super allergic to this method cuz sometimes the press on nails have too much color to let the light penetrate thtough to the gel and it's not getting fully cured and some people like me are super allergic to that stuff when it's not fully cured... That's why I read everything I could find about it online I had a super bad reaction. I'm so sad because I love playing around with the stuff and would love to try this hack 😢 but these uv curable products can be highly allergenic to certain people like me unfortunately...man I was a painful blistery rashy mess😳😬stick with the lightest most translucent colors so the UV light can penetrate into the gel and fully cure it if you get a tendency for rashes
Thank you for this video. I use to get my nails done at the salon. Then I moved, the nearest is 90 miles away. One way…… I miss having pretty nails. They used end tips, that powder stuff that turned to a solid and my natural nails were in tough shape. They took off so much of my natural nail in the process. So huge thank you for THIS video, it’s answered many of my questions. I’m looking forward to having pretty nails again. My natural nails just break, all my life. I didn’t have anything crazy just pretty and not even that long as I need to type for work. ❤
Good luck to you and good for you that you got the dermatological procedure done ❣ Lololol, I'm 65 and been using DR. BRONNERS PEPPERMINT OIL CASTILE SOAP since I was 15 years old. A big bottle was $5 for YEARS. Then DR. BRONNER passed, they changed the writing on the bottles' label and the price went up to $20. GREAT STUFF!!! Thank you for your vid. The thing is getting the press ons to LAST 💅🏼 I have L.A. COLORS GEL LIKE POLISH and I love it!! It's shiny, it dries fast, it doesn't chip but I doubt it will do the trick. The UV light that goes through the press on and activates the gel polish is the key. Great idea, girl!!! Your method is AWESOME!!! Definite positive 💅🏼 💟
Thank you!!! I'm sporting my first set of press ons with some pretty nice glue. But I have all the products and lights. I could do mine cheaper!! Aslo your skin looks amazing. I am new here !!! You're beautiful!!!
Thank you very much for this tutorial! This is better then glue on the nails. And it look very beautiful! How can i take them off? What would you recommend?
I used to do that and it works, until one day like the 5th time I started getting allergic reaction to HEMA. Now I have to glue them with acrylic powder. Works as well.
They look great!! I got a question though, would they only work with see through press ons? Or will it work with any press ons? Because I wasn't sure if the gel would cure under the LED if the press ons weren't see through
I got an allergic reaction to gel a few months ago and now I am scared to try again. So I prep my nails the same way and use a nail glue that comes in a bottle with brush so I am able to apply it well.
That’s what I do too but how do you get them off. I bet mine would stay on until they grew out! I’ve tried acetone soak, dawn soap and 14:39 oil, and Makartt Glue Remover. Nothing will budge them. How did you do it?
@@lindmarcellaIt definitely does not come off you need to physically remove them. I did it with nail files. When you soak them in acetone they become softer and easier to remove. Just be careful when you get close to your natural nail so you dont take a lot off. Also for mine when it was really thin layer it came off in small chunks so I did not have to file every single bit.
Great video😍I was wondering if there is a possibility to GET the nails off easily in case one brakes off or for another reason.. you want to take them off ? How to do it, anyone knows ?
I have to tried this method before using the top coat, I’m not sure what I did wrong but it didn’t work for me. The nails popped right off. I need to give it another try.
So you used the primer and then gel nail base, pressed on ur fake clear nails and cured-then applied 2 coats of regular (not gel) nail polish and one non gel top coat. Do I have that right? I can’t wait to try this! Thank you🤗👍
Question: can the Kiss brand that is the acrylic nude be used for this? Or do you have to use the ones in this video? Thank you for sharing this game changer!🔥
Thanks for watching! They don’t have to be these nail but I highly recommend using nails that the UV light can pass through, or they may not adhere well (or at all).
Hey Shari, I've never tried this method with the Kiss French manicure nails, so I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. If they don't have too much color, it may not hurt to try. Let me know how it works for you.
Thx so much for the info. I do press ons but use glue. I gotta try ur method n see if I like it better. I also want to try the essential oils. You look beautiful as always. Continued blessings.
Yep! The first time I ever did it this way, one of the press on nails wasn’t 100% in contact with my own nail so that made it easy for water to seep through.
Hey! As I mentioned make sure that every part of the artificial nail comes in contact with your full nail. Press and hold while curing under the lamp. That’s how I avoid air bubbles.
Thank you all so much for watching this video! For those asking how to remove the nails, I soaked them in acetone.
You have such a nice demeanor you could probably sit me down and tell me I owe a couple grand in taxes but say it in such a tone that I wouldn't be upset until after I left
Such a super detailed experience lol has this specific thing happened to you?
I have watched many tutorials with this method but I must say this is by far one of the best I have watched. Very easy to follow.

I love this! It gives me hope that I can stop spending a small fortune and still have beautiful nails!
Hey Ebony. I actually have not seen this method. Glad you shared. I like the simplicity of this. I enjoy the "girlfriend talk" feel of your videos. Also, yes you skin look great, glad you are happy with the results.
Hey! I appreciate you saying that, and thank you for tuning in. 🥰

YES! I hope you love this method, Tan!
Your nails look classy !!! Thank you for the tutorial ❤❤❤
Love your hair... So cute on you....THE best video yet on these press on nails im DEFINITELY TRYING this method thanks FOR sharing!!!
Thank you! I’ve tried this technique in past but had bad bubbles that made them pop off in 1st day. I will try this way next time. TYVM!
girl this helped so much! what a life saver. now i can save some dollars!! Thank you so much!!❤️

This was a nice video. I might have this method. Very pretty and elegant.
They turned out so pretty!

Thank you. I tried this and they lasted a full week before any popped off. This will be my continued method.

What brand of nail gel did you use for the base coat. Thank you for posting!!
Thank you very much for this tutorial! This is better then glue on the nails. And it look very beautiful! How can i take them off? What would you recommend?
Thanks for watching! I used acetone to soak them off.
Wow, I'm so impressed, ❤️❤️ So it have to be a certain Basecoat? I tried this Step by Step and they fell off 1 by 1. Tyfs
Thank you! Im a total newby.I know nothing about applying nails but so sick of mine am going to do this.😍😍😍😍
I used to do that and it works, until one day like the 5th time I started getting allergic reaction to HEMA. Now I have to glue them with acrylic powder. Works as well.
I feel like I'm on The late show. But this was a dope tutorial!
Excellent job!! Thanks for sharing🎉
This was brilliant! Thank you!
What is the name of the gel polish that your using? I must've missed it.
one of the best false nail tutorial on UA-cam, I normal use gel pads, yes are good, must try your way thank you Ebony x
This is great. A dot of gel builder with the cure lamp makes them last long as well.
How do you remove them after pls?
They look great!! I got a question though, would they only work with see through press ons? Or will it work with any press ons? Because I wasn't sure if the gel would cure under the LED if the press ons weren't see through
Do not do ones that are colored, please😊
Your natural nails are so perfect 😍 I can’t wait to try this method I feel like the glue has been messing up my nails. are they easy to remove?
Thank you! When soaking them in acetone, it takes about 10-15 minutes.
How do you remove the nails?
Can I use the nail tips that already come colored?
Honestly, I've had the best experience with the clear ones. Give the colored ones a try and let me know how they worked for you.
Your natural nails are lovely. Thank you for this video. I am going to try it this week!
I enjoyed the video.
Thanks for sharing Ebony! I've been playing with the idea of getting a UV lamp but this is giving me a push lol.
Thank you for watching! 🥰 Gone ahead and get that lamp! Lol
Yes, I don't have one either and doubt a blow dryer will work.
This method is the best I've seen, so the UV lamp is the way to go 💅🏼
💅 Gotta try this! Looks easy
The primer is different then the gel top coat, correct?
I was going to try to use the 5 in 1 builder gel but I might just try this instead .
Mani/Pedi at the salon plus tip to tech!! A small fortune i can’t do this.. 😢
I got an allergic reaction to gel a few months ago and now I am scared to try again. So I prep my nails the same way and use a nail glue that comes in a bottle with brush so I am able to apply it well.

Thank you! I typically soak mine off with acetone. To remove them faster, you could carefully use a nail drill.
How long do they last?
I have to tried this method before using the top coat, I’m not sure what I did wrong but it didn’t work for me. The nails popped right off. I need to give it another try.
Liked it in advance because
1. You be knowin!!! I need press ons for an upcoming project.
2. I already know it’s gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ayyyyeee! Thank you, Kenya!!! ❤️
Your hair is beautiful. How did you achieve this look?
Thank you! It’s a unit.
Hello how are you
An can I use a nail primer is that okay if I don't have an of the one you have
Great tips. Also looking to get my DPN’s removed.
Beautiful! Thanks!
I’ve never seen this method, going to try
Can you provide the name of the base coat you used?
I used Mefa gel base coat, but you can use any clear gel polish that requires curing.
Can I use LED lamp or UV?
I can't wait to try this. Thank you so much Sister Girl 💞💞💞💞 Peace ✌️🌈🙏🏼😍
Wait you used uv gel top coat over regular nail polish and the nail polish didn't wrinkle & shrink underneath?
Hello. How do you remove the nails? I’m sorry use acetone?
So you used the primer and then gel nail base, pressed on ur fake clear nails and cured-then applied 2 coats of regular (not gel) nail polish and one non gel top coat. Do I have that right? I can’t wait to try this! Thank you🤗👍
Yes, that’s correct!
@@EbonyBomani Thank you:)
Gelish soft gel tips are clear
What nails did you use?
Thank you for this video. I m going to try this method out!!
Hope you love it!
Please. How do tou remove them?😊
buy the polygel clips to hold it in place
I heard you can set regular polish in the uv/led lamp
I’ve always wondered about that but never tried it.
Thanks for this tip! If the press on is opaque will the gel still cure? Also how do you remove them?
I don’t think they’ll adhere as well if they are opaque but maybe you can test it out to be sure. I soak them off to remove.
These are white not clear
I love doing my nails but can never can stay on Ii use glue put they still come off could you tell me how to do them right
Please do a video on how you soak it off
Thank you

@@EbonyBomani thank you!
Thank you @ebony Bomani
Great info thanks so much 😊
This is so great! Thanku 💛
I love it 😍
Can u put the gel and artificial nails on all ur fingers of one hand before putting under the uv lamp?
Wonderful for someone allergic to nail glue!
This is a game changer!!
Do the nails have to be some what see through in order for the base coat to cure?
I heard that
How strong should the uv lamp?
I’m always washing my hands and doing dishes
Wow, so nice!
How long do your nails last when you do this method?
Does the soak off process destroy the nails? Can the nails be used again?
My nails have been just fine and no, the nails shouldn’t be used again.
New subscriber now great video
Can you do this to press on that has already been painted
What do you use to remove them?
Acetone
Super cute!! I thought they were your real nails when you posted your mani on IG! 😱 I’m definitely trying this, thanks for sharing! 🤗
Thank you, LaPorcha!!! 🥰
Would this work with Kiss French manicure nails? I know you said get ones without color
Hey Shari, I've never tried this method with the Kiss French manicure nails, so I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. If they don't have too much color, it may not hurt to try. Let me know how it works for you.
Thank you 👍🏽
Thanks for sharing, one question, how well will it work if you don't have the light
You can try the kind of gel polish that doesn’t require the UV light, but you won’t have the same longevity.
@@EbonyBomani Thank you
Thx so much for the info. I do press ons but use glue. I gotta try ur method n see if I like it better. I also want to try the essential oils. You look beautiful as always. Continued blessings.
Thanks for watching! I hope you give this method a try. ❤️
Builder gel, or solid glue and then a few minutes under UV Lamp to cure also works easily, and will hold for weeks.
I tried this method with builder gel cured them under lamp they popped right off! Not sure what I did wrong 🤷
Nice
I use gorilla glue. Best thing i ever found. They dint cime off no matter what y do!!!
Has a nail ever popped off with this method for you? Thank you🥰
Yep! The first time I ever did it this way, one of the press on nails wasn’t 100% in contact with my own nail so that made it easy for water to seep through.
@@EbonyBomani Hi, I truly appreciate your honesty with this persons question in regards to your nail popping off. New subbie🥰
Surprised the water and 'oils' don't affect the longevity of the nails staying securely on and for a decent time.
Heyy, I used this method and got several air bubbles, any other suggestions on doing it with minimal air bubbles?
Hey! As I mentioned make sure that every part of the artificial nail comes in contact with your full nail. Press and hold while curing under the lamp. That’s how I avoid air bubbles.
This is perfect! How do u remove the nails?
I typically soak them off.
Gotcha thank u!
Did you make a removal video ???
U answered it at the end thanks
