Beautifully shot as usual! Looks pretty cold - probably due to them spraying the sky with their poison. I used frown on freshwater fishing but have now really fallen in love with the canals in the UK. Also great to have options - as you say - beats a cold windy pier. I need to get out 🎣soon. It wasn't that cold. I had to use them om Friday. It was -5° when I get to West Bay. I can't fish properly in gloves. Can't feel the rig and bites properly

Rudd seem to be the most active this time of year, they never slow down!
I prefer them in the summer. It's harder not to catch them than cast and hook one instantly.

Can't beat the Freshwater when it's nasty on the coast. Spoilt for choice down here. Very lucky
