I just bought this to replace my two fuel pumps but there's no wiring diagrams and why do I have to splice into my original truck harness? Why can't it just be plug and Play
Thank you for your video. My old 6.0 had two plugs on the hfcm. The new has only one. What the second plug is for? What would happen if i don't connect the second plug on the cfcm?
i just ordered a delphi pump , fg0236 , for my 2000 dodge ram 5.9 gas truck and im wondering if you can tell me if it comes with a new wiring harness as the original one has the ''lock'' on it which slides into place at the rear of the pumps fitting to lock the two peices together and the lock peice is broken on my truck so harness needs replacing . and if the pump doesnt come with new harness im wondering if you could direct me to where i can buy one as ide like to be ready to install new pump as soon as it arrives as my current pumps going . and ive searched internet and am unable to find this harness
I think it must be to keep the diameter of the combined splices down. If the connections are offset from each other the thickness will not be additive. This does point out that every step must be explained and do not assume your target audience knows. The same should be said for the use of jargon and acronyms. Acronyms are terribly misused especially in written instructions.
and u connect blue to red, black to gray, orange to your nose, probably... Even doe, u did it on a table, not on a car, doesn't help at all !! Waste of time..
@@anthonymoore6492 it would be nice to have a wiring diagram to refer to. They do not make them available anywhere online and since my diagram was not in the box, I am left with a brand new fuel pump installed that doesnt work. Why on Earth would Delphi not make the wiring diagrams a downloadable file from their web site?? @@AaronKraftCreative i feel your pain. just got one today( cause i want to use a good pump). But of course it doesn't have a wire diagram to go by. Got a bunch of other useless paperwork about cleaning your tank, and being careful around fire. But most important thing and its not there. If they could have at least marked the A-B-C-D on their connector would have been fine. And their connector pins are not in the same spot as other brands. went to their website for information, useless. have a phone number with 11 digits. can only email. we'll see what happens. Obviously there's two thicker guage wires(which are for the the pump). The other two for sending unit. But which ones to which? Douchebags!
@@silverado2500wr450 same here I bought these pumps because they were an upgrade and neither had instructions for wiring diagrams. It's pointless to cut the old connector off your car
I have the same problem with the new Delphi fuel pump I just installed in my 2000 mustang. The idiots have the fuel pump dead grounded to the sender ground if you use the new fuel pump assembly the way it comes out the box. Also no new connector or wiring diagram in the box with new pump. The way they have it wired new out the box the fuel pump runs constant at 125psi which is 3X the fuel pressure my V8 mustang should hold on the fuel rails on the motor. The idiots didn’t even include any instructions letting you know it may require rewiring for different applications. Horrible service for a brand new assembly and the fuel tank has to be taken out again and these idiots should have to pay for it. I may take mine out tomorrow and just send the entire assembly back to get my money back since I still have 2 weeks to return for a refund before my 30 days are up.
This is mostly for older cars. I've got a truck I need to rewire because all the replacement fuel pumps are now 4 pin flat. The old one is 4 pin round. The switch was made around 2005, my truck is a 1998.
@@hondaslave-kd6hi That would cost more money to be manufactured. Standardizing parts means standardizing methods and thus cheaper. What you are thinking of would only end up being a specialty part that would be sky high. If you want plug and run im sure you can find one but its gonna cost you a small fortune.

This is about as useful as a box of rocks

your wiring diagram for 2000 isuzu rodeo does not match. now i am stuck.
What this video we see nothing only wires cutting far away
Why stagger the cuts?

So if the crimps come off or fail the wires cant touch each other.
Why the music? It's annoying.

Make sure you use most of the new wire harness as possible to ensure you haev new wire as there ma be bad wire on old wire Just saying
Do yu need heat gun
Or I can hook up my new 6x9 soeakers because that's wtf u just did by not explaining anything.
We already know how to strip wire ffs
Your stupid wiring harness mod screwed up my electrical system. Why not make a compatible part instead of taking shortcuts
Or even easier, connector to connector... But that way mechanics stay out of moneeey....

Why would you buy a wiring harness that's not compatible to the car. It doesn't make since to buy the have to cut it. Bad video
