    Excellent video, thank you! I take my family out once a year from PA so I like doing my homework first. As fun as it is watching these pro level riders, it's much more helpful when you see how the average Joe is riding, I can visualize me and my kids doing what you do.
    Thx pal

    Thanks for the informative look at the trails. I was planning on an angelfire trip this summer but I think we'll hit Telluride instead...about the same distance from Tucson.

      I saw your other comment but for some nutty reason YT won't let me reply to it. But to answer your question, I'm now on a 2020 Santa Cruz V10. I'll be on the Mtn a ton this year. White Fox helmet, light gray V10. Let's shred. I just bought a house 6 miles from Dolores. It will be a vacation home for us not perm.

      @@pvclassic Great, I'll definitely look for you..I raced cross country on the east coast for many years and just moved to CO in February, so this will be all new to me..It looks awesome and can't wait until the park opens officially (do you know?) I actually had an order for a Jet 9 but once I knew I was coming west, I changed to a RIP last minute..I've never had a Santa Cruz but I know the reputation..You must be psyched!

    Thanks man!!! I cant wait, will be there in a few weeks. I ride a Rocky Mountain Growler which is a "progressive" hard tail. Its pretty raked out in front with 140mm fork, it downhills very well but its still a hard tail, do you think Ore Hopper will okay on a bike like that?

    You ever see any fat bikes? I’m from MN and coming out in late June for Pikes Peak hill climb and looking to do some wheeling in Ouray. Thinking about dragging bikes out but only have one full sus. I have two hard tails that would be ok, one full fatty. I ride this kind of stuff in retired iron mines in Northern MN. I feel like it would be fun. It’s actually less technical and seems pretty flowy, except that one I think T-bone that looked rideable on the fat but I’d have to go slow. Any advice please, I’m open to renting, then I wouldn’t have to drag my gear all the way out! Thanks!!

    • @pvclassic
      @pvclassic  2 роки тому

      Can't say I've even seen it, I'd be concerned you'd want a little more suspension and less rebound from what those tires provide. There's tons of xc trail up there too. Some accessed by the lift as well so I'd suggest booking up on those. I fact there's an amazing one that takes 20 minutes to get bk to the bottom and is 85% DH. That is take a fat tire on all day. Check it out I think it's called Prospect. And you may really like Boomerang and Magic Meadows too. Xc stuff but seriously fun.

    You cut out all the challenging spots. Did you crash? It's cross country, but it's a test of endurance, especially the short, steep climb after the stream. The second half is pure exileration. But, looked like you rode backwards on that trail. Big no-no. Locals would not appreciate some yahoo screaming straight into them, especially at the wrong location. Next time, no matter what the stupid signs say, DON'T return on the same trail you rode out. Every trial is a big loop that should be followed in one direction for true SAFETY. Prospect was and always will be my favorite trail because it offers everything you want, in short sections, along a long, dynamic trail.
