While his ability to avoid going down got talked about a lot, I never really heard anybody talk about how that allowed his o-line (or even his QB) to get downfield and make second level blocks. A slow five yard run could easily turn into a 20+ yard gamechanger if he shook just a couple tackles. Absolutely unreal player

Nah, there's plenty of argument on GOAT status for most positions, basically all of them. The only two positions I consider a locked-up GOAT discussion are Jerry Rice for WR and Brady for QB. And people will still argue those.
For RB you can easily make arguments for a number of other players, Barry Sanders and Walter Payton foremost among them, LT and AP as well if you're weighting the modern day era more heavily since there's less emphasis on the run.

Buffalo had Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller on their roster as well in his last season. Fred Jackson had 1300 Yards from scrimmage in about 10 games the season they traded Lynch. Lynch was still on his rookie contract too. Better to trade and get value instead of him being on the bench 2/3s of a game. That run against Cincy is my favorite run by any Bill.
