Born and raised in LA, and was too young to truly be a Raiders fan when they were here, but I know that the Raiders connection is strong between Oakland and LA. However, the hyphy movement hit LA hard when I was in high school, and we fell in love with Bay Area culture and music and fully supported it and adopted it down here as well. That was such a special time because I remember how culturally unified California felt at the time, which we all know usually isn't the case and all of our sports team's fans hate each other (aside from the Raiders before they moved to Vegas.) I say all that to say that even for a lot us down in LA, we truly understood and appreciated the value of this moment. This was not only big for Bay Area identity, but California identity, and black Californian identity, as well as black California culture as a whole. This must have been so eye-opening for some of his teammates who were unaware of the culture, and how strong their identity as a city is but as often not spoken about in the mainstream. So cool, man.

MarShawn Lynch is a huge spark plug to a team. He was the engine and force that made the Seahawks great and got them to two Super Bowls. He had Seattle fans jumping up and down so hard it caused an earthquake. He's easily my favorite football player ever. Oakland you guys got a real one at running back now. We watch him down here in LA and root for him. LA has big time luv for the Raiders. Cali love all day from LA to the Bay.
Connie B: Well I don't like the fact that they are going to Vegas that's for damn sure. I am in DC and I am a quasi Raiders fan meaning I admire the organization going back to the late 70's when I was a kid. When they were suffering in the 90's and 2000's that was very very sad. I am so happy that they are doing well now. I probably won't root for them again if they move to Vegas and yes, I will feel sorry for the Bay Area fans if they lose the Raiders. If Marshawn leaves, it serves them right but I don't think he's going to leave regardless but you never know. Now as far as racism, I didn't know it was like that in Vegas but I wouldn't be surprised and that would be all the more reason why I won't cheer for them anymore (unless they move back to Oakland).
This guy had one of the craziest nfl careers. Out in Siberia in Buffalo, comes over to relevance in Seattle for the mini dynasty. Becomes a huge star and then goes to Oakland were he's still doing iconic things.

This must have been so eye-opening for some of his teammates who were unaware of the culture, and how strong their identity as a city is but as often not spoken about in the mainstream. So cool, man.
I'm from LA and you put this into perfect perspective I graduated in 06' I feel bad for people who didn't get to experience that time when Bay2LA was in FULL Motion and the streets was LIT! Shoutout to the Bay for Hyphy movement and the Sideshow!
Great moment in football tbh. My boy was proud to play for his hometown, my town. My boy man.
@@gustavocardenas3694 of course
MarShawn Lynch is a huge spark plug to a team. He was the engine and force that made the Seahawks great and got them to two Super Bowls. He had Seattle fans jumping up and down so hard it caused an earthquake. He's easily my favorite football player ever. Oakland you guys got a real one at running back now. We watch him down here in LA and root for him. LA has big time luv for the Raiders. Cali love all day from LA to the Bay.
Man I am so happy for the Raiders. It looks like they may be back now and Marshawn gives them so much life.
Now as far as racism, I didn't know it was like that in Vegas but I wouldn't be surprised and that would be all the more reason why I won't cheer for them anymore (unless they move back to Oakland).
jesusneverexisted300 I just hope they can beat the Chiefs twice
We had life b4 Beast came back
I just wish they came back to LA. guess I'll be taking more trips the Vegas then 😎

Just a man living in the moment. Legend
This guy had one of the craziest nfl careers.
Out in Siberia in Buffalo, comes over to relevance in Seattle for the mini dynasty. Becomes a huge star and then goes to Oakland were he's still doing iconic things.
