Another great start to the New Year off watching Jason rescuing, pulling and pushing VW's around! I couldn't think of a better way to start the New Year ! Have a happy & healthy 2025!
Any Oval that can be rescued has a tremendous resale value, at least that's the case here in New Zealand. With so many parts and panels still available for these cars its gotta be worth doing if one has the time to do it. Good luck!
Happy New Year . Thank you for keeping me entertained. I feel your pain, I am in the middle of building a 32 Ford that the chassis was being used by my wifes grandfather as a cotton trailer. Needless to say it has been a long dirty process. You keep me inspired.
Been subscribed awhile now. Even on your worst day you've got to know you've found your heaven on earth. My passion is storage units. No matter what I'm grateful. Love watching people when they are doing their passion 😊
Thanks Jason for another fab episode, crafted by weaving oldie and fresh threads into the fabric that makes the tales of 5150mxVW. Happy old jacks, Bubba.
@@tylersnedeker5577 yeah, the guy i bought it from like to hang decklids in his shop.. I didn't notice if he had it on the wall....any history on the car?
@5150mxVW it came out of loudon it sat on a hill for years and then the owner was selling out so it had to go, I do salvage so that's how I ended up with it. Other than that I don't much more about it, aside from the deck lid being changed it's about in the same condition I sold it in.
I can’t believe that luggage tray was solid as it was. You were very fortunate there. Saving yourself quite a bit of money. Happy new year great video as always.!!✌️
And Happy New Year from Aus 🇦🇺to you and your family. Jason love your work, and I'm looking forward to the Larry inspired restoration Nearly fell off the chair when i thought you'd cut a VW up😂 thanks for the video
Happy New Year, Jay. I too am attracted to the Rust McCrust. Excited to watch this project. I’m spending a lot on metal for my ‘61 so23. I’ll tackle the crusty squareback maybe next year.
I seen you pushing, and then I seen the sky. 😂 I think my back gets sore watching you lift engines. Parts are much more expensive now! Happy New Year my friend!!! Rusty beige 😂 Larry!!!
Even though the oval window is beyond repair. Cutting one up and trashing it on video will inevitably bring out the "oval trolls". Thanks for another great video!! Happy New Year!!!
I show it was previously cut up when I got it …the short clip of me with the sawzall in the beginning was just to set up the next clip of me lifting the shell off . I show the car at the end as I received it .
Couple of funny moments in this episode, the poor little fella comment from Vacation, and then later on when you were working on it out in the driveway, it was like you were practicing what you were going to say to Jen when she spotted yet another crispy VW in the driveway.
I see blue sky and no rain. I start to think, "Am I on the right channel"? There isn't a forest that hates him with a river of water everyday. But, then you said you starting out the year broke while sitting in a rusty beige interior '55. I knew then all is well. This will be a fun project to follow. See you next time around.
“Seized bolts roasting on an open fire…”! Thanks for an entertaining 24 and here’s to the New Year! Different (yet always entertaining and informative) NY’s video. I remember one a couple of years past with you, a Thing, and a bottle of bubbly, haha! Also, the opening with you picking up and flipping over the top of the car reminded me of the mid 70s “Lite Beer from Miller”… the retired athlete saying “I love these easy opening cans!” Well done!
Our ‘55 single cab was built in April of that year. Ours has blinkers and a few other updates like the air intake over the windshield. Up through March of that year the scabs had semaphores. Probably the type1’s were changed around the same time to blinkers.
Yes, save all of it, get those cars and parts undercover! I was a VW tech from 69 to 77, accumulated a huge amount of parts, which I foolishly sold. still have all my special tools. enjoy your videos 📷 thanks!
I bet if you try and take the motor out it will will be stuck like that one you had. You have a soft spot for run down hard to do projects. Happy New Year Jason!!
So good to see you Jason back at it on the first day of 2025 this looks a bit of a challenge and we know you can make this baby good again so my very best regards and Happy New Year Andy Allen.
Back in the late 60’s I would regularly buy and sell 50 and 60s running driving VWs for 500 bucks. If only I had the wherewithal to have kept at least ONE,
Happy New Year!! Unfortunately sometimes they are too far gone to save them all but they can help other bugs live on. One of those I will restore it and then it sit's outside for 40 years.
Awesome, youve got the job i wish i had, though im an NSU man myself, ive owned a lot of the old weird postwar bubblecars and microcars, even built a fiberglass Messerschmitt cabin roller cabriolet replica body once. Im in Western Massachusetts, itd be great to give you a hand , info, or tips. Odds are if you ever see a new England NSU, its probably one ive owned. Lol. Happy New Year
Happy New Year Jason & Family & All fellow channel watchers

I think my favorite rescue of 2024 was Buses in a stream. 👍👍👍👍
I think that's how I ended up taking a month off lol

Happy New Year, Jay and all! It's great to see you starting the year with another rescue day one!
thank you JP!
I sold this car about four years ago out of New Hampshire, it's cool to see it pop up on here!
what happened to the seats and W decklid?
@5150mxVW there were no seats when I had it there was a matching deck lid on it when I sold it i noticed it had been changed.
