This is one of the BEST intake/harness removal videos I've seen. I'll be doing this to my '13 STI this weekend to replace the engine harness with a brand new OEM harness, along with installing new injectors and a new OEM TGV set that I've removed the flappers (but kept the motors and sensors intact).
Wow you got it out so quickly. Planning on this taking me at least a day, thanks for the video reference and talking it through!
Np glad we could help! Good luck! Lol
By far the best video for this on UA-cam. I'm replacing fuel rails, injectors, tgv delete, bpv, and my radiator/ oil cooler
Awesom glad we could help!
Always has great attitude and knows so much
And patience! Crazy how much detail is in everything he does.
Juannnn you did good for being “camera shy”. Jj you’re always great 👍🏽
Thanks!
Great video, the step by step format is awesome for us shade tree mechanics. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Lots of videos simplifying this process, real deal guys. Must watch if you’re gonna take it off
Thank you this helped me A LOT!
Glad we could help! More videos coming soon!
Looks like the whole engine needs to be disassembled!
Now I know why a Honda K24 monster is better. No headaches like this!
Crazy how they just doing it like it’s non 😂 I mean I’m pretty sure I can pull it off but damn there is just so many parts 😂😂
That’s a lot of work.
It is I would just take it to WRXperts to do lol
Love the subaru content always 🔥🔥
Cre8tiveGarage thank you!
So...”basically” a great how to video! Lol
Lol yes!
Damn I probably would have removed all of the stuff from the manifold instead of with the manifold. Thankfully I watched this before doing it
Glad it helped!
So the vid was edited to 26 mins but how long did it actually take?
Great content btw! 👍🏽
Thanks! The whole install with all 3 videos was an all day event. Recording does make it take longer though.
I dont think u needa remove the entire engine bay to get off the IM
We did some fuel upgrades also lol
You definitely don’t need to. Though I kinda understand why they did it the way they did.
"So we're gonna remove the intake manifold today, we'll start by lifting the car, and we're gonna go ahead and pull the cat back off. You know, just for more room, and to make life a bit more easy"
Juan, mucho trabajo!, hey im wondering what is the easiest way to remove the intake manifold with or without the harness and components?
WRXperts can help you with any other questions you can reach out to them on Instagram or Facebook
@@JotaJotaSTI sure, currently im on stage 2 protune in my 15 STi, planning to install ETS 3.5 FMIC up pipe, 38mm EWG, headers, upgrade fueling, id1300cc and doing E85. That tutorial...exelente, tengo mas confianza ahora en remover el intake manifold.
about to go E85 with the 2015 STI. Needed to have an idea on how to remove the injectors
Hope it helped! I am going e85 soon also!
Hey! Do you have a Instagram or something I can ask a question about a plug on my 2017 STI? Doing the same exact task you guys are just can’t find where this one plug goes
Yes mine it Jotajota_STI but @wrxpertsautoworks would be able to answer your question.
any idea how to get input shaft back in auto trans tia
I do not but WRXperts does you can reach out to them on Instagram or Facebook
Bossman juan
He knows it all!
I moved this just in 8 mins! Rlly easy if u remember the steps
Hey guys, I'm local in South FL. My '05 Outback XT has a mysterious slight overheating problem, never goes to redline, but it does overheat after 20 minutes of driving. I have replaced the thermostat, the radiator, the Coolant Temp Sensor, the coolant itself. It's got no coolant leaks, fans work ok, no apparent blown/leaking H/Gs. I don't know what else to do. Do you guys have any idea what could be going on?
Uhhh I'm not gonna lie with you I've heard when overheating happens it's sometimes due to the headgaskets going out. the irony in me saying that is real. and i own a blobeye wrx btw. Though in all honesty im no mechanic it's just something I've heard in the past so maybe get that checked out?
Daunting to say the least
Watched this video and another video produced by Smeedia. I have a good mechanical background but I am not a professional automotive mechanic (Plumber). Took me a total of 5 hours to remove and reinstall.
Yea lol
Awesome that is pretty good.
I know these things take time to shoot and edit, for that thanks. However, you need to understand, if you don't "dwell" for a certain amount of time on a given subject your viewer just gives up. Slow down with the camera.
Cut. Print. Dumb
Que?
@@JotaJotaSTI Taco y burritos. Alrighty? Cool
If only we could see anything..
