That was outstanding. The narration was absolutely perfect. You guys put a lot of time, research, and effort into this and it definitely shows. It’s not often that you can do Oshkosh justice without actually being there to experience it yourself but you guys came pretty close and painted a pretty good picture. Great job to all involved in putting this together.

I've attended EAA2005 and 2005 as photographer for an Italian aviation magazine. I miss the EAA atmosphere, thank you for bringing my memories back 🧡 I'll be back, sooner or later 😍
I got to go there, and went in a full B17 ride for about a half hour..Man, what an aircraft. Its not only my favorite plane but it was insane to get to finally see it in person, let alone FLY in it. Love what you guys do
I live about a 50 second drive from south gate, and usually it gets a bit much hearing the sky exploding for 2 weeks straight lol . But when the airport didn't fill up in 2020 it was wonderful hearing it again last year. Hopefully you all and more make it again this year.
I would love to take my 1967 O-2A Skymaster to Air Venture. With Covid on the outs I hope to get some donations to aid in the restoration. She hasn’t flown since 1978 and can’t wait to get her airborne for the first time.
The O-2 is not the Birdog, instead, it's the USAF version of the Cessna Model-337 Super Skymaster twin. The Post 1962 Designation for the Birdog is O-1.
Correct - this is something that was pointed out as the review stage and I re-recorded it, but managed to say the wrong number a second time and didn't notice. Ditto with the Hurricane (which is a Mk.12) - it was written in Roman numerals and I misread the X as a V. The script itself is usually accurate, but inevitably in 45 minutes of real-time recording, comprising approx. 5,000 words, a few words here and there get misread, misunderstood or mentally replaced with something else, and the incorrect version slips through without anybody noticing. There are 5 little errors in here to my knowledge (one was accurate at the time of recording but not by publication) but nothing I can do about it now.
15:23 One funny anecdote of the Doolittle Raid, is that when questioned by the press were from the B-25s took off, a American official sarcastically said "from Shangri-La". A couple years later, a aircraft carrier from the USN fleet was then named USS Shangri-La.
I hope i am correctly remembering that the U2 in this video is very rare. As it is the only one in the world, with a dual cockpit! I seem to remember reading this when i see it at last Sculthorpe airshow at Sculthorpe airbase in the UK. Sculthorpe airbase is still known as an active airbase, but is totally decommissioned. Its only 2 miles from my home. Fakenham. Norfolk. UK.
we made a plane in shop class in 71 with a karman ghia engine. engine class made the engine body shop made the body. oscar spear was a WW2 pilot, and our teacher. he loved the little VWs. Crashed and burned on the way back to long lsland.
I do like to make a correction to the Jet Waco that you've mentioned. John Klatt who debuted the act no longer flies it. He sold it to Dell Coller who currently flies it as seen in this video.
Appreciate it! The BO-105 wasn't in the compilation just because it does pretty much the same thing every year. We'd love to see some more helos on display in Oshkosh though!
Sooo Justin Lewis and his plane aren’t based far from me at all. That being said his son or one of his nephews or something like that went to the same summer camp as my brother. Needless to say when we went to pick up my brother… I got to meet Justin Lewis. Just something cool I remembered.
The P-38 is bigger than you would expect. I finally got to stand under it & touch it while at Oshkosh last summer. Very emotional for me because my dad flew them, was shot down over Romania on his 16th mission, was a POW for 4 months. Have wanted to see one in the air for years. Finally got to!
Where you not forgetting telling about the black and white stripes on the WW2 planes? And the description of the U2 were next to incorrect as one was shot down over Russia prompting the development of the far superior successor, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. What else is wrong?

I absolutely HATE those fake converted "Japanese" aircraft. They should not display them at air shows. I wish they had all been demolished after the TTT film. So many people actually believe they have seen a Zero.
21:37...the fuck you say? It was what, 4mph slower than a late war Mustang? and oh, it had far fewer losses in Korea? Oh my goodness, and oh, it also had the last prop on prop kills when a Honduran Corsair busted three Salvadorian prop fighters, Corsairs and Mustangs, making Fernando Soto the last pilot to kill a prop plane whilst flying a prop plane. Let's not forget that Mustang also had the lowest kill ratio of any US plane in the theater, lower than P-38, lower than Jug, just 1`:0 better than a P-40. I have also read a quote from a Luftwaffe pilot who said of all of the US planes he disrespected the Mustang the most. The plane was a success only because the Luftwaffe was dead by the time it came out in large numbers. Is there merit to the fact that it killed a lot because it could escort bombers to and from the targets? Yep, but Jug did a lot better, numbers, kill ratio, survivability. You decide.

Absolutely stunning and well presented video. Kudos and good job to everyone involved, this was definitely worth it.
I live in oshkosh and it's always cool seeing visitors come from all over and they even stay in some of the dorms on my campus.
I want to go next year so bad. Its an expensive trip, though.

An outstanding selection of aircraft with excellent narration.
I love the special operations command in the A. 10s they are very cool
Hey, thank you for putting all of this together for us; I know from 'sperience how difficult it can be. It's a lot of work. Kudos.
I’m bringing some of my closest friends this years cause they’ve been to a show like this before
Didn't expect to be so impressed witht the narration.
i am a member with EAA and they do a whole lot of cool things
Awesome video. Thanks so much.
Yes!! I enjoyed this!! I want to go to EAA AirVenture 2022!
I always like watching the P-51 Mustang fly. It looks like a hot rod.
well hot rods look like the war birds of ww2 pilots were thrill seekers and started hot rodding
Great video ! Your narration and editing are amazing and it felt like I was there !! Great stuff !
That little bird at 9:30 is MOVING.
This is incredibly well done!
So much information and yet you still kept the cool engine souds. Great stuff!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!
Kudos to amazing narration.

Wow. One day.... just one day I’ll be there
Aww man I just realized how much I missed.. the WWII recreations looked soo cool but I only saw the Pearl Harbor reenactment
A cool fact about the Viper F-16, before it got that awesome paint job, my cousin flew it. Callsign "Flint"
Well done! Some day I'll go to Oshkosh.

Too bad that last running real Zero wasn't there, that Sakae 30 engine sounds so cool

I'm so pissed i wasn't able to make it last year to Oshkosh, especially with all the aircraft i haven't seen fly in person.
@ 5:50 , the Globemaster took off. Is it possible or powerful enough to scrape its backside on the runway during takeoff?
Spare us the comment "horrors of war", we're wanting to see and hear awesome military aircraft blowing stuff up while doing super speedy flybys.
the corsair probably the most aggressive combat aircraft I've ever seen it looks like trouble

I was there for one day and got to see a TON of cool things but I never realized how much I missed the other days I wasn't there.
No helicopters? Come on, I even saw the BO 105 sitting there in so many of the shots!
We have video of it too - including a cockpit cam! ua-cam.com/video/M5wEmV00Ji0/v-deo.html
@@AirshowStuffVideos Hey, great, thank you! Also I should have said that the compilation that you put together was very impressive.

That aircraft is not a Mark-7 Hurricane, because there is no such variant at all. Instead, it's a Mark-2C(Trop).

There were 10 German bombers in the air…
And the RAF of England shot one down
I understand that this is a US airshow, but not a single word about USSR in WW2 section...Seems weird.
Do you think that the USSR sold its surplus fighters to Capitalist Pigs like flew here?
IS Oshkosh a thing or a place ?
Oshkosh is a city, but to many people it is also synonymous with the event itself
Are you videos copyrighted airshowstuff ?
Yes
What is this mid video session of shitting all over the F4U Corsair lolol 😂😂 like wtf?!
