At present there are only nine original Me-262s left, all of them in museums, and only one is working (the one in the Flying Heritage Collection, in Everett, USA, which is in the process of being restored so that it can return to fly with its original Jumo 004 engines). In addition, two Avia S-92 (the Czechoslovakian version) are preserved in a museum in the Czech Republic. However, it is still possible to see some Me-262s fly, as the American company Texas Airplane Factory has built five replicas of the Me-262 in the last 20 years, and at least three of them are in airworthy, although not with Jumo 004 engines, but with General Electric CJ610 turbojets. One of those replicas is a Me 262B-1c (the W.Nr.501244, D-IMTT), which is owned by the Messerschmitt Foundation, created in 1969 by Willy Messerschmitt, the designer of the Me- 262 and the even more famous Bf-109. Hopefully the one in Everett, USA will be airworthy by 2028 (That is the goal) .
It would be great if the original could fly again, but maybe not wise to use the original engines as they are reportedly extremely unreliable - very brave men flew these jets in WWII
@@airshowvision Billionaire Paul Allen spared no expense in many of his restorations for his museum. The Jumo engines for his Me-262 were overhauled in California for short display flights, and with some new-manufactured material. His passing and closing of the museum had slowed down many interesting projects like the Me-262 and Stuka. Another wealthy investor has reopened the museum recently.
@@2wheels2strokes4ever Here is Paul Allen's Me-262 making a few brake and taxi tests before his museum closed. ua-cam.com/video/FPazuFQZE3o/v-deo.html There is no announcement from the new owners about resuming any work just yet. The Jumo engines do sound more like a military-rated turbine.

They use the designation EAV-8B Matador. They look different to the UK gr9 because they use the radome of the USMC Harriers that was never installed on RAF variants
@@sambonfield3188 i see three design flaws with the typhoon. - low wings means small bombs - canards are placed such a way, you might loose the sight. - the two air intake are too close one from each other. What an absolute legendary aircraft.
Great footage of the RIAT arrivals & take offs! Thumbs up! 👍😊👍

Awesome
The Harier may be old by today's standards but as a 14 Yr old and even today almost 50 years later she is still a marvel.
Give me that as an airshow tool any day over the uncharismatic F-35.
Rafale pilots' necks must have Lvl5000000000000000000 armour the Gs they must be pulling is insane
Thank God the French Air Force allow them to do it - although I understand they are now limited to +9G and -4G which is less than previously.
