    When I was in college . My crush used to avoid me. She knew I loved her. But treated me like a ✋ extra.
    Later when I joined surgery.
    She wanted to spend time with me and be closer.
    She even mocked my relationship with a fellow anesthesiologist who was fat. And fatshamed her.
    I can't say bad to her but i lost my love for her. Fast forward.
    The cute chubby girl became my wife and was not so chubby anymore. I told her to loose weight not for I was embarrassed but for health reasons.

Then that girl sent me a message and then i ignored her but unfortunately bro hypergamy are all women even the anesthesiologist woman probably she would have avoided you if she had known you earlier when you had not succeeded.

    Women are pickier about what goes into them. Men are less picky about who they go into. Women also are attracted to different types of men at different stages in their cycle. And a lot of the times it's exact opposite the type of men they are attracted to based off their cycle. To make a statement about what women want is reaching. To to that study you can't just ask women. There are multiple categories that need to be taken into consideration. To make a broad educated guess I can't imagine it being semi reliable. Culture, age, upbringing, environment, time of the month, stage of reproductive cycles, if they have children, previous married.

    Women have to think about what would happen if she had children with any particular man she's dating and will possibly marry. Would he be able and willing to properly provide for the family or would she have to continue working a job and leave her baby with daycare workers. I had to work when my kids were little because I was young and clueless and married a dusty man, and I can tell you that if I had to do it all over again, the better choice for my children's well-being would have been to be hypergamous and stay home with them and watch over them myself. Daycare workers don't love your kid like you do.

      @@littlenugget293 Sorry, but that's an excuse. My daughter married an initally dusty man who made money as a street-busking musician/singer. When it came time to consider having a baby, he came up with a plan. He went back to school to get his masters to be a licensed clinical social worker. He found work right away with the VA. After a couple of years, he applied for an overseas position as a civilian LCSW working at an Air Force base in Japan. After dealing with red tape, he got the job and relocated to Japan . He took his family there and has steadily worked and also taken continuing education courses and seminars and has increased his salary. He is more than able to support his family on his salary alone. A second baby is on the way. They are out exploring Japan together almost every weekend.
      Where there is a will, there is a way. If a male isn't man enough to get out there and do whatever he needs to do to support his family without his wife having to work and not be able to stay home with the children, it's my opinion that he isn't ready to father any children. He's got to make it happen with no excuses. Desperate women who just want a male, any male, are also not ready to bring a child into such uncertain circumstances. Imho it's not fair to the child. This is all only possible if both are willing to live within the means of the husband's income.

    "Women tend to date men about 4 years older than them." That's very true as the most common age gaps in American marriages are 0-3 years and then 3-5 years with the women being younger. These manosphere channels tell men that if they improve their money in their late 30's and early 40's they can pull women 10-20 years younger than them in their early and mid 20's. But in reality those women are dating men around their own age. They only date much older men if they are extremely wealthy not just average earning.

    • @JT-rx1eo
      @JT-rx1eo 2 місяці тому

      But lots of very rich guys can and often do date younger women. Most men aren't rich, but a high percentage of the ones who are older, and most women can't attract a rich man for a committed LTR. Hence most cases are women and men nearly the same age.

    Or simply they are just afraid of strange men. You underestimate the fear of strangers in women. When I was on dating sites I rarely swiped right. Maybe one person per month or I forget to logon at all because too many swipe lefts when I did. And the reason was I wanted profiles that gave me a safe vibe/felt right. Some ppl were too old, some ppl had opposite beliefs to me, some ppl had abbreviated profiles so I cldnt get enough info about them to judge, some ppl had scary or rude tones in their profile or offensive pictures and saying etc It wasn’t about hypergamy but i safety in my case. Like it’s scary to communicate with someone who says if you are a ho move along. Like there is anybody who calls themselves a ho. It’s a insult from a third party not something someone calls themselves. So that tells me you are someone I want nothing to do with or I don’t feel safe around. Or you have many muscle pics and nothing else no bio no nothing, creepy. Or just pics and very high amounts of money, no other context or voice behind all that. Or you call yrself atheist, that’s just not my thing. Or you smoke or you say I am “very traditional” that makes me think you want to act out 1950s with me which isn’t my thing etc.
    Point being the swipes or lack thereof may not be what you assume but many reasons like how safe does the person seem. Or is he worth risking meeting a stranger if we are opposites.

      @@tanyamilewski5700 Yes, I get what you’re saying but i think it still all ties into hypergamy itself because a woman is still looking for those “superior” traits which signal to her if the guy is good enough to be dated and it will also be through the way he communicates through his profile. So in this case women are checking if the guy is a weirdo or not, they might be rich or look rich but they also have to pass the “is he socially adept?“ criteria which is also part of the hypergamy process so I think it’s included rather than separate.

    • @tanyamilewski5700
      @tanyamilewski5700 Рік тому +5

      My point is the degree hypergamy contributes maybe smaller than what is being suggested or what is believed. So it may mislead men as to why only a few get swiped Eg I am not good enough rather than I present as rude. Had you changed a few things on profile Eg removing scary pics or language you wld get a swipe, rather than making more money or some other hierarchy.
      I think hypergamy is more relevant when a man wants to dominate a woman cz you have to convince you are dominant or earn it. You can’t be less dominant than me but expect to dominate me just because you are owed dominance. for example you can’t be less rich or less successful and expect to tell me what to do all the time Eg what to do with my money or career. Why shd I stop what I was doing which was working and start listening to you just because you are a man? Why not take your own advise first and show the results of that advise. I think online dating is different from that

    • @WYJAFAK2
      @WYJAFAK2 Рік тому +6

      @@tanyamilewski5700 I get where you are coming from in saying that you think hypergamy is perhaps a lesser degree to what is actually being suggested and it is in fact women looking to be safe because mens online profiles may make them seem creepy or dangerous.
      However what I’m saying is that, these two things aren’t separate like you are saying, they are still under “hypergamy” because hypergamy isn’t just about looking for the rich successful guy, it’s got other factors as well such as seeing his social status, and if a guy looks scary or creepy then it is a woman’s hypergamy that is making her think that this guy looks like a creep therefore people probably don’t like him or he could not be good for my safety. Basically it doesn’t look like a safe bet to go out with him. Women are always wired to look for the best for them and their offspring and the safety thing you’re talking about still fits under hypergamy. It’s not a separate thing.

    Even Pederson can sometimes be a bit sloppy in the definition of hypergamy. The 4% swipe rate is an illustration of the mating selectivity of women, a large part of which is due to hypergamy. But there is a distinction. JP knows what hypergamy is. But it is not best illustrated by the 4% swipe rate. There are more than 4% of those men who are of equal or higher socioeconomic status than those mostly average women.
