Thanks for a really interesting string review. I used to use a full bed of Lynx Tour. Liked it for the same reasons as Kent. Then I discovered Hawk Power, which I loved as it gave more control on big swings. Definitely going to try this combo in my 2024 Speed Pro. I've recently become a bit of a low tension guy, so I'd probably get it strung at 48lbs mains & crosses.
Great review, as usual! Lynx tour is my favorite poly, but of late I have been having slight arm issues, so was skeptical of full bed. I use Vcore 100 and tried Lynx Tour in mains and Isospeed Cream in crosses. This worked well for me, but I feel Cream is a little unpredictable after a few hitting sessions. Maybe its become dead, who knows!! I'll try out next time with Hawk Power in the crosses. BTW, what is the gauge you used, 17?
I have used this combo and found that it wears remarkably little, with the Hawk Power crosses eventually breaking (with no thinning/notching to speak of on either string). The feel was very nice, but produced an unforgiving outer stringbed at my level (4.0-ish). I have switched to Lynx Touch crosses with significantly more playable results, especially off-center, if not the same great feel. All strung between 46 and 48lbs.
I don't particularly care for Lynx Touch or Hawk Touch so I'm not planning to try those as a hybrid cross but I would imagine it would make the stringbed softer and more muted.
This was the WORST poly/poly hybrid I have ever tried. The stringsjust do not slide well against each other. Hawk Power as a full bed is severely lacking in spin, and pairing it with a shaped string that digs into it makes things even worse.
Great content!! I tried both string individually and really liked them. Now I'll try to hybrid them too!

Thanks for this review Kent. I play with a full bed of hawk power and was curious about a hybrid. Will give it a go!
Thanks for the video, great hybrid idea! I personally think the grey and champagne are the most crisp feeling, orange feels a little more muted to me.
I was curious about this combo. Thanks for reviewing
Really interesting hybrid

Yes I used 17g 125mm

Hi mate, thanks for the review. I was wondering if you could compare lynx tour/hawk power hybrid to lynx tour/lynx touch and lynx tour/hawk touch.

Orange has more pop....try msv hex ultra yellow as mains for half the price...put msv co ultra round as cross
Why do they all it 'champagne'? It's beige! 😄
That is the color Head calls it.

What’s the winning formula then ?
