Big fan of the Restring Sync 1.20 which i had strung from you ✔️👌
O Toro plays awesome in mains of Speed MP and Extreme MP.
I cross with Caviar for nice blend that offers comfort, spin and power!
Zero offers more power but feels a bit harsher on the arm hence why I would rank it #2 behind O Toro.
Both offer good longevity and great snapback. Cheers
how does restring offer more power? I'm just lost with this. i swing out and i absolutely don't feel that power, the string bottoms out when going hard and far less power then tour bite. I must be doing something wrong i tried the 1.20, and tour bite, alpha grapple snake and hyper g and confidential all felt more powerful "Swinging out". Medium pace yes its powerful but maybe i should go higher gauge to stop the string from bottoming out. 52LBS last used AERO 100
Volkl cyclone - best for spin, control, durability and cost- I pay £4.72 for 12 m length.
Really enjoy your content gents. Thank you.
Interesting that you’re trying Grapplesnake out. I did, after trying all the strings on your list, and ended up trying to choose between Tour m8 and Alpha. In the end, went for the extra pocketing and spin of Alpha. Really lovely string and I’ve found Paul, who owns Grapplesnake UK, to be unbelievably helpful. Will be interesting to see your take on them.
The complete lack of feel from Zero really put me off.
Head Lynx Tour champagne 👍
@bsinghgill my current favourite. Plays very well at low tensions, like 45lbs or lower
I’m a huge fan of Head Lynx Tour Orange!
I accidentally ended up with a full bed of Zero in my 2024 Head Speed Pro (18/20 string bed). Confusion between me and the stringer. 1.23 gauge, 48lbs mains & crosses. I expected it to be over-powered and lacking control. I'd also seen people online say putting a heavily shaped string in a tight 18/20 is a bad idea. But after 20 minutes or so, I was in tennis heaven. I could hit out full power on forehands and backhands from the baseline with no fear of hitting long.
There was very good feel on heavy strikes, volleys and touch shots (not what I expected). The spin was absolutely bonkers for a 18/20 racquet. Before I adjusted my swing, I was landing a lot of baseline shots on the service line, although with a lot of weight. It took a bit of adjustment to hit full length, but soon got the hang of it. I started laughing on court, as the strings made me feel like a much more talented player - felt like I could put the ball wherever I wanted, with a lot of power. Definitely the most fun I've had on court and the best I've played by far. Strangely, my opponent didn't think it was funny.
I've got a full bed of Sync 1.25 now (original intention) but have only played light mixed doubles, with no heavy hitting, so can't say much yet. Maybe a tad more feel of the ball on the strings and surprising spin for a round string, even on slow swings.
Would you say the control frame and string pattern of the head speed pro offset the power and lack of control of the restring zero?
Very possibly the case
@@V4zilious1 Hi - I honestly don't know. But, given what reviewers have said, I'm tempted to think that Zero does behave differently in a control oriented 18/20 racquet. I've never had more control with any racquet & string combo than I did with this.
@@PH-Tennis Hi. I played for a couple of hours with the full bed of Sync and my thinking has changed. I probably had it strung too loose at 46 & 43 lbs and the launch angle is crazy for an 18/20 string bed. But I couldn't find any consistency or confidence. I'm tempted to try Sync again at 48-48lbs, but my heart wants to try Zero again. In my racquet and my Neanderthal hands, I feel like I'm getting more feel, consistency and confidence from a full bed of Zero. Feel free to shoot me if it's a strange thing to say!
@@davech07 I would definitely be interested in hearing your results again. My current racket is a Speed MP but I also have a Percept 97H that I like to hit with for fun. If your findings seem to be true, I would string my 97H with Zero instead of wasabi just to keep everything simple
Luxilon Alu power rough, is still a brilliant string especially in a hybrid set up
Razer Soft and 4G soft are my personal favourites , Hyper G and Confidential are good also. Sync I’ve used but the Jury is still out ..
You should try pure rush ❤
Local London stringer, pt strike also surprised me, my mates percept came strung with that I hit with definitely stands out from all other yonex strings. Don't really get zero though, definitely not enough control for a poli and there r much better spin strings. What also stood out for me this year is tru pro pure rush bit like zero soft, definitely more spin and more comfort also a bit too lively like zerO...
Love sync and zero, hybrids great as well. Was surprised how much control along with power/spin that zero has in a full bed. Tried to hybrid with toro toro and it was a launchy uncontrollable muted mess.
Gonna try otoro but have a feeling I wont like it.
⚡️❗️you missed the KIRSCHBAUM FLASH 1.25 one of the new Generation strings made in Germany ! POWER! SPIN & Feeling is EPIC ❗️⚠️ especially on a Babolat pure drive it is a Hammer from THOR ⚡️👍😉👏 Magic 🙂🤟 Best regards from Austria Vienna and happy new year!
Thanks for the tip! We'll get some in!
@@PH-Tennis please try
4G soft is expensive, but a great string.
Rpm blast is brilliant for about 2 hours. After that it falls off a cliff and i end up hating it after 4-5 hours
Yup. Can't disagree!
what is the string most similar to RPM blast and longer lasting? thanks
@silverporsche81 I used to use tecnifibre code black 4s which is shaped. Very good but also expensive like rpm blast. Lasts a lot longer though. I currently use head lynx tour. Not as good as rpm blast when it's brand new but close. Definitely after 3 hours it's playing better than rpm blast at 3 hours. Also a lot cheaper
Yep! Tried a friends racket strung with rpm blast and it felt so good I went and got it done in my own racket, literally lasted 1 session after that no feel or bite on the ball what so ever, everything sailing long. Now running lynx tour and it’s great so far after 8 hours!
I like yonex poly also luxilon
Yonex poly tour pro!
I keep coming back to Toalson Devil Spin 120
TOALSON Laser 1,25
We'll give it a try! Thanks
I just bought the new Ezone and I am using Tour M8. Love it but now with the new stick, it’s too soft and not crisp enough for the racket profile. Suggestions for the 98 Ezone V8? Zero, Lynx Tour, Strike, Sync? Thank you.
Polytour strike would help crisp it up for sure!
@ Thank you
Nice vid. Where would you rank Hyper G?
Amazing value string as it's almost half the price of some. It's been in our 'Honourable Mentions' a few times before
I have a full bed of Otoro on my aero 100 and i do like it. How do you think the change to restring zero will be?
Not too dissimilar. Likely to get some more power with Zero
What’s best for spin and comfort
Which strings would you recommend for a Babolat Pure Aero 98'?
Hi, where would you position Black code 4S? and you mentioned RPM blast....which ones are the new strings that offer more spin? Thanks
Outside the Top is all I can say for Black Code 4S! O-Toro, ReString Zero, Grapplesnake Game Changer all great for spin
Do you guys all use Zero as a full bed or do you hybrid it at all? I currently have it as a hybrid setup in my Radical with Wasabi X in the cross. Just curious.
Yes used it both as a full bed and as a blend as you describe.
Think it massively depends on the racket profile and your game! Can imagine it’s very nice with Wasabi X (very similar to Sync)
5 - Luxilon 4G Soft 1.25 (gold)
4 - Restring Sync
3 - Yonex Poly Tour Strike
2 - Toroline O-Toro
1 - Restring Zero
Looking for the ultimate in spin
Try Toroline O-Toro or Grapplesnake Game Changer
Yonex Poly Tour Drive Soft?
Is the head speed mp legend exactly the Same as the Black White? Ist rhe was of play the Same?
Yes
Yup
This should be top 5 of 2024, not 2025 ... as it has not even started :))
Why is it that when i tried string zero, when i hit hard 80% power, the string power bottomed out. This was in a pure aero for information at 52 lbs. 1.20. I swapped it with another control string after that, it was a soft grapple snake? been awhile sorry and the power went way up. I also tried tour bite and swing out the string blasted the ball through the court.
Now, on medium and low power shots the power was higher then the above so it was great for touch. Not great excellent. But the power problem is a real issue when swinging out to end points. If im just lazy and use 50-60% power the string is fine, but i like racket head speed and hit flat sometimes. What am i doing wrong here because im always told how much power it has but not seeing it. To me swinging out its has less power then confidential
Love the insight, thank you. Unfortunately, very difficult to make an assessment without seeing you play. Feel free to send a video in!
Hi best for head speed mp2024?thanks
Ben loves O-Toro in his Speed MP so maybe start there!
@@PH-Tennisthanks!!
Do you guys prefer Zero with Sync crosses, or do you prefer full bed of Zero? For reference, Blade v9 racket.
Depends which string you want to feel more of. Whichever you put in the Mains will usually be the dominant one
Sorry not sure I got my question across when you guys are using Zero are you full bed of Zero, or are you using Zero in a hybrid with Sync or something else?)?
full bed zero. the blade already has amazing control. no need to add more control
Restring Zero is too expensive in the UK. £12 a packet or £150 a reel. Poly doesn't last long enough to justify the price. The best poly is a fresh poly. Lynx Tour or Volkl Cyclone are much better value. Some decent string is even cheaper than that. Buy a dropweight machine and restring an affordable poly every few hours of play per frame.
Tbf, restring does last a lot longer than others.
Is it pronounced Tour “M 8” or Tour “Mate”. Always curious about that.
We don't know!
lol out of all the strings you “supposedly” tested restring sync?? In a full bed? 😂😂 Now I know this is a paid promotion as Sync is a great cross but not as a full bed..So many other strings offer a lot more..
Not paid. Ever. Thanks for the comment though!
Talk to much get t to point
Thanks for the tup. Try 2x speed?
