Loved this. I have to admit my plate presentation not that great. Something I have been thinking about doing better. This was a great tip. I like the idea of giving the customer a great value and upping the appearance of what is being served can make the experience better. Even if it's just bbq, not fine dining. I like adding flowers from nasturtiums to add a little color and pepper flavor to a dish. Most folks where I live don't realize they are edible and the added pepper flavor puts smiles on their faces. So presentation tips will ALWAYS be welcome. Have a great day.😃👍🌤

Ya, we definitely do not confuse spring onions with shallots in the USA. I think what you're thinking of are spring onions vs green onions vs scallions. Those get mixed up here all the damn time.

    Greetings from California Chef.
We call them scallions, not shallots.
I know that it comes from a Greek word, askolónion. I am not sure how it found it's way into American English which often butchers borrowed words.
They are also called spring onions in some places.
I promise that if you come to my place and ask for 500 g. of shallots that you will get something purple!
Don't mind the avatar, my other guitars are very old Sabatier.

      Hi Sean
      Thanks
I know this video causes some confusion in terms of names …….😖
Anyway ….. just learned something myself regards the Greek naming
      Thanks for that
It’s an older video and I think I might do a second version where I clarify the naming better
Anyway have a nice day and if you have time check out my newer videos as I think they are much better than the older ones😉
      All the best
