Kyle and Andy's sibling bond is truly wholesome, I love how she's the only person who understands his trauma and goes full on big sister mode protecting him from Chucky.
22:00 It's not that he wants to be a kid again, it's because Andy is the only one it can be. Remember in the first one when they said that he can only transfer is soul to first person he told his secret.
@@TheMarvelousM IIRC it's because he was full on recreated via his blood in the plastic. It doesn't make much sense but I think they intended that to "reset" the "first shown to" thing. So then Tyler becomes the target vessel. But also Don Mancini wanted to do multiple Chucky dolls in 3 but it didn't pan out. Because logically his blood in the plastic would lead to multiple copies of Chucky. Which we later did get in Cult and the Chucky TV show.
@TheMarvelousM Chucky mentions that. He says that he's got a new body, so that means he hadn't told anyone about his secret yet. I always thought that was a lame excuse, but that's the one they used.
Definitely one of my favorite sequels ever made. That scene where Chucky gets the hot wax on him, gave me nightmares as a little kid. Didn't help that my dad owed a Good-guy version of him 😅
I can still remember being a kid and this movie being on tv and being HORRIFIED when the mom spins around dead and the sewing machine going off. Her face burned into my memory 😂
Chucky from the Rugrats. The first time i knew about Child's Play. Plus, I always thought it was Chuckie from the Rugrats was scary or always scared. 😅
I don't know if someone else already commented this but the reason why Chucky keeps going after Andy is because Andy was the first to see Chucky alive. (They talk about this in the first movie when Chucky was talking to that voodoo guy).
This is the very movie, that gave me nightmares!!!!! 23:04 is the scene that got me scared of Chucky for years and i had a deeper respect for my toys 😂😂😂 Fun facts on this nightmare fueled movie lol: • The movie paid homage to the Rugrats when Chucky takes on the name of the other good guy doll “Tommie” the two main stars of Rugrats which premiered a year after this movie. • Andy's jacket in the finale was the same outfit Miko Hughes wore in Kindergarten Cop. Adam Wylie was in both movies that were made by Universal Studios. • Beth Grant was hesitant to accept the role of Andy's strict, ill-fated teacher, Miss Kettlewell. Although Grant liked the script, she was intimidated about doing a horror film. She called her friend, actress Dinah Manoff (Maggie, in Child's Play (1988)), asking for advice. Manoff replied: "Well, if you see Child's Play, you'll find that *I'm* in it." Grant took her attitude as a good omen, and signed on. • Phil's death was achieved with a classic film trick called "The Reverse Pull". Essentially, actor Gerrit Graham would begin the shot already in his death position, then be pulled upwards out of frame by a rope tied around him. The footage was then played backwards, creating the uncanny illusion of his neck breaking. • Despite Phil being portrayed to be a unlikable character who strung the audience along during his screen time in the theatrical cut, unused deleted scenes of the movie that were used for the television cut portrayed him more sympathetically, that would've allowed audiences to feel sorry for him when Chucky killed him. • The original movie's ending revealed that Chucky peice of head and eye had landed in the vat of molten plastic following Chucky's death. The hunk of flesh would be sucked down into the depths of plastic where it's carried through the pipes to a molding mechanism. In a burst of steam, the mechanism revealed a bald and eyeless Good Guy head that grins. It's unknown why it was cut out of the finished product. It's possible that the movie would end on a happy note as Don Mancini mentioned in a interview that he wanted audiences to walk out of the theaters, questioning "How would they ever bring Chucky back this time?" This ending would be somewhat reused for the opening of Child's Play 3. • Joanne's treasured figurine that Chucky destroys resembles a midwife tending an infant, Joanne's actress Jenny Agutter would later appear in the BBC show, Call the Midwife.
In the teachers defense for not running away, she might have sustained more damage then we realize. I think they were going for a scaled down version of a CO2 knife which is very gruesome.
2:08 Why are they rebuilding this husk of burnt doll ? And secondly, someone explain why there was a lightning ⚡ shock from the doll, through the machine that killed guy instantly?
@@vesbarrow Do you really think that as a Star Trek fan I don't know this? “Qalaxy Quest” is also considered one of the best “Star Trek” films among Star Trek fans. ✌️
Anyone ever notice in horror movies when someone is facing away from the person, and they are obviously dead they are always in some type of swivel chair so they can be turned around to show us how they died? LOL
I JUST realized this watching this reaction, who the hell did chucky tie that mans hands behind his back after they parked when chucky still has the toy gun to his head? LOL
The reason Chucky is so obsessed with Andy, is partly revenge for the events of the first one and partly because according to the Voodoo Guy in the first one, the only human body he can get into is Andy’s as Andy was the first human he ever revealed himself to.
Yes please watch them all! The Childs Play/Chucky franchise is one of best horror movie franchises ever. Every movie is a banger and the TV show is excellent! (Except the remake, its not part of the franchise and I will never acknowledge it as such!)
hey mellow thanks for react to Childs Play 2 Andy is a great child actor i enjoyed watching it thou i always want a good guy doll when i was a kid just to have something to play with
If I'm being honest. Out of all of Chucky's victims in Child's Play 2, The only one's that deserved it was Phil and Mrs. Kettlewell. That's what they get both for not believing Andy about Chucky, And for how they treated him in general. Hell I'd even go as far as to say that Chucky was accidentally doing Andy a favor by killing off Phil and Mrs. Kettlewell.
I mean, we barely knew the teacher she got like 2 minutes of screen time. She was kinda mean, but I think saying she deserved to die is kinda petty, lol. But i have to say phil had it coming he never liked andy or believed him when he mentioned chucky he seemed selfish and was kinda bossy.
Honestly after all the movies and seasons, I'd love to see a project where people actually figure it out world wide. Like there has to be some fictional sub reddit or forum in the Chucky universe that's smart enough to connect the dots. That at all these crazy deaths is this doll. Even if people in universe didn't quite come to the conclusion that it's alive, they would come to the conclusion that it's cursed. Like the hope diamond or w/e. And honestly Chucky is pretty much a cursed object. By the general understanding of cursed things. Someone dies with object>Object now cursed.
Even if the Foster parents didn’t believe him about Chucky, seeing how scared he is of Chucky/Tommy dolls, the right thing to do would be to get rid of it. Even if the doll wasn’t possessed, and still scared him, they definitely should have tossed it. That’s where the core issue started. Kyle (the girl) should of definitely tried to get rid of it, even if she like chucked it somewhere.
I don't know if you knew this or if it was ever mentioned in the comments, but Chucky does have the strength of a grown man thanks to the voodoo magic. Hence, why people always struggle when he jumps on them.
I keep forgetting that whenever they react to horror movies from 19s to 2024 they say why is this so stupid, why aren't they attacking the killer instead of having the killer attacking them, why aren't you movie out the way
I had to catch up to the last movie reaction. Now I can say you should check out the Chucky series. I just watched all 3 season since they're short and it picks up right after the last film. The creator wants to make another movie for the fans since they canceled it. The film series get crazier and campier as if goes on but I have to give it to them that the kills get really creative. The trama Andy has after all this is epic. Also, "throw him in the trash" is the dumb thing these people will never do.
