@@sabihanaz7277 Of course you’re happy there, now that you’ve forced all non-Muslims out. But we still think about Sindh as the land of our ancestors … an integral part of our shared history and civilization. And yours too except you’ve been indoctrinated to believe that civilization began after Muhammad bin Qasim arrived with his tribal army on camels and donkeys and enslaved your people. And you choose to believe it as some sort of gospel truth. That is why we need to mention Pakistan - to call out your fraudulent account of history. Outside of that, you’ve done a pretty good job of ruining your own country… You don’t need India for that.

@@alpha-engineer Your name suggests you are a observer but you doesn't seem to be at all. Of course Sindh is important for you, even it is in your anthem.......(though it shouldn't be now). I know that Sindh had a rich historic and cultural background but I never heard anyone here in Pakistan say about Muhammad Bin Qasim as you are saying. Obviously, the history of Sindh dates back to thousands of years ago and I acknowledge it. But the concept of enslavement.....!?? It's out of my understanding and how are we ruining our country? If sticking to your religion and working day and night for your country with sincere devotion is called ruining........then let us ruin our country! Peace 🙏

In the year 1956 almost near the same date Two Countries took two diametrically opposite decisions regarding language
1.Srilanka with (only 2 major languages) passed an act imposing only sinhalese as the language throughout the country........Then followed the Tamil Sinhalese conflict which burns till today
2.India (with 20 major languages about 10 so big numerically as to be in top 20 languages of the world ) took a surprising decision to Divide/Reorganize the country on linguistic basis. What seemed to many international "experts" as a sure formula for balkanization of India..But lo and behold! the country is now stronger than the sum of its states and is growing stronger by the day .

As a Pakistani, I 100% agree. One of the ways to achieve a progressive Pakistan is to make it tolerant, liberal & secular. Most of Pakistan's earliest leaders held these views. E.g: Ayub Khan, Bhutto & the founding father M. Ali Jinnah himself. Now I know some people here may not agree with all of their policies and acts and I don't either, but that's a separate debate. We're talking about the constitution here and before Zia it was a more liberal, moderate, modern Islam in the days of Ayub Khan & Bhutto. That's when Pakistan's economy progressed faster than India. Field of sciences probably was superior (established our space agency Suparco waayyy before India established theirs). We were better in sports & music as well. But then came Zia ul Haq, who brought Wahhabism from Saudi Arabia/Afghanistan and gave us Kalashinkovs, heroine, mullahs, religious extremism and terrorism. 30 years after his death we're still suffering coz of him

And yet, Proudly Indian, do you realise, that this foundation that contrast Pakistan's was laid by Nehruvian politics? Non-alignment, a mixed economy, stress on infra-structure, land reforms, secularism, women's rights, all go back to those initial decisions. But the BJP is at pains to run down that early direction, while the present Congress is unworthy of honouring that legacy.

Sir, The blunder of blunders happened even before that. It happened when you opted for the '2- Nation theory' and was adamant not to accept independence if this is not accepted. Then you people tried to wash away any damn connection with your Hindustani culture and tried to connect with the Arabs. You had your own "well thought out plans" for doing so, but their culture and the way of living was a way different. The result was - you could not destroy your roots and also, you could not adopt Arabic culture either and therefore a certain distance was always there. Now they are not interested in sharing their wealth in the name of Religion.
Live in the real world and work on the agenda to become self-sufficient. That's the only way.

I admire your clear head Mr. Sethi. I have always detested Non-alignment movement and other policies anchored by Nehru Ji, but you have explained why this was so much needed to a young India. I now understand he was visionary (followed by future leaders) and opted doing things right way. Thanks to all the Indian leaders who promoted Democracy, "unity in diversity" and secularism . This has laid a good foundation which has helped India to grow and develop despite various challenges. I really wish that there are more leaders like you in Pakistan. I hope, both countries live in peace and harmony so that we can transfer our attention to the development and fighting poverty rather than spending billions in fighting each other...

Hamza Mukhtar 8) I would not say an islamic state, but maybe you are right, this was the best clear cut vision Jinnah saab could make, a Turkey kind of state. 3) I agree Indians started the problems, but we should have worked a lot more for peace, it is almost as crazy as north and south korea, to keep problems going for 60-70 years, while the world have moved forward, and we are still dealing with issues from WW2 times. Hopefully a permanent border can be made between India and Pakistan in coming years.

Hamza Mukhtar But is it not COMPLETE UTOPIA to think Pakistan will ever give away Gilgit-Baltistan, which is a part of kashmir. It is our route way to Central Asia and China? only someone complete insane would say yes to such a deal. The best way is to make permanent borders and make peace. Kashmiris must find a way to live in India like all other muslims of India (more then Pakistan) . In my eyes, Kashmir is not more a real issue in Pakistan, we have other more important problems, dealing with taliban, balochistan, karachi etc etc.

I appreciate that there are some people in Pakistan who realise their mistakes.they don't blame others for their hardships.I think that if you had worked for the betterment of yourselves after Independence you didn't need to blame others.you are still not doing ,what you should do.The most important thing you should do is to establish a political govt elected by people and have full faith in it.The elected P.M. should have all the legislative power.military should go to their Barracks.military should not Interfere in govt at all.The elected P.M. is answerable to the parliament as well as people.it is unfortunate to blame the elected govt round the clock and appreciate military blindly.l think that military is only responsible for the present disturbance in Pakistan.

As a Pakistani, I 100% agree. Also I feel we need to get rid of the extremist/conservative elements. They're the least educated and just think because they follow Islam, they can bring Islamic laws and return the country to its former glories.
