I was educated in ICSE Board in India. The history taught to us was raw, more nuanced and with multiple citations throwing light on the same incident from multiple perspectives. Not all incidents are covered in such detail in our textbooks, only some important incidents are. Raja Dahir's story was one such. It was clear to any student reading these multiple narratives about that incident that Bin Qasim is a barbarian who came to destroy a very sophisticated Sindhi civilization. Sindhis both in India and Pakistan, irrespective of their religion, should feel proud of their Hero King who faught till his last breath to defend the dignity of their ancestors and their unique culture. Other education boards in India teach students from only single textbook approved by their board. But ICSE gives out licenses to different reputed publishers to publish textbooks for students. Some people say there are almost 10-15 different publications textbooks for history in ICSE. May be that's why students are exposed to such raw historical facts because there is not much pressure from any higher authority dictating the matter in textbooks.

I was educated in ICSE Board in India. The history taught to us was raw, more nuanced and with multiple citations throwing light on the same incident from multiple perspectives. Not all incidents are covered in such detail in our textbooks, only some important incidents are. Raja Dahir's story was one such. It was clear to any student reading these multiple narratives about that incident that Bin Qasim is a barbarian who came to destroy a very sophisticated Sindhi civilization.
Sindhis both in India and Pakistan, irrespective of their religion, should feel proud of their Hero King who faught till his last breath to defend the dignity of their ancestors and their unique culture.
Other education boards in India teach students from only single textbook approved by their board. But ICSE gives out licenses to different reputed publishers to publish textbooks for students. Some people say there are almost 10-15 different publications textbooks for history in ICSE. May be that's why students are exposed to such raw historical facts because there is not much pressure from any higher authority dictating the matter in textbooks.

Muzamil bhai there's a boy in our university who openly speaks against democracy and is fan of taliban. He is a Punjabi from khaneval and seemed like a very innocent guy.
