Hello everyone reading this, Tyme here.
This whole situation has had a very heavy impact on everybody's lives, and I am sure that everybody is still in shock from this bombshell of a news about someone we all used to look up to and aspire. I, however, implore everyone to detach the individual from their talents, and see David as for what he did, instead of coming to a conclusion based off his talents and successes.
First off, a minor correction to a point Posi has made about me working in Arcadian Rift with V. I did NOT work on Arcadian Rift and it was a mistake made on Posi's end. I, however, worked with Black Plasma Studios as a concept artist on their animation, STARFALL.
Secondly, attached to this comment is my statement on this matter, that includes information about my experiences with David, how my experiences line up with Tori's and additional information that might not have made it into this video otherwise in order not to drag attention from the larger issue at play which is the one concerning what happened with Tori.

Its good to hear from one of the voices from one of my favorite characters as a kid. I was sad to see the Halo game night legacy playlist has now been privated and I can no longer go back to those. It breaks my heart as well sir, as I was about to revisit the Rise of the Spartans youtube to rewatch it. I hope your career's been going well regardless.

I can't believe that the person who got me, and a lot of us, to start using blender did all these messed up things all these years. I genuinely thought he was a chill and clean person and now I don't even know what to say. Guess we'll never know people...

Songs of War still is my favorite Minecraft series. Possibly my favorite UA-cam video. I don't know how to express this exactly, I love the series from the bottom of my heart and soul. It was something truly magical. It was so good that in fact, at one point I even felt bad for myself that the laws of physics in this universe did not allow me to visit the SOW universe. The lighting, the music, the background, the characters, the plot, all of it is magical. SOW is more than a masterpiece. SOW is the definition of perfection itself to me. I was utterly devastated when David decided to cancel the series because he was not motivated enough and he did not make enough money off it.
Despite what David has done, this does not make SOW any less perfect for me. I still hope now that David is gone, BPS might reconsider remaking the series, because fans have already continued the unofficial season 2 and season 3 of SOW. It is still not as good as the original season 1.
I understand. I (as seen by my name), have spent a lot of time liking this show. It’s hard to separate creator from creation.
As you said, I left citing workers rights abuse in the work environment. If my experience and the word that I put out three years ago was any help at all in the process of this, then I will take great pride in that. Thank you for finishing this fight

Was David the main perpetrator here or was it a wider issue? Obviously don't answer if you'd rather not talk about it, but I'm wondering if I should consider checking out what BPS does after they rebrand or if the whole place was messed up and better left ignored.

Thanks for being so open about the issues that were present at BPS Nitrox. I remember being engrossed in the community several years ago when I was much younger, and the original group of animators with you and Eagle were my heroes at the time. All the best with whatever you are doing now.
It's really a disappointment where a person that gives you inspirations to thousands or even millions of people end up being the most hated person instead. Infact, Despicable.

There is nothing of substance here. It's just a bunch of hearsay. There no proof.
All of us at BPS who stay are moving on, so I don’t think I’ll comment on this too much. But I wish the best to victims, Posidon and the crew, the other directors and even the general audience, however anyone has been effected by this.
I hope people stick around after our rebranding, but regardless, I respect if people choose not to. As terrible as this all is, hopeful for the future.

Hello Mont, Ive read some comments saying that David’s animations will be deleted completely such as Songs of War. Is it true? It’s depressing it was canceled but it would be very saddening to see it go away completely along with the many other animations he contributed to.
What he did was fucking disgusting. I was eagerly waiting for Arcadian Rift as it seemed as a genuinly great indie space game, but he's gone and deleted his videos, so I'm assuming the game will never be released. He was someone with real talent, and it's sad to see how talented people can do such horrible things

Considering that man was apart of my childhood going all the way back to 2011 with the Halo Machinimas, I can say this one does sting on a personal level.
I think the worst part for me is that me and Thomas even met the guy in person just last October whilst we were at Seattle for an event with friends. I shook his hand and everything so in retrospect I have this deep regret even crossing paths with him. It’s a shame, but I’m glad this has been brought to light now finally.

Yknow, that's a good question. Why are so many- not just minecraft animators, but just content creators in general- like, actually scummy people? Like, I don't understand it.
I wasn't apart of the BPS community but I was so into Acardian Rift and it really sucks to find this out. I am glad he is being brought to justice.

I was so pumped for that game, wishlisted and everything. You never know what kinda monsters are around you.
That ending rant, man... I felt it in my soul. It felt like I was saying those words.
I've been part of the BPS production crew since Starfall was being worked on and I've known the channel since a month after they quit doing Halo machinima. They got me into Halo, they got me into trying Minecraft animation for myself, they told me stories I loved. The news broke to the production team members before it did to the greater BPS community and I felt like I had been hit by a freight train. I still do. Even more now that I know the details. It's absolutely insane how quick one's perception of somebody they thought was decent can change when the person does something scummy. I have many problems with the BPS community and its spinoffs (I could tell you many stories about the Knights of Ardonia server) but this is the biggest one yet and the one that hurts the most.
I have infinite sympathy for every victim. You did not deserve this and David is an absolute scumbag who deserves whatever comes to him. And I appreciate you for making this video. You've done what needs to be done.
This is beyond my wildest nightmares…how is this possible!? This deception and this backstabbing is just too much for me to handle. How can someone who inspired millions stoop so low and do such things!? I’m disgusted and betrayed by the very man who made me fall in love with Songs Of War and now, whatever happens to him, he deserves it!

I had always wanted to meet David. He basically inspired me to become who I am. I'm honestly disgusted that this guy did all of this stuff. I started my animation career because of SoW. I'm sorry for all the victims, all the people who had to work with him, had to suffer for half a decade.
Never in my entire life would I have expected that the person who first inspired me to Animate to do this piece of crap. I also feel really disappointed and angry towards David. Why would you let down the whole community for doing these kinds of things smh. Your video explains this whole incident really really well Posi, I commend you for that.

I’m still so disappointed in David. He was my inspiration. He created Songs of war, a series that I loved and adored. But now that I’ve learnt the truth of what he did, of his past, I’m so astonished and angry. David’s personality is unacceptable
Dude you should know that every famous person you aspire to is a normal HUMAN BEING just like us. Please wake up and start being aware of this world. It's no magic that MrBeast has 128M subs, or that Elon Musk is a multi-billionaire. They all had great ideas and put in the work to get there, and did not quit after 2 days of starting.
That's a shame.
I was a fan of Arbiter617 back during his halo days. For me and a lot of others, those machinimas were amazing, and looking back now, to this day even still. Back then, Arbiter had a completely different group of friends/coworkers back then, all varying micro internet celebrities who've gone their seperate ways now, it's very weird to see. Some of them disappeared into the internet, some stuck around doing their thing, others blew up and became real directors. This... I never expected this.
I am but someone with surface level knowledge, but old knowledge of David's channel back then. I hate to say this since his and BPS's modern work has clearly drawn more fans and awe than anything else did, but when he made the jump to make the channel fully dedicated to minecraft it seemed nothing but profit based, and nothing else mattered. Previously, he'd announced working on an original animated project, I can't recall the name, along with several other things which were just dropped the second minecraft was successful, as well as hundreds of machinimas being deleted/hidden forever due to copyright music.
Its a shame that era of machinima, no, that era of halo, had to have had a creator like that.
I showed rise of the spartans to everyone I knew. Idk how many times I watched it. I'm putting the director cut on flash drive just incase someone tried to take down his videos out of spite.
im ashamed that i thought nothing would come out of this, little did i know there was much more than just tori involved. i feel sick to realize that i was so blind when i was younger too. not realizing what was actually happening between tori and david.
I feel hurt too. I worked with David on so many animations to know it goes deeper than "we are just friends"
Do not feel bad for being blinded, most of the community was too young to grasp the idea of grooming/abuse/manipulation or the situation in general, and David took advantage of this to do what he did and escape consequences because of his assumptions that the community would not bat an eye due to their naivety and youth. Even terribly so, this was how he avoided the consequences of his previous expose as well during his switch between Arbiter617 and David R. B. and was able to get to me because I never knew what went on with him in the past or with Tori for that matter.
It may have taken this long, but a little bit of me is glad it did so the community could grow and understand the weight of this with maturity and objectivity.
I don’t usually get into large community groups, and pretty much not give a care about said communities (which is weird for a BPS Rigger). But even so I feel beyond disgusted after watching this video as soon as it got across my desk; thus got my attention. I became a rigger and modeler for STARFALL, and moving forward I was hoping that exciting projects will be in the works to partake in, but only for this fiasco to unfold. I was even, though not officially, part of the Arcadian Rift development team. Unfazed as I am, deep down I am trembling.
No different from the Minecraft Animation Community, the GAMING INDUSTRY too should be a safe place and an environment free from any sexual harassment or misconduct, and both player and developer should deliver that promise. Having David out of the picture entirely will also deliver that promise as well. I speak this for the entire industry and my community college. As a student currently studying game design there, the instructors, other students, my friends who are in my classes, and the gaming industry as a whole must be aware of the actions David did, if not to know what has happened in the BPS community. For the victims involved, I wish for you a steady recovery.
Such a shit situation and ruined all those good times for those involved in the BPS community.

As someone who has learned a lot and been inspired by a person who has influenced a lot for everyone. This news is very hitting for everyone and me personally.
I'm just going to be on the bright side now to make this year not even worse considering it's been a dark year with the start of a community that I was proud of having just collapsed. Since I'm already moving on before the announcement when I'm not in the community atm.
After all, we all gonna learn even from the bitter mistake and get the appropriate punishment according to the mistakes we have done and we all also sometimes don't want to let anyone know our problem to give us a chance to get better anyway. Making it not to be even worse and fixing it. I'm hoping for the best for both sides to get a better life after all of this happened.
And yet, I won't go any further on this matter and leave it in its place. Peace.

I was a big fan of Black Plasma Studios in 2016. I remember all of the animations he did along with the group in black plasma. I was not a part of the black plasma community on discord before or after multiple Minecraft animation projects to which he made as I only wanted to watch the animations on youtube when I was 12, to which I thank myself for doing. I knew there were some ships in the community along with Toriable being in them, but I didn’t think it would be this horrific of what he did to her and the other victims. It crazy to think me and her were the exact same age. I was a fan of David genuinely for his work and team he put together and effort. Now that I see his old work now, it makes me think, “how many victims in total did that man do while uploading these videos?! “ and “was he doing this too while uploading them?!” First SkyDoesMinecraft and now him?! Just how many more UA-camrs from my childhood could end up like them?! Thank you PosiDon for your research and bringing this to light. I hope to see justice served on this man for the things he did, and I pray for the victims he had abused and hope for the best for all of them.
It's awful how long he was able to get away with this. If he'd been exposed while the stuff with Tori was going on, Tyme would never have had to go through what she did. By publishing this video now, you are perhaps preventing David from continuing with his evil actions, and saving other people from having to go through that, so thank you.
I'm still not sure what I'll think of Songs of War after this. I don't want to discredit the many hours of work that other people put into it who are completely innocent, but it's unsettling to know that the person who came up with the world, the story, and the characters is such an awful human being. I still want to enjoy the story, but it's hard to look at it the same way now. I do hope they don't take it down, and perhaps, over time, I will stop associating SOW with David and associate it instead with all the other people who put hard work into making it possible, but with the important distinction of not being groomers.
What do you think about SOW and David's other creations going forward?
As unsettling as this is for me, I know that I will never be able to comprehend what David's victims went through, and I feel really bad for them and wish them the best going forward. Beyond being deplatformed, David should be behind bars, plain and simple. If there is any justice in the world, he should pay for what he's done.

As for the content David has created, be it on BPS or his Indie Game channel, I hope the community would detach him from the work he has done, and instead give credit to the team who worked alongside him as they deserve.
You are indeed correct that the teams who worked along him are innocent, but the fate of David's content or the BPS channel is not for me to decide ultimately, I am only here to offer my testaments to Tori's allegations and vice versa.

Man, I hide in the shadows of many communities so I was never aware of this when the server was still up. It sucks that it has to happen to someone you wouldn’t expect, which is why it hurts even more. I wish the very best for all the victims involved with this, I’d forget about it but of course it wouldn’t be that easy. Drama always has to happen so randomly doesn’t it!? I was a BPS fan myself for 2 and a half years (2019-2021), David and Thomas we're one of my biggest idols and inspirations on the BPS community aswell, but despites seeing what David did was truly disgusting. It made me very upset because he finally showed his true colors.
I just hope those victims who we're mentioned in the video and the whole BPS community are all safe and okay. 🙏
I have been watching BPS for about 6 years and I absolutely loved their animations and I still do.
I heard about these rumors a few months ago and then I saw the announcement that was posted about David and I was so upset at how toxic he had been in the past. I hope all victims are doing well and can recover from their horrible acts. I am glad that BPS will be given to a director and I can hope that they can point the studios in an amazing direction. Yes, I am upset that BPS is getting rebranded but that was David’s company and we do not want to be held in the past for his mistakes.
Watched the whole video start to finish. I, like a lot of other people, was inspired and continuously motivated by David and his content, as well as his extremely active work ethic, the way he presented himself, and the man we thought he was.
It's disgusting what he did. I'm glad that this is all public now, and that he's finally seeing consequences for his actions. Thank you and good job for leading this investigation on him-I wouldn't have known where to start. I do have to say though, the video isn't too great. The video in and of itself is entirely dependent on Occam's Razor, which doesn't actually prove anything- it just means that it's the most likely thing that happened. The slideshow, on the other hand, very much does prove that this was all true. Please preserve that. Download it, back it up a few times, make sure it can never be taken down completely. It needs to stay in existence, following this man wherever he goes.
I hope the victims can process, deal with, and move on from the trauma this bastard caused, in a healthy way. My heart goes out to them.

Whether it's a micro-celebrity or a macro-celebrity... Being a celebrity doesn't and won't shield you from such acts. Even if it did, you still wouldn't be accepted around society. A close example are some of the presidents - although their position may protect them, except that the society still hates them.
Just be a respectful person for yourself and for everyone else. It's not that hard.

Well, the world is changing as well as time. We never know what is coming to hit weather it is good or bad .
I'm completely disappointed and hurt as a long time subscriber, patron, and most of all a fan of this man and his channel. I am a skilled 3D animator who is looking to one day do work as an animator because of his videos, especially his early blender tutorials from back in the day. This is a massive shock as he is not only a creator but also one of the biggest artists I've ever looked up to. I wish his victims the best moving forwards and hope anyone else affected by this the best also.
Just coming here finding out this video was finally made. The pedophilia I was subjected to in this community as a young teen will be on my conscience for the rest of my life. It hurts more knowing that, amongst many other kids around my age who also were victims, the only people who could have spoke out to help us were adults that were also complicit. I hope my friends from that time will eventually be able to heal from these wrongs.

I knew him way before his Minecraft days when he was still making Halo Machinimas like Rise of the Spartans of which I was a fan of and was involved in simply as a body actor. It was one of my first exposures to working in Halo Machinima and I kept on getting involved in more stuff and meeting other individual creators that he frequently collaborated with. Unfortunately most of the people he had collaborated with had done many terrible things of their own to people including grooming. And now David has just been added to the growing shit list of former Machinima directors turned into awful and f**ked up people. I’m deeply disgusted by all of this and I just hope that anyone who was affected by him will be ok and be given the full support they need.
I grew up watching his Halo Machinimas... Rise of the Spartans was my favourite machinima series. I used to treat each one like an event when released... now im just heartbroken. This has let me down. Thank you for making this video. Well made video.

Jesus christ, I was asking myself "Oh hey I wonder how that game Arcadian Rift is coming along" and then I googled his channel and found this.....
I joined during 2017, and looked up to Toriable as an idol. We were around similar ages but never friends - I highly doubt she remembers me - but I was a Helper on the Black Plasma Gaming server. As I look back now, I feel deeply ashamed that I never noticed *any* of this, even if I was so young and naive. I never processed what was going on, and it hurts me nowadays.
I didn't have him as my main animator idol, Samuel Kyber is the one with that title. And I'm glad I didn't. I've moved on since the early days into a more stable community (Rainimator), but my S.O and a few of my good friends were still associated with BPS. It disgusts me that this could have happened to those I know as well. I'm glad it didn't, and hopeful that it won't.
Tori, if you are reading this, - and if you remember me - I'm so sorry I never saw this. I am deeply ashamed at myself for never picking up that something could have been wrong, especially since I had begun learning about that stuff around that time. I offer both you and Tyme my solidarity and support, and I hope you both can move on from this and live your lives. Let him be nothing but a lost whisper in the wind.

Well shit why does everything i love the creator is mostly either has bad reputation, did something awful, or has controversy, and even all three
I was part of his community back when he did Halo Reach Custom Games. Cops and Robbers was a particular favorite of mine. Then, I got into BPS, and was a particular fan of Songs of War- still love that series. But now, to hear that the guy behind these things that I genuinely enjoyed was actually doing horrible things behind the curtain is frankly horrific. Particularly seeing all the comments from people saying they were hired by him as not only minors, but pre-teens and early teens... it makes me sick.
I'm happy to hear the BPS team is rebranding and continuing on without him, though. It would be a shame if the entire team got cut just because of things David did. I also think it's important to make it clear that just because we enjoyed his content doesn't mean we condone his actions. You don't need to feel guilt for having enjoyed Songs of War, or having been excited for Arcadian Rift- all it means is that we now need to hold his actions accountable.
This was without a doubt a hard video to get through but also a VERY important one too. It definitely saddened and maddened me to hear of all of this news but it is still relieving that these voices are finally being heard. I remember watching David's stuff as far back as 2016 and I didn't get too close. I watched his stuff then and participated in his events back in the day, and I never got to know one of the two victims well but I did know the other, probably because I moderate for someone they know well. That person I moderate for told me of this matter. It made me squirm. But, now that I got through all of the video, my mind is altered. Altered with the truth. I say, those who were impacted negatively most all have my respects.

I used to be a big Fan of BPS back in 2016-2020. David was the reason I got into 3D animation and learned how to animate. He is the reason I went to college to study animation. I have been away from the BPS community for a few years now, but in that time, I have graduated and am working full-time as an animator in the industry. Today, I randomly remembered BPS and wanted to check up on them and saw this. To think David would turn out to be such a disgusting human being… is just sad and disgusting. To think I once dreamed about becoming an animator for song of war and busted my ass refining my skills. As an Asian female myself, I guess I was one of the few lucky ones who didn’t have to be a victim of David's disgusting act. I know I’m late to the party, but I’m shocked. My heart goes out to the people who has been impacted.
Well. What an interesting video! I was never a part of BPS, nor have I ever watched their content much. But I did make friends with some current and ex-BPS members. First tori (not sure she remembers me) and now Nitrox and a few others. I've always heard stories of the "BPS days" but was somewhat out of the loop on them. As an outsider, I can say that your video was pretty informative and filled in several knowledge gaps for me!
Maybe with him gone and BPS rebranding, I could look into joining that community. Everyone else I've met from it has been great so far. As a relative outsider, thank you for making this video!

I idolized the fanbase cultivated around David. I thought that there could be no community more creative, more wholesome, more relaxed, more genuinely incredible than that of Black Plasma Studios, Songs of War, Arcadian Rift, and David R.B himself.
This truly shows the dangers of the internet, in a far more personal and absolute manner than ever before. My heart goes out to all those affected. Thank you for your courage in helping us to see David for who he was, and I am terribly sorry for all you have endured.
And thank you, Posi, for working as you have to bring these revolting, deplorable acts to light. I have long admired your passion and ability as a person, and this only furthers that opinion. You may never receive the recognition merited by all you have done, but I say this. You have potentially saved lord knows how many innocents incomprehensible amounts of trauma and torment. You have exposed someone who, according to all evidence, was dangerous for their obliviousness at best, and a menace to humanity at worst. You have ripped free the veil concealing a man who deserves no less than total ostracism and defacement for all he has done. You have ensured the caution of quite possibly thousands of people moving forwards, as they continue their lives on the internet.

Sucks to see yet another person I used to watch religiously growing up turned out to be a complete monster. I feel for his victims.

I don't actually have anything to say about this, I feel the rest of the community's response to this sums up my emotions pretty well, but I do hope the victims that were traumatized are alright now and David gets what he deserves for his crimes.

I worked for him as a voice actor way back during Rise of the Spartans. Even joined in on a filming session. Sad to say I was proud of it at the time.

I can’t believe I actually looked up to David. Even considered learning 3d animation (luckily I didn’t) because of how much I looked up to him. Good thing I chose 2d digital art instead. It’s a shame he turned out to be a freaking criminal.
Animation has nothing to do with him. There are lots of other great animators out there
David may have had many talents, successes, and skills, but we are here to acknowledge his wrongdoings, NOT to honor whatever slim margin of personal successes he has held. No amount of skill or talent, needless to say nothing at all, excuses the terrible behaviors he willingly indulged in. He abused and groomed vulnerable children with his position. No other "good" deeds of his can deny the truth or somehow make up for what he has done.
To those of you personally afflicted, I offer my deepest sympathies. I am here to speak if you should ever need it. To all: it's time to move on from the shadow of BPS and David and support the directors as they operate to make it something greater in the future. It is their work and efforts we should be honoring. Matt, Sam, Mont, Omeleto, the stage is yours.
David built his empire on lies about the person he was. The David we idolized was never real. Hate the crime, but remember it, and always support the victims. Justice is blind. Vincit omnia veritas.

@@molten_bread It's not about what you think. It's about the integrity and decision of the other directors at BPS. The channel is undergoing a full revamp and rebranding to separate itself from David and his actions. While it is true that the art should be separated from the artist, it is also true that association with David at any point ongoing in the future will only harm the other directors, who are completely innocent and only trying to maintain their livelihoods and career. If you know close to nothing about the situation as you've let on, it should be at least fairly easy for you to understand that it was never your say. If they kept everything he made up there it would strongly contradict their statement of going against his actions and not condoning/supporting anything he has done. He did this to himself.
@@molten_bread just to add to the convo a bit. The decision to remove his videos is not final. We’ll hopefully talk about it soon. There may be ways to keep the content around, but that’s something us directors will have a chat about in the coming days.

I was a bit of a beginner and wanted to add more writing to Rise of the Spartans and made the Meet RotS series. I'll admit, it did have its criticism because people thought I was using it for views and others were happy that I was adding something to it. I was only just starting machinima, finding my footing, and getting myself into the machinima world. However, personal stuff happened, and my consoles were taken away during the school period many times by my parents to focus on school.
I never understood how rude he was when one of his co-workers told me David called me, "stupid" for writing his character, "Nightflash" in a now deleted Meet Series Video. The writing was bad and some people made fun of me for it. Of course, drama ensued. I confronted him about it on Skype and he tried to cover it up. Since I was new to online communities and to the machinima world, I didn't really understand the situation and I was young and not massively aware about internet bullying. And to add, I wasn't the aggressive person to call people out for their rudeness once I started using discord in 2017 and exposing myself to the other side of the internet. I again, thought he was a nice person. However, I'm really distraught and upset at this creep. I lost interest in BPS and machinima after he created the director's cut for Rise of the Spartans. I was about to start college in 2015, I found my own writing style for machinima, and was in another machinima community.
So this does sting on a personal level, even though I haven't watched him in so long.

It’s strange tho, makes me wonder if he was gaming with me and all my buddies who were 14 at the time because he felt more connected with us, not to say that’s always a issue, because we gamed with tons of older guys who just genuinely playing halo and competing with competitive players who loved it as well

David RB was not the sole creator of Songs of War. While it may have been his idea so many other animators, voice actors, and builders helped to breathe life into it. When it is something this large especially with many people helping to create it I think we should seperate the art from the artist.

Rise of the spartans is my favourite series but if the character known as Nightflash has known what his voice actor has done in the past… he would be angry and disgusted at him…. As that man who voiced him has betrayed not only Nightflash, but all of the stories, machinimas, characters and even those who looks up to him… Considering him even worse than those ONI guys who was doing a part of their jobs… and having endured a whole new hell from his armor being removed and his time in prison back in Act 3… 😡😡😡
