I like the reticles that have a dot and an outer circle. I have a Holosun 510c. Everything in close hits at exactly 6 o'clock on the outer circle. It's awesome and quick.
🎮There's another option you didn't mention. Purchase an optic like an Eotech that has a specific aiming point for 7 yards. Zero with your preferred self defense ammo and you're good to go! Well, your rifle is accurate but you should continue training!
It’s really not necessary, but I have an eotech and it’s nice that basically the bottom of the circle reticle is point of impact at in home distances. They say 7 yards but it’s basically point of impact anywhere close

Consider having your speed loaders upside down I’ve heard it’s much faster for many to use snap and you have gravity on your side
I zero at 50yds so the 50/200 zero. I usually do my training 50yds and in. Holds are muscle memory now.
