Sorry but it seems you are overpaying custom duties.. Commissioner cannot overcharge by even one Rupee.. Customs are charged as per rates mentioned in Laws.. It differs from goods to goods.. Demurrage is applicable if goods are not collected within 7 days (depends on port type and shipment type. Only 72 hours for Air based shipment).. Goods have to be released within stipulated time of paying customs.. I'm a CA and if you need my help, I can help you with exact custom duties and correspond with Commissioner for releasing the goods.. No Commissioner can stop it, unless it is barred by law.. First 3 services totally free.. Personally bought goods from London, was sent a customs bill of Rs. 23,700/- but managed to reduce it to Rs. 4,500/- only.. Fully legally, as per the law.. That is because I knew the law.. The theory that Indian Govt wants to resist Import to help local manuf is wrong.. (Ex : Bullet train. All suppliers and contractors are majorly Japanese.) Most of the orders which was shipped from China reached me in around 30-35 days which had free delivery along with tracking number. Surprising part from Ali express was that when parcel shipped from Singapore(free delivery), it fit delivered in 10 days flat. Much to my surprise customs cleared parcel in Diwali as well.

I've ordered from Gearbest 4 times. All parcel came within 7 to 10 days, to Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Orders were less than $30. Also I got Rs. 900 of custom duty returned after 60 days of order when I purchased from Amazon USA site. Item price was also Rs. 1000(had to pay that much for customs). It takes 3 to 4 weeks from USA and 1 to 2 weeks from China/Hong Kong.

Customs duty is Random & 50-50% chance for clearance & based on our Luck only. Already paid ₹350 for two normal wrist watches of ₹700. ₹8,500 for smartphone. Got two smartphones in same package, without any problem & taxes in Feb 2014. This was strange. Currently Stucked with another wrist watch, Customs officer don't want to release untill documents & money. Lost many parcels, but got refund or another product in that cases. One thing to mention, earlier it was also 41.5% + Taxes, but now they also added Many types of GST & Taxes. In there is 10 - 41.5% duty as per product, but Indians customs charges base 41.5% for all products. After MODI government, the situation gone Worst ever. 😡👿 Thank you. ☺️

iVAN té Selfie no not legal. They will charge custom on drone. They might even not allow u to take drone. U need to show them proof for which purpose u have got drone from abroad like u r UA-camr or videographer. But they will still charge custom on drone. Only in case of drone it is illegal.

Great video Mr. Prasad, I feel Gearbest with priority lane shipping is very trust worthy, it come to Kolkata via Gati courier, usually I get it within 10 days, no customs paid in my 3-4 purchases. Worst courier partners are DHL, if you select it you have to pay customs no matter what but packages come early in 2-3 days. Just sharing my exp.

I have good experience with aliexpress... i had ordered hard drive case from aliexpress cost around 260Rs which (lacdo hard disk case) was same on amazon of around 1200Rs .. ya it was much low cost on aliexpress.. I ordered using small packet ordinary post (free shipping) and it arrived with in 15 days. if the address is of any metro city then their won't be any issue in delivery.. entire process depend on local post office and custom process... and if you failed to receive the product arrived by small packet ordinary post (free shipping) then you wont get product back as local post office will not provide you any receipt of free shipping product and later it will be return to custom with out any notice or track number.
hey brother GST and Custom Duty are different..I am a CA final student..and custom duty depends on the type of products you are importing.Different rates are there for different products . don't spread wrong info.
It also depends upon the Seller's ratings and recognition. You can normally see the feedbacks in theirs profile. If it is sold directly by the site, then no problem. Also, I think for eBay, there is a thing called Power Seller. It's like how "Amazon Fulfilled" and "Flipkart Assured" works.

Some of the comments on 41% is NOT TRUE. The Customs duty depends on the 'Type' of good that is being imported. Please look at the Cybex or Indian customs government site to get the right 'HS' code for the product you plan to import and it then shows the exact customs duty that will be charged. For example the customs duty on Laptop 'after' GST is only 18%. Others like shoes will be lot higher.
I have ordered lots of stuff under 10k INR from gearbest using "indian express for e-commerce" also known as Gati as shipping method and not even a single time i have been charged with customs luckily
Prasad, I don't know if you have tried Amazon.com or not but I always prefer Amazon.com to order in India. What ever procedure you told in this video I never done. Because Amazon already took custome fees in advance, Which is refundable (after deduction). Yes you have to submit identity proof (adhar etc.) however it can be done over phone or email with UPS. And I never face any issue. My order delivered to my doorstep through (UPS). Both Amazon.com and UPS are doing good job. The biggest plus point is Amazon customer service as well as Ups. Very helpful, (don't compare it with Amazon.in). Even if your package is lost your money is safe. And Yes you can order items which are sold by Chinese sellers. Don't know about price. It can be more as compared to other websites, but I prefer service after sell, which you will get in Amazon.com. Also there is shipping options free, fast, priority etc. Prasad if you haven't try Amazon.com then please try you will definitely love it. (You can make separate video on this )

I ordered a product on AliExpress in August. This is October now and still not arrived. Tracking website says sent to India but nothing more. Finally I raised dispute and cancelled on AliExpress and now waiting for refund. They are saying it's 8 days holiday in China now so response will be delayed. Also they are saying it takes 3- 20 days to process refund ! Thankfully I had ordered a small item and this wasn't a big investment. A big jolt to my international shopping ! Hopefully I'll get the money back. I'll come back to update about it. Hopefully this year itself. Think 10 times before you order.

More products are there in India than here in Nepal. So, you can imagine getting products here that are not available in India. Our government doesn't allow to send money out of country so payment to international shopping sites is nearly impossible. So, we have to ask relatives living in foreign or people who have VISA/ MasterCard provided by international distributor. But, if ordered by registered services who provides tracking no. it is not much of a big problem to get imported products(unless the product is restricted for import by government) from respective courier office by paying custom and duty. I tried EMS once, easy tracking and it arrived on local post office on time as EMS is hadled in Nepal by government post office. Unregistered mail or parcel is not guaranteed to arrive and if it arrives may take months.

Best advice is not to buy form international sites. For me an average of 25 days it took I was not levied customs duty all the purchases were under 600 rs. But when I bought a headphone for rs 1500 it was assessed at higher and was levied 1350 customs duty and I got it in around 8 days FedEx shipping I sent the scanned copy of the form and Id proof to FedEx and they paid customs and did the formalities on behalf of me.

But sare products available nahi hotay. Me 1-2 products aur try karunga Dekhta hun Receive kitne din me hotay hai :D But chinese websites se isiliye nahi mangaye as i already had watched a lot of other videos regarding customs :D

1. its your courier company that clear the shipment from Indian customs on behalf of you so please chose courier company wisely.
2. If any individual consumer import anything in India He/she have to pay approx 61% of duty and if a company or business house imports the duty varies product wise.
3. THE DRONE: Indian customs have restriction on import of drones up to certain frequencies and this restriction is by DGCA because we have not any Govt policies in India till now for UAV's or drones. so avoid to import drone.

Great video Mr. Prasad, I feel Gearbest with priority lane shipping is very trust worthy, it come to Kolkata via Gati courier, usually I get it within 10 days, no customs paid in my 3-4 purchases. Worst courier partners are DHL, if you select it you have to pay customs no matter what but packages come early in 2-3 days. Just sharing my exp.

I have good experience with aliexpress... i had ordered hard drive case from aliexpress cost around 260Rs which (lacdo hard disk case) was same on amazon of around 1200Rs .. ya it was much low cost on aliexpress.. I ordered using small packet ordinary post (free shipping) and it arrived with in 15 days. if the address is of any metro city then their won't be any issue in delivery.. entire process depend on local post office and custom process... and if you failed to receive the product arrived by small packet ordinary post (free shipping) then you wont get product back as local post office will not provide you any receipt of free shipping product and later it will be return to custom with out any notice or track number.

Some of the comments on 41% is NOT TRUE. The Customs duty depends on the 'Type' of good that is being imported. Please look at the Cybex or Indian customs government site to get the right 'HS' code for the product you plan to import and it then shows the exact customs duty that will be charged. For example the customs duty on Laptop 'after' GST is only 18%. Others like shoes will be lot higher.

Prasad, I don't know if you have tried Amazon.com or not but I always prefer Amazon.com to order in India. What ever procedure you told in this video I never done. Because Amazon already took custome fees in advance, Which is refundable (after deduction). Yes you have to submit identity proof (adhar etc.) however it can be done over phone or email with UPS. And I never face any issue. My order delivered to my doorstep through (UPS). Both Amazon.com and UPS are doing good job. The biggest plus point is Amazon customer service as well as Ups. Very helpful, (don't compare it with Amazon.in). Even if your package is lost your money is safe. And Yes you can order items which are sold by Chinese sellers. Don't know about price. It can be more as compared to other websites, but I prefer service after sell, which you will get in Amazon.com. Also there is shipping options free, fast, priority etc. Prasad if you haven't try Amazon.com then please try you will definitely love it. (You can make separate video on this )

I ordered a product on AliExpress in August. This is October now and still not arrived. Tracking website says sent to India but nothing more. Finally I raised dispute and cancelled on AliExpress and now waiting for refund. They are saying it's 8 days holiday in China now so response will be delayed. Also they are saying it takes 3- 20 days to process refund ! Thankfully I had ordered a small item and this wasn't a big investment. A big jolt to my international shopping ! Hopefully I'll get the money back. I'll come back to update about it. Hopefully this year itself. Think 10 times before you order.

More products are there in India than here in Nepal. So, you can imagine getting products here that are not available in India. Our government doesn't allow to send money out of country so payment to international shopping sites is nearly impossible. So, we have to ask relatives living in foreign or people who have VISA/ MasterCard provided by international distributor. But, if ordered by registered services who provides tracking no. it is not much of a big problem to get imported products(unless the product is restricted for import by government) from respective courier office by paying custom and duty. I tried EMS once, easy tracking and it arrived on local post office on time as EMS is hadled in Nepal by government post office. Unregistered mail or parcel is not guaranteed to arrive and if it arrives may take months.

Best advice is not to buy form international sites. For me an average of 25 days it took I was not levied customs duty all the purchases were under 600 rs. But when I bought a headphone for rs 1500 it was assessed at higher and was levied 1350 customs duty and I got it in around 8 days FedEx shipping I sent the scanned copy of the form and Id proof to FedEx and they paid customs and did the formalities on behalf of me.
