Lots of rapids on it; good wildlife spotting but scenery no hell compared to so many other river in yukon
Hi! Would you please tell me how long it took for you to paddle from the puddle to keele creek confluence and from keele creek confluence to mayo if you still remember?
Sure. The whole trip was from the 8th of August to the 18th of August. It took us 3 days from the puddle to the Keele Creek confluence, and the remainder to Mayo. We didn't have any layover days. Packrafts are slow....

@@jklassen5257 how did you run that unmarked rapid located 1km or so before the hess makes sharp turn towards stewart? Was it washed out during your trip? We found it be the toughest rapid below keele (at normal-ish water levels)
@@goslicey Yeah...the river was in full flood at that point for us. So a few of the separated rapids were joined up, and others were just very big wave trains. Four of us ran that rapid, the other walked around it. Hope you had a great trip without too much smoke.
@@jklassen5257 thank you! we've got some. Right bank of Hess at the Stewart confluence was in fire during our trip. And I learned forest around Emerald Creek confluence faced the same fait recently.
