A group of 8 of us from Ottawa did the Wind River - Peel River trip a few weeks earlier (June 2022). Great video - nice to see many of the sights that we experienced on our trip.

Agree with Ross. I was along on that trip and we had quite the adventure. It was great to see your video and enjoy the scenery all over again. That is a very different river than it was in June. It was a bit of a beast, particularly from McLusky and the first couple of days in. Did you see any ice fields along the way? We travelled through several endless expanses of ice on our journey in June.

Out trip ran in August. No ice on the river and water levels out of McLusky were low. River must be totally different in June.

Beautiful video. Thanks for taking us along. I would absolutely love to plan something similar in the future with my family. Could you share an approximate cost for such a terrific adventure and if you had guides? Thanks and cheers!

Glad you liked the video! We had three guides. The trip was run by Black Feather an Ontario Canada based adventure company. Check their website for current prices.

I camped at many of the same places in 2016. Tell me, did you guys see a lot of mammals? We did not. It was very hot when we did this trip.

Not a heck of a lot. We saw one grizzly bear and a small herd of mountain goats.

Thanks for watching! We were on the move every day, so all the hikes were around the campsites in the late afternoon weather permitting. So, none of them really stand out. In retrospect, the Wind River really needs three weeks of time so that there are plenty of layover days for exploration.

No way. When I see so many people consuming so much, all I can think about is how much waste they produced and how they left nature. That sad!

Bleep if this is the new norm of “adventure “travel then thank you very little,I’ll take the road less travelled by as many of you 1000 dollar a day types as I can.You are the types where you go in for a thrill, while I go in for everything be it beauty, discovery, wonders and sense of being in the world around you.I’m sure those people think that way but, nothing can go wrong on their 1 week trip of a lifetime after all they paid that 1000 dollar a day price.Peace from a west cost Canuck.
