I just realized that all I need to do in Vital is to have a couple LFO's switch between oscillators, one with fundamental and one without. No need to have 2 instances of Vital running. Lol, I was doing things the hard way.
Very simple, but very effective. You have a real skill in presenting things like this so succinctly. It's posts like this where I'm proud to have been a Patreon subscriber to you for years. Keep up the great work. Better baselines for everyone 😀
I like always the powerfull melodic riff with the bass... I wonder then... why the other grooves? Yet I did a composition the other day using a mere up beat gallop bass because I was a bit doubtful regarding the main melody, so it was like... "just drop the gallop groove and enjoy the ride". Finally, this specific track can't have a powerfull melodic riff. I think it 's due the complexity of the whole track... don't know... but it fits perfect.

Wowww thanks Dash if possible make more such short and full of knowledge videos thanks . I learned some basics basses from your videos long back since than your videos became too advanced for me if possible some videos on basics please 🙏.
Hi! Great video, thank you so much. I am following along and taking notes! Can I ask how I can do the same thing in Serum so when you adjusted the Master Pitch from -12 to -24, at timestamp: 7:00? I loved that rippling EFX it created on the sound.
Awesome as always. I would appreciate it if you would to a tutorial to make a bass like pixel. Especially the one in his track “Awol” with pettra. Thanks 🙏🏻
@@DashGlitch yes and there is some long velocity style looking things where it remove some frequncies but i got a problem when i remove it and saturate its like its still sound thin compared other artist music i make house dont know if they do this there
Instead of sidechaining the kick and bass I skip the bass when the kick hits. It looks like this kick, bass, bass, bass and repeat. What do you think about that approach? It sounds good to me at least.
@@DashGlitch I saw that after posting, sorry. Your content is great but the videos are a bit long to digest. I jump around a bit. But then I miss things for sure.
pls tell me why some of the tracks in psy trance has an awesome quality like terra sonya or some vini vici tracks, what is the secret of that high quality ? is it in the mastering ? or equipment ? pls let me know
They have been making music since they were like 15 or younger. Their whole lives... Experience for sure but also if you really want to know you will figure it out yourself. I taught myself how to produce just by messing around. No teachers.
This is perfectly, exactly what I needed, perfectly at the exact moment that I wanted it. Bro, you are a damn legend. Keep 'em coming.
my thoughts too :D great video Dash

This is one of the better ones from you in a while. Even if you know this stuff it's great to see you work through it. Thank you
cutting the fundamental of 1st note is a game changer! Thank you man
My favorite was the ending bassline of course. Love the bass melodies.
Thanks! would love to see some of these available as a downloadable project.
I have just launched a masterclass which includes a full project and template
Wooooow , haven't been here for a while, you've got some serious upgrades dude 👏 congratulations
Welcome back!
Perfect walk-through. I've produced trance for about 25 years and I wish this video was available in the mid 1990's :D Keep up the good work!
Thanks brother :)
I feel honoured: it is the first time I am watching a Dash Glitch video and it says it is a premiere.
thanks! I hope you stick around :)

very good
thanks 👍👍👍
awesome
Just wanted to tell you, that i love your videos so much...! Great stuff
Awesome man. Love your approach to this style. Keeping it clean but still getting those groves.
Thank you so much ! lucky to have a tutor. For free !
Thanks for your educational videos! They motivated me to learn more about sound theory, design, tool utilization, and psytrance.
Really Nice ! Thanks for this super tutorial 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Very good tutor brother

you can change the "oct" parameter on each oscillator
Are you having a reverb on your voice?
Hi :) this bass was made in phaseplant? It sounds epic. Do you have a tutorial on this base noise synthesis

Yep, check on my channel
@@DashGlitch found it :)
Awesome as always. I would appreciate it if you would to a tutorial to make a bass like pixel. Especially the one in his track “Awol” with pettra. Thanks 🙏🏻
try exactly this but with a square waveform
@@DashGlitch no bro that ain’t no square haha, pixel uses something else. People say it’s pulse but i can’t seem to get it right
@@kadabra_music pulse = square. The trick here is the alternating octaves and glide
stupid question are there phase issues on off beat basslines between kick and bass?
if the elements don't overlap then no
_-) enough tips to starting directly a goa track _) too nice the videos :top: the last trick , it reminds me to "cosmic tone" goa bass lines
How did you render your bass into a wavetable like that?
genius!
hoho - it is not far to the 50 000 . 49k ist totally phatt!
15:00 why does it not make phase issues whit such a sharp slope
it's not EQing the sound, it's changing which partials are being generated, purely linear-phase
@@DashGlitch what is it called i dont have this synth but is it the same in the vps avenger?
@@BFHPET Avenger has a wavetable editor right?
@@DashGlitch yes and there is some long velocity style looking things where it remove some frequncies but i got a problem when i remove it and saturate its like its still sound thin compared other artist music i make house dont know if they do this there
What about eq ing the low end in the first note by let's say bell shape on 50Hz
Voxengo php979 to allign or blue cat audio is very effective
If you directly control the harmonics, you’re doing what the EQ is doing but less destructively
How do we not all end up with exactly the same bassline patterns in the end?
same applies to any music theory I guess ;) just use what you want and add your own flavour
Instead of sidechaining the kick and bass I skip the bass when the kick hits. It looks like this kick, bass, bass, bass and repeat. What do you think about that approach? It sounds good to me at least.
Did you watch the video? I don't use the overlapping bass either, sidechain is for the first of the other three notes

like to share the wavetable for that bassline pleasE?
its part of a pack i'm working on
@@DashGlitch awesome!

No triolic bassline?
you mean Triplet? That's more for progressive than full-on
@@DashGlitch yes i guess its called triplet in english im not sure though. Yeah its progressive but the offbeat bassline is progressive too.
My like iz #100
More octaves, more groove.
Can't you just turn down the velocity of the first bass note?
You can, but sidechain is cleaner
Swing, glides n triplets and i swear thats all psy basses
Swing and triplets not very common in fullon, it’s more of a prog thing
@@DashGlitch my point was that with those and the styles in this video you've got every style of bass line used across all genres
