Halloween (2007) The Shape Stalks *Better Version*

- I edited the song to make it vastly better. I cut out the random noises in the first 2 minutes of the original track and added the "Chasing Laurie" track to the beginning. I make no claim of ownership. All rights belong to their respective owners. Help the film industry by watching Halloween (2007) on home video or on available streaming services.

This is arguably the scariest and most intimidating version of “The Shape Stalks”, the raw and pure nightmarish intensity it delivers.. along with the classic O.G. piano keys makes it even more better than the other previous incarnations.
agreed similar to 2018
The two things you can argue can be appreciated about this movie, in spite of all its' glaringly obvious problems, is the mask and the score. The mask was like a perfect redesign after all those other crappy ones. As for the score it's Carpenter's score remixed. Instantly good. Points deducted for Love Hurts, but still otherwise good.
I'll give it something, it's definitely fucking menacing as hell. But to me, the mask, while menacing, is a little too try hard. That's why 2018s mask is my favorite sequel mask. Let's be honest, nothing will ever top the original but to me the 2018 mask looks like a proper evolution of that 78 mask. And as for the score? Well Rob Zombie is a musician first and that definitely shows. Again, I don't think it's bad, but I think at times it does feel a little try hard and i think that simple is better. It doesn't overstay it's welcome, and that's one big complaint about the original movie i have. I love the music, it's iconic for a reason but do i love it as much the 50th time the same track plays? Not so much. It's actually said that the entire score for the film was made in a week, and while John Carpenter's score is great and iconic because of it's simplicity, yeah it definitely shows.
At the end of the day I'll still be firm in the fact that I think the Rob Zombie movies are terrible terrible messes, especially the second one. Bad writing, over the top agressive gore, unlikeable characters, a motherfucking r*pe scene(which wasn't in the theatrical cut, but sadly that version of the film hasn't seen an official release. It's readily available through bootlegs and rips online, but I'd recommend if you're going to watch the movie, it's worth watching that version instead and i hope a rerelease of the Rob Zombie movie can include both versions someday)
It has many many issues, but it's not all bad and I think the critics can be too harsh. I still don't like them, the second one is my least favorite Halloween movie, yes even more than the Busta Rhymes one because at least that one is damn entertaining in it's shittyness. But there's enough there in the first one to watch, at least once. I feel like with better writing and scenes i can actually watch, this movie coulda been truly amazing but sadly i just maintain the opinion that it was wasted opportunity and it's a god awful mess with some good things in it that make it sting less

1:40 is arguably the best moment in this entire score.
I agree with you👍👍
I think the 2018 movie’s score even went back and paid a bit of homage to this.
Kills, too.
This part fits a scene in which we see the aftermath of a violent tornado.
what's the scores called that you're talking about?@@Gojirawars03
This is way better than noises for 2 minutes like in the soundtrack it was awesome
Yea
They both as good as each other
... but this has even more noises for 2min.?...
This is my favorite version of The Shape Stalks.
The piano being just _slightly_ out of tune makes the whole score to this film infinitely more eerie than the original’s to me.
John Carpenter:
"Hold my beer..."
0:01 Chasing Laurie
0:47 (Not sure what the score is, but when Michael kills Judith.)
the score is basically called : "Judith Kill"
@@razistv4881 Where were you when Judith died?

"No"

The original ,,The Shape Stalks'' was a stalking theme, but this one is ,,The Shape Murders''...:)))))
1:40 is very creepy....

It's like the aftermath of a huge thunderstorm, like the one I suffered through on August 1, 2022.
Rob zombie has some obsession with long hair dudes.
Exactly, like almost all of the guys in this movie had long hair.
Even Michael.
100% BRUTAL 🤘🤘🤘🤘
My favourite Halloween
The 2018 version sounds oddly similar to this. Wonder if the Carpenters and Davies got some inspiration from Bates' rendition.
I feel like they drew inspiration from the entire franchise and rolled it into the new trilogy.
One of the best
Tyler Bates delivers on this raucous reimagining of the classic chasing theme.
don't like the remake, but this version of Shape Stalks is lit!!!!
You gotta admit the remake was pretty gnarly, even though you don't like it.
@@bardthenascarfanaticdragonYeah, it’s too rough but from remaking they did good.
Original is still the best.

tan tantan tan tatan plin plin plin plin pli
This sounds like a zombie theme lol
I mean it's cool I just like classic's nothing beats classics
Honestly, listening to this and seeing the movie poster makes me think of how much wasted potential there is here.
The idea of a purely evil Myers with the brutality of Rob Zombie's brand of slasher film has so much potential to make Myers scary again, and they wasted it all on making the Shape (if you can even call this "the Shape") into a sympathetic sadboy who just wants his little sister's acceptance.
The closest we get to this is Halloween Kills, and even then, what he does is pretty par-the-course for Halloween brutality, not nearly the level that Rob Zombie could do, and not even close to what this Myers has done.
This title was a fucking personal attack on me
Did you make this version?
I'm not sure what you mean. This is my edit, but I didn't produce any new music if that's what you mean. This is Tyler Bates' soundtrack. I just made some cuts to "Judith Kill" and subbed in "Chasing Laurie" to the beginning.
Were the dings on a synthesizer
I think so, but don't quote me. I am not an expert by any means.
I sped it up to 1.25 it's even scarier

True
This music will the chase music if Michael myers was a robot
“its just a game bro”
Hell yeah better
The music was so good and the mask was actually alright but I wish the movie itself was good
