Thank you for another very informative video. I started 2 years ago with the Aerophone Mini with the Roland app on my Ipad, and now play the AE-10. I am gigging with the Aerophone and enjoying the musical journey that you are providing. My band has not used backing tracks, but this looks to be something that I would like to investigate. Thank you for providing another great way to utilize the Aerophone.
Super useful, thanks! Some real 'one man band' potential with the timeline based scene switching. I guess you could layer scenes as well and simultaneously play the family of saxophones with the wind controller.
Great video, Alistair! I'm slowly building up my set gear, which has included Camelot Pro for a while now, but have yet to really start playing. I was really pleased when they provided Smartmap for AE-10 (apparently it was some weird thing over undocumented MIDI channel use for program change!) I note that now you can also select an Audio input - does this mean I can now route both USB-MIDI and audio (via my new Arturia MiniFuse 4) so that I can use built-in sounds (via audio) and VST instruments (via USB-MIDI) in the same set?
So..... I can edit zen sounds that are on my ae-30...Without the Cloud sounds ? Editing my Ae-30 zen sounds in camelot OR zenology pro editor?????? ??? How ???????
Alistair, I’m in Canada, and I can’t find Camelot on my Dell laptop. There’s nothing even close to it. There is a version for DJ’s, but that’s it. On the other hand, I have found a program called MainStage 3 Explored Course by NonLinear Education Inc. Is there a new version of Camelot that’s called something else, or is there another app I can use to access Zenology Pro? Thanks very much.
I’m asking something similar. Does Zenology allow us to layer different sounds, to make chords, for example. I liked hearing that effect when Alistair did it on the pro model.
Hi again. You said in the first video in the series that you were going to post a link to sounds you have programmed to use with the Aerophone. Did I miss this?
Hi. This wasn’t possible in the end I’m afraid. You can have a look at my online courses to learn how to make sounds and download some sounds there too. Visit www.iSax.Academy
@@isax.academy Thanks for the reply Alistair. Since I'm more concerned with modifying scenes (or patches), rather than using the program for live performances, I guess MainStage would be the way to go.
Hi again. Mainstage will not allow you to modify scenes on the Aerophone as such. It’s used to access external sounds from a Mac. Just wanted to make sure you understood that?
@@isax.academy Sorry, since I just got my AE-20 a few days ago I'm still trying to figure things out. I delved a bit deeper into the Aerophone Pro Editor, and see it does pretty much everything I need it to, so for now I'll stick with that. Too bad there isn't a Mac/PC version though!
One thing you’ve never covered is how to add backing tracks to synth programs like Camelot. Is there something on UA-cam that covers how to do this? I do have a keyboard, but it’s nothing fancy. Thanks.
Hi. Unfortunately the Zenology within Zenbeats does not currently allow editing in the Matrix so we have to use a host application like Camelot to access the full version of Zenology in order to make these edits.
Is it possible to play supernatural sounds from my AE-10 in Camelot Pro? I have been unsuccessful in recreating supernatural sounds using the Zencore sounds. I have been able to get some great Zencore synth sounds using instructions from your 3rd Zencore video, but my woodwind sounds are much inferior to the AE-10 internal sounds. Is there a solution? Thanks.
I think there are plans to introduce audio inputs in Camelot but I’d say in your situation you don’t need Camelot to do anything here. Just have your AE-10 directly to your amp?
@@isax.academy Thank you for the reply. Yes, you are correct. Audio inputs are now available in Camelot Pro (V 2.1). I successfully learned how to set up an audio input for the AE-10 in Camelot Pro this afternoon, using a Focusrite audio interface. I'm still working on getting the volume levels balanced from song to song between midi input vs audio input. I am making progress.
@@isax.academy can you please make a video on this ?I thin can be helpful for clarinet player. Is there any chance in future firmware update of ae-10 to have same clarinet fingering as ae-30? thanks

Thanks so much for the kind comment and long may you continue to enjoy the Aerophone.
As a PC user who can't use Mainstage, I was very excited to learn about Camelot. Great video, thanks!
Glad it helped.

Yes indeed.

Hi there.
You should be able to get Camelot from Audio Modelling website.

I’m asking something similar. Does Zenology allow us to layer different sounds, to make chords, for example. I liked hearing that effect when Alistair did it on the pro model.
Yes this is possible. If you watch the third video I do touch on this.
Nice work friend. Is it possible to use Camelot in my Ipad? Thanks in advance
Yes indeed but as I said in the video you can’t use Zenology Pro on the iPad.

Given a choice which program would you rather use with an AE-20, Camelot or MainStage?
Good question. I’ve been a Mainstage user for many years so I do tend to revert to that. However on some gigs Camelot on iPad is perfect.

Hi. Do you mean just adding an mp3 backing track?
@@isax.academy Yes, I guess I do. How does one create a backing track, or find one, and then add it to Camelot?

Thank you so much for all the extremely useful information. If you don’t mind me asking do you write your own backing track drums bass etc.?
It’s a mixture. I do mostly my own but others are from the internet or made from loops.
@@isax.academy they sound really nice. What system, loops are you using? Logic? Or something else? Sorry for the questions, I’m new to DAW, thank you!
