A new 2013 Fiesta cured me of Ford loyalty. Stranded 6 times; 3 rebuilt transmissions, catastrophic A/C failure, electrical problems. I was so good at diagnosing failures on this car, the dealership offered me a mechanic position. I said that I didn't need that kind of job security! Now own a Honda Accord Hybrid and a Subaru Outback. Outstanding vehicles!
I learned how to drive a 3-on-the-tree probably before you were driving yourself! I tried to buy a stick shift Fiesta but the dealer offered me $ incentives to buy the junk. Ford - never again!
A few years back I rented a 2018 Rogue. That wimpy 4-cylinder engine connected to that nightmare of a transmission could not collectively get out of their freakin' way! What an underwhelming driving experience! 100% perfect for that boring point A to point B rental appliance.
And also 2024 Toyota Tacoma with 2.4 turbo hybrid with one of the least reliable vehicles, the transmission failure, axle failure, the clutch break down after 40k miles
Happens more around 100k. Which isn't much if you're car is being used normal to heavy. Also sort of bad if you want something that will last 300k like a Toyota or Mazda. But you're more likely to get lucky in a Nissan over something like a Hyundai or Kia.
I have 2 nissans with the CVT transmission and had zero issues. 2014 pathfinder hybrid has over 120k. I flushed it at 75k. Recommendation for service was changed from 150K to 75K.
The early CVTs are the bad ones. Nissan (Jatco) improved their CVT in '17 and more improvements in '18. Renault and Carlos Gohsn absolutely murdered the Nissan brand!!
I think it's really interesting, that u.s. made models in general are worse, than produced almost anywhere else! European Ford models lasts, same goes for Audi limousines...
My s.i.l. still drives a 2013 Focus with 222000 Km and it runs great. Yes there were problems with the double clutch transmission (the only one), however, the dealer replaced the clutches and provided a nice loaner each time. The last, 3rd, time was 90000 Km ago so I presume they finally came up with “the” solution. All makes have problems. It’s how the manufacturer/dealer handles them that counts. Our case the example is 👍. Example of very bad: Toyota refusing to replace faulty hybrid cables😡
REQUEST - not all cars of cerain types are weak? As example - - - the A6 was knocked in its entirety, but the same engines and transmissions are also used in othe Audis, VWs OR the Jatco CVT in the Nissans is a mess, but the same car in manual is much more reliable🙄🤔 please be more specific
Renault and Carlos Gohsn murdered the Nissan brand!! They cut costs by using cheaper parts and cheaper labor by manufacturing in Mexico. Nissan was "rescued," but it was temporary. The CEO, higher ups, and the shareholders made millions while product quality suffered - specifically that garbage CVT transmission from '07 - '16!!
The usual suspects Niissan Volkswagen Ford and of course Kia tge makes we get in Australia but there is a couple of people movers (mini vans) available in Australia that are Hybrids but they are Toyota's and we all know how reliable the Hybrid Toyota's are
So why would you put up a headline about a “big class action” law suit against GM regarding “faulty transmissions” when your topic of unreliability was fuel/ignition system? Kind of shoddy and misleading!
From my experience all Ecoboost Mustang's and any Automatic Paddle Shifters Transmissions EcoTech are made the same way as Ecoboost and I call them EcoTragic. 🧖♂️👍🏎🏁🚩 V8's with the 3rd Fun Pedal 4, 5, 6, or 7 Speed Manual Transmission Yes! 7 like the 2018 to 2019 C7 Corvette with the 3rd Fun Pedal 7 Speed Manual Transmission, Aston Martin also made it, as well as the Recent Porches. 🧖♂️👍🏎🏁🚩⛰️🌲🏞🧗

Ouch …
Well, if you could learn to drive stick, that would have taken care of one thing

mine was a Pontiac Bonneville... GM loyalty ... all used up.
From my old man's 8/6/4 Caddy to my '14 Vette, cylinder deactivation does not seem worth the effort/fuel savings

Talks about the Fiesta auto trans being an issue and then shows a ST with a 6 speed
Over 240K miles on my Toyota/Aisin K313 CVT!
I’m not wild about the Altima but my partner has a 2019 Altima and hasn’t had a single problem with it.

Nissan improved the CVT in '17 and more improvements in '18. A '19 should be fine.
@@vintagehaynesflute I have a 14 pathfinder hybrid with no CVT issues.
The VW is now known as Volkswagen Chaos.
Any of the Nissan CVT's are crap. The delivery service I worked for had 3 Nissan versa's. 2 of them suffered transmission failure before 40K miles

Can we bring back the Yugo?
No
Or the van--Wego
Audi recalled the alternators on the A6 and A6 Allroad. Audi will swap them out for free for the affected model years.

Video idea, most reliable and unreliable muscle cars ever
Can you add chevy sonic to this lol

Most problems with cars & Trucks in the past 20 years are caused by Gov. Mandates.
Maybe I joined the video too fast but I have all audio and a black screen
Why was this video pretty much similar to the SUV one ? These are partially SUVs in here not cars
I'm not surprised with Ford..... But what the hell happened to Nissan?!?!
Renault bought Nissan in 1999
@koki84ji7 yeah but does that mean the CVTs are Renault?!
