Glad it was helpful! If you're going to Zakynthos, please let the viewers know how it went and what you liked most. Would love to hear about your trip. Have fun!
Thank you for the compliments. I think as a solo traveler, you kinda have to think of everything as you have no one else to rely on, right? 😃 Being a woman just helps even more. 😉
Great question, and thanks for providing the video time stamp. That is Porto Vromi Beach. It's on the northwest side of the island, south of Shipwreck Beach. Zakynthos has many of these beautiful, pocket beaches you drive or walk down to. This particular beach has a food stand as well. Google can find you more info on it if you wish.
I can’t decide in which town/village should we stay. We are going for 4 nights in October. We want nice beach, tavernas, and some sightseeing. Travelling in a budget. We found a nice cheap hotel in Laganas but afraid that will be too noisy in the night as we are not party people at all. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance
This is a very good question. It was the same quandary I had before visiting. If you're on a budget but not renting a car, you're going to want to stay within 10-15 minute from the airport I would think. Off the top of my head, Zante Town has restaurants and shops and you can take the bus to beaches near by for the day; or, you can take the bus or a taxi to Laganas Beach for your stay. I'm sure your hotel is walking distance to the beach and there are restaurants and bars on the beach and nearby. I'm not a clubbing person either and stayed in Laganas in September and it was really quiet at my hotel, which I highly recommend. I'm sure Laganas it will be more so in October. I just released my Zakynthos 3 Day Itinerary if you want to take a look: ua-cam.com/video/BM6pGMCW_Cg/v-deo.html If you want to go out at night for dinner or whatever, I would just ensure to stay where you have options to go to in October. Zakynthos, like other Greek islands, may have establishments start to shut down. It's also possible bus routes may run less frequently - possibly, I'm not sure - due to slow down in travel season. Ultimately, ask your hotel about these things and get their recommendations on where to go, what to do at that time of year with or without a car. I'm sure they can help fill in the blanks. I hope this helps!

We are going on some boat tours where we will be going to the beach and snorkeling. As someone who has not traveled very much, what are we supposed to do with our purse/passport when we are snorkeling/at the beach? Is it safe in the boat? Is the hotel safe a good choice?
Hello! This is a wonderful question and I'm glad you asked. As an international solo traveler for 29 years (and still going!), this is what I do and recommend and it's never failed me: First, never go out with your passport on you. Always keep it, and your extra credit cards, cash and valuables, in your hotel safe/hostel locker. Instead, make a color photo copy of your photo and signature passport pages and either laminate it or wrap with clear, packing tape, and carry this with you daily, along with your valid driver's license (as your 'official ID'), one credit card and some cash. As for beach going, boating, etc., only bring the essentials with you. Leave all else in your hotel/hostel. Note, I write for solo travelers and have a full list of beach tips here if you're interested: www.corrtravel.com/how-to-do-a-solo-beach-trip-tips/ You can see from that post, I use a waterproof waist pouch when I go into the water. I have a link to it (and other great Greece travel essentials) in this video's description but am providing it here for your convenience: amzn.to/4bb6Omt I personally use this pouch all of the time - from Maui to Croatia to Greece - and LOVE it. The trick is to only put in your phone, credit card, ID, cash and hotel key. That's it. You can leave other non-essentials (sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.) on the beach or boat. These pouches can pack alot (I've even put in my camera and other items in it), but the slimmer it is, the easier it is to snorkel and swim. I highly recommend it for any beach trip. From a boat, you could leave your valuables on the boat if you wish, but this is at your own risk and discretion. I only do so for a brief moment while I take video. So far, I have found people on boats have been honorable and have had no theft issues. The fewer people on the boat, the better. Still, I Ieave this to your discretion. Do not feel weird if you want to wear the waste pouch swimming/snorkeling from the boat. Some people do. Traveling stress-free is important, too, right? Hanging on the beach, NEVER leave your essentials unattended. Wear the waste pouch always. I hope this was helpful. Please post back if you used the waste pouch in Zakynthos and how you liked it, and your Zakynthos trip in general, for the other viewers. We love good feed back here! Have fun!
@@CORRTravel Thank you so much for this! It was extremely helpful! I purchased the water proof bag from the link that you sent. Again, thank you so much for your assistance!
@@jenniferd2094 You're most welcome. I hope the water proof pouch will provide ease of mind you have your belonings safe while you get to do all of the water activities you want to in Zakynthos. Have a great time!
Hi! My gf and I are going there in July! What car rental did you use, and is it one you can recommend? I’m a bit lost for which affordable rentals to choose! Thanks 😇
Actually, I don't recall as my hotel, Cactus Hotel, arranged it for me. I would recommend reaching out to your hotel for assistance and recommendations, including pick up and drop off locations. I hope that helps!
Yes, it can be for some. This is why I took care to provide some good accommodations that are not near the strip. I stayed at the Cactus Hotel and it was quiet the time of year I was there. Now that I have been to Zakynthos and traveled all around the island, I think my next trip I'll stay further north in a quieter village. :-)
A beautiful island.Must visit. I also loved the food section.😀
Thank you so much. Yes, it's a lovely island. You will like it! 😉

What is the name of the beach you show at around 21:05 - 21:09? It's lovely!

We about planning to go there but wasn’t sure it will be perfect for family can you tell me if it’s suitable for kids too.thanks
If your kids like the beach and water activities, they'll love it!
