Been going to Kalamaki for 20 yrs & and fell in love with it instantly. Last time I was there was 2022, so looks like there a few new places for me to try in 18 days & counting! Stayed at the Antonis a few times it's a great family run hotel. All the times I've been there & only found the Iguana bar time we were there due to your video so thanks for your videos guys. Staying at the Golden sun this time around.

I'm watching this from the Golden Sun resort and spa. With over a week to go there's a lot to do. Elles place is the best restaurant alongside Zakanthi. Definitely going on the fun train and would love to see the blue caves. Maybe I'll try my hand at the travel blog. Thanks for making this.

Ah, that was a brilliant episode yous two! We loved the Puzzle Restaurant,!.. been there every year since 2012! The lady who ran it was just lovely to us. The Look-up Bar where we met up for a few Beers in 2022, just our Favourite Bar on the Island..Bar None! is now no more?! Such a shame as Tasos Tranakas the owner put So much into it, it deserved a Lot more custom than it got,. Probably due to the out of sight location above a Very Busy Restaurant. Had some great times in the Look-Up, and will never be forgotten, .. actually brought a tear to my eye! Great Drone Video by the way, you're really getting the hang of this now! Another great video! Remedy is definitely a new bar! I think it’s first year was last year as I remember seeing it and we go to Kalamaki every year.. We love the bakery too! Surprised you never mentioned Greek Stories restaurant that only opened last year. Absolutely amazing meal we had there and the owner and staff were really welcoming!

Hi guys, love your videos. I went September 2023 and the Remedy cocktail bar had just opened, little bit expensive than the others but okay. Went for a meal in the Greek stories taverna very nice and reasonable. Sad to hear look up bar has closed, enjoy your vacation guys.
Hi Jamie and wife forgot your wife’s name ? Well yet another great video well presented and documented, it’s like being there when you both show us around kalamaki.We go every year and yes there are some more different places opening up. Some of the bars and restaurants aren’t there long before being taken over by someone else must be difficult to earn a living in the current climate. Those sun beds have rocketed up in price 20 euros is expensive and it seems there aren’t many takers now also the hotels have had there tourist tax doubled at the Macedonian it was 21 euros last year now we have been told it’s 42 euros this year . Well once again thank you for a well documented and presented video we look forward to the next one.👏👏👏🙏

Kalamaki has changed a lot since I was first there in 2008, same layout but places have changed. And yes, the sunbeds are ridiculous now. Not sure of its just there at the old Beach Taverna or if other parts of the beach charge the same.
I always stay at the Marelen facing the Louros. Kalamaki has changed lot since 2018 for the better. Absolutely love Pandesia so glad its still open and thriving

FYI, Remedy Bar which is now run by our friend Skopy who used to be in Drunk Corner, was formally Fergus Sings the Blues I think you’re right about Nectar cafe bar, I’m sure it was Puzzle Restaurant Yes the full English at the Airport Cafe is definately very good, & the walk back afterwards burns off the calories 👌🏼 We can also recommend Sizzle & Grill next to Buon Amici which is also great, hope you get to the Cave Bar on your next trip, it really is beautiful, & finally if ever book Sofias apartments you’ll love it there, that’s where we stay 😎 Look forward to your next video guys, look after yourselves Andy & Ally Swansea
Thank you Andy. Yeah,thought Remedy was Fergus Songs The Blues. Had read a few recent bad reviews about Sofias so opted against it, plus the price kept creeping up. The TUI released a new batch of holidays, which is how we ended up at Hotel Macedonia. No complaints about the place.

Great vlog Not sure I’d be struck on Kalamaki Doesn’t look very traditional, reminds me of Sidari in Corfu with bars called the Rose and Crown and the Indian/Chinese etc. Looking forwards to comparing Alykanas to Corfu in a couple of weeks
heavens kitchen was amazing 13 years ago, last time i was there, and tazzies was used many a time as the food was delish. heavens kitchen, i had the kleftiko and it was also delish.

@markdouglas2035 we personally haven't done any boat trips from Kalamaki. Have heard the sunset trip is good though. Apparently Nefis Travel do some good trips so they may be worth hunting out.
Lovely to see how its changed. We visited Kalamaki many years ago when we first met. Think it was about 1995/6. We stayed in cavo d'oro and it looked very different. We are thinking of returning to Zante next year. Just so many places to holiday it's hard to choose but videos like this really help.

Trying to remember the name of that restaurant (puzzle). Got me and the wife thinking/discussing/arguing. Over the various restaurants that have changed over the years. For example Greek stories used to be fanari and also something else. Bull horn was yamas. But before that it was like an Italian style restaurant. (Around 2004) I can’t remember what Ellie’s place was before she took it over after working at ambrosia. Just wondering if any of you kalamaki lovers can remember any of these older places. Think there used to be one called two brothers near the rose and crown. And there was about three yo-yo’s cafes doted around.
@@continentalcoxons it was nice to see the bar open again at the side of tazies (I await your review of that). I think it used to be some Australian themed night club. But has been derelict for quite some years. Where back once again in September and looking forward to trying the new places you guys have pointed out. One of the best new bars for me is Laluna on the old road. Really chilled vibe there. And lovely owners.

Aiye remedy bar opened last year. But it was Fergus sings the blue bar before that. My friend skopi who used to work at drunk corner owns it.

It was on our list to try, but we never managed to fit it in. We did get to Tazies though, review of that will be put in a few weeks or so.

There will still be places open but not sure what will be open and what will be closed. We've never been that late in the season before.
Thats odd Kelemis was open when we were staying at Golden Sun in May 6th till 19th. Bus is now €2.00 the bus signs are out of date.

Hello, how long would you say the walk is from the Golden Sun to the start of the strip.
It's not too far, maybe 5 or 10 mins depending on walking ability. Literally at the top of the road from golden sun where airport cafe is.

We've been to Alykes for a holiday before and is lovely. Kalamaki has a lovely feel about the place too though. Yes, a bit bigger but so welcoming.
