    They need to add an option to choose either ally or enemy fields to take priorities in visibility. Or add "simple fields" option.

      Theres the graphics option "Effect LOD" wich is exactly what you want already.

    FFXIV has a reduced allied visual effects modes which only shows important abilities from allies (like healing fields) and hides everything else. Something like this would be useful in GW2.

      There's an option to remove ally vfx from your screen.
      There just isn't an option not to flashbang yourself.

    Thes look pretty good. Worried about spear having "an emphasis on cc" on ele. But, FR, I'm going to die laughing if those new "Turn Down Visual Effects" options dont cull spear skills. 🤣

    Less is more, honestly. I still think the Spellbreaker's daggers have the perfect amount of visual effects.

    so long as we get an overhaul to the aoe marker system itll be fine, soemthing like enemy aues errase/clear player ones e.g. with the reveneat one it would clear out an area of the black/red smog with either empty space or inverts the colour so part of it turns white etc. or a good one having two sliders and check boxes in options that controle how you see aoe effects
    I get covering the ground is a pain to avoid enemy skills but there comes a point when just swining a stick about looks boring wihtout visual effects

    Warrior will be an engage and disengage weapon. You don't have less damage when in ranged, but you'll have more aoe pressure when closer to your target, considering you'll be doing damage to all enemies that are close. And you have one skill to take a few steps back and maintain yourself secure. It's simple, but very nice. I didn't see warriors complaining when they got one of the nicest weapons from SOTO.

      In Average fight enemies don't randomly multiply when they close distance in you.
      1v1 will always be a 1v1 and 2v1 will always be a 2 v 1.
      If you can hit more than three targets at once, that means entire enemy team is throwing.
      Meanwhile in WvW zerg fights you'll still have to use [Signet of Might] to bypass projectile Hate, and rifle simply lets you capitalize on that window of opportunity better.
      While in PvE, every boss is a singular entity, very rarely two, and groups of mele trash mobs are just as easily dispatched with GS or axes.
      Spear has nothing that puts it ahead of a different weapon. If the AoE on skill 1 wasn't diminishing with range it could be better at clearing chaff from distance, but well, it isn't.
      Arena made a "mechanic" that makes everything worse, just so they can say they made a mechanic.

    Agreed, Ranger staff with untamed was already bad enuff. Instead of looking into they seem to be doubling down.

    Gotta love how warrior was the profession with no special mechanic cause you know, they do warrior first for placeholder skills of other professions lmfao.

      Yes especially considering that warriors only class identity is: can weild lots of stuff 😂 yet to stupid to do anything cool with the spear

    If until release warrior spear be weak and clear afterthought I'm gonna search for a new mmo. i can't keep giving money to devs that actively hates my play style.
