I love a cottage garden and I'm all about perennials because I'm 64 and don't want to plant annuals every single year. Thank you for showing us your beautiful garden. Love the solar lighting, too!
Such a relatable video. Sometimes you guys ( you UA-camrs, lol) have such massive spaces and are doing such big projects it’s hard to relate to my suburban lot. But this is what I do…add a couple more perennials as things grow and you see space available. Thanks!
I think your cottage garden is my favorite space 😃 with the coop in the background, and all the different plants coming down the slope 😳 the solar lighting is the cherry on the cake - stunning & magazine worthy 🙌🏻
I love the double Jenny's out there planting-- cool videography-- and at times I am sure you wish you had another Jenny planting. Beautiful gardens. Keep up the great work. :-) Hi from Nash County NC
Love that this beautiful look is mostly all perennials. Annuals definitely have their place but I find myself leaning more on perennials for a year after year show.
I think your cottage garden is my favorite bed you have. Such inspiration! Your whole property landscape is planned out, cohesive, and so tidy. I just love it. I have 38 acres my family moved to and I'm starting from bare bones. I look to you and I'm trying to copy! LOL
I agree with everyone below, love the cottage garden. I also have one, but not as nice as yours. The slope, stairs, lights & that chicken coup, perfect.
Jenny, those Loropetalums are clearly very happy there. I would just limb them up, instead of pruning the canopy. The tree trunks will look very sculptural and create a nice background for your cottage garden. I would transplant the sun-loving plants growing underneath them and start replacing them with more shade tolerant plants. It will look beautiful!
Your garden is growing up so fast! lol I know it can take a little time for the plants to come into all their glory. Thank you so much Jenny & Jerry for bringing us along! The garden is so pretty!😊💖🌸🐝🦋🙌👍
That cottage garden is just so beautiful and with the solar lighting it is just magical, you must have to pinch yourself and the up tree lighting is so stunning.
I have a heritage rose that looks like your princess Ann. It's a huge rose bush. It blooms all spring up until the first frost of fall. On one branch in a cluster there were fourteen flowers. A beautiful pink bouquet fitting for a vase on its own. And they smell like roses,a very heavenly scent that you can catch in the air even if you're feet away from it. I didn't have the heart to cut that bunch cause they were on a large branch that was actually a new shoot that had grown rather fast from the beginning of growing season. It's coming to the end of June, my first flush of roses have come an gone, tho there's some blooming and will continue to, I dead headed what I could reach. Even tho it isn't necessary,I think it really does help them to put on another show of blooms. Right now we're getting a lot of rain ,and roses don't like to be wet. The blooms turn brown quickly when they're wet all day everyday for days. Why I water below. Love my roses. But humid weather in Georgia can cause all kind of fungus and mildew on roses,so I'm careful what I buy when it comes to roses. The heritage isn't printed to these mildew issues. But I still use Neem oil about twice during the growing season. It wipes out pests you don't want, plus stops any mildew or fungus that could happen. Best to nip it in the bud, before you have a problem. Happy gardening to us all.
This area is my favorite !! Thank you for going through the plants and where you bought your garden decor. Very helpful !! The pig and Monarda are so cute. Looks like he's sniffing the flowers.
I love all varieties of agastache. My top favorite is black adder hyssop (only found them at Lowe’s 3 years ago haven’t seen twin since :/. mine gets just over 5 feet tall 3-4 wide. Butterflies and bees go absolutely crazy for it.
Jenny I love your style! You have helped me so much with plant placing in my garden. I am in zone 7b in northern Alabama. I love that you use layman names of the plants. I also love that you read the tags like me! Keep growing and teaching. Loving it in Alabama. The lights really makes your garden standout. I had not thought to use the solar lights in this way. Now I need to get some of those lights!
Cottage garden is beautiful, looks so peaceful. I love the pig and the birdhouses, and frogs on the bike. I saw that on the wind and weather website and have it in my cart. Thanks for the tour of your garden. Love it .😁
Good morning, Jenny☕️ I too love the cottage garden. The chicken coop is going to elevate the area immensely 😍. I love how it’s tiered. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐶
I like the steps. I was going to say they needed to be a tad wider, however with the scale, they appear to be ideal for the space. I so enjoy the diversity in color, size and composition of the plants you have chosen.
I just kept saying over & over how gorgeous this flower bed is! Love the Loropetalums! And how beautiful the chicken structure is in the background - really looking forward to the sound of the girls in the background when you are showing the area in the future.
This garden is just beautiful and fun! Part of its beauty is being on a hill. Love all the different layers! I also enjoy all the whimsical touches you add to your gardens.
Your plants are so far ahead of mine here in Western Massachusetts , my Ruby Spider does not even have buds yet, I have the Siloam Peony Display , too and it’s one of my favorite daylilies. The cottage garden looks great, you did an awesome job
Beautiful garden!! Cottage gardens are my favorite. Was wondering if you would consider doing a video on perennials that live a long time. I believe Peonies and Baptisia do, but would love to know of others that live for years and years. Thank you for all your informative videos. Look forward to your videos in the morning with my cup of coffee.
This is just beautiful! I have to say, catmint is my favorite plant ever. I live in Maine, where it is still only 50 degrees and our summers are short and my catmint blooms through it all. I cut them back at least 3 times and they keep on blooming. Thank you for always sharing zones on plants, I am a 5a and it's nice to know if I can plant them.
Everything is so beautiful. I can't wait for the day I retire and hubby and I take a winter trip to Florida. I've told him numerous times that on the drive home, we have to swing by Dallas, N.C. and although, I wouldn't be able to buy plants since we are in Canada, I could maybe get a little something for the garden from Unique Stone or a birdhouse! ❤🌿🪴🌼
Looking awesome, Jenny. I keep getting a glimpse of that gorgeous ribbon of daylilies in the background. Would love to see a closeup of them. Have a super day!

The colors in your cottage garden are the same as what I'm planning for my front yard with the addition of purples. I'm going for sunset vibes 😊
Love the cottage garden! The new plants are beautiful, adding some different textures and colors.
I would extend your garden down to where the driveway arcs out.
