They need to have every offensive lineman that makes any of these lists presented by a defensive lineman. Between Strahan here and Randle commenting on Larry Allen. So entertaining.
Zach V it should've been Michael Strahan commenting about Larry Allen since he had to go up against him twice a year
Agree, although Jon Randle was great in that feature. Randle is just great overall.
Same goes the other way. Idk I enjoyed Jon Runyan speaking on Strahan
Literally the best. Both Allen and Ogden videos are perfect.
💯 AGREED👍🏿. Both John an Mike who R HOF did a Gr8 representation
Jonathan Ogden and Ray Lewis--that's an outstanding draft!
Hall of fame draft. Wow!!!!
No Ravens super bowl win without it.
Jermaine Lewis was pretty good too.
@@floridagator1765 name another draft where two hall of famers are picked in the same year
Who drafted both of those guys...oh yeah, Bill Belichick. =p.
Anyone else laugh when Michael said "I've never seen a guy with a head as big as Ogden's" and saw his head in the helmet 😂
Fat guy in a little car
I just went to the football hall of fame yesterday and I was thinking the same thing, his bust size was enormous
Jim Plunkett has a big head, actually
Nice to see a lineman get some love!
yes it is
Shnato amen
Check out John Hannah.. He has to be the greatest Left Guard ever..
Kudos, Strahan, for his commentary. His humility is the highest possible praise and makes Ogden's greatness palpable. Strahan is what we all a "true mensch."
Johnathan Ogden was the best offensive tackle I've ever seen. This coming from a huge Steelers fan. He was so big he just dominated defensive ends like Shaq dominated Rik Smits in the NBA Finals. Like Strahan said that he made it look so easy, and he took such pride in his work. Ogden was a road grader type run blocker and an enveloping pass blocker. I know that class isn't used much to describe offensive tackles but Ogden certainly was a classy, team first player who truly fits the term Hall of Famer.
as a OLINEMAN HIS THE SECOND BEST
Respect, you'd never get that from a bengals fan.
Great comment, sir. Respect.
Claude White Thanks from Johnathan's family I'm his cousin
Dr. KitKat He certainly does your family proud. All the best to you and your family.
Scary thing is that Sapp looked like a midget going against him lol
He makes Warren Sapp look small.
Johnny Polo lol ya he’s 6’8-6’9
Hes 6'9
Johnny Polo which makes him so much more terrifying
6'9" 344lbs, enormous
Watching one of the greatest pass rushers ever talk about a tackle with such reverence and humility says it all man. Ogden was a bad bad man!
Hands down the greatest offensive line of all time. Played against lots of great pass rushers in his time and watched them get devoured by him. He's like an obstacle that blocked out the sun for elite pass rushers.
Mmm Joe Thomas was better.
@@MrMowky No.
@@MrMowky LOL, please!
I would throw Larry Allen in the mix.
Ogden and rip og big Orlando brown senior they used to road grade guys being 6’6 330 plus for those early 2000’s ravens teams with Jamal Lewis bruising out out the backfield
I lived in Catonsville, MD (suburb of Baltimore) for 22 years. I moved there in 1986, after the Colts left and before the Ravens arrived. Two funny things I'll never forget, although my mind has probably made the memories more apocryphal than accurate. 1: I remember a season where JO made it to something like Week 10 without a penalty. Not a holding penalty, not a false start, nothing. And then in like Week 11, he gets called for holding and he went nuts on the ref. They showed the replay and it was not a hold. It wasn't even nit-picky, it simply was not a hold. It was clean. 2: the Ravens would have a fan appreciation day, in the new stadium (new then). My wife and I went. They let the fans walk through the locker room. The only thing my wife remembers from that day was the size of JO's cleats, in his locker. She didn't even know his name - she simply said "I've never seen bigger shoes."
1:56 BEST PANCAKE EVER
You could say that the Ravens didn't waste their first 2 picks in franchise history.
Their First offensive pick -- Jonathan Ogden -- HOF lineman.
Their Second pick (I think) -- Ray Lewis -- HOF linebacker
Don't think there will ever be another new franchise in NFL history to have that first draft!!!! Hell of a Job guys! 2000 SB win was earned.
@ 1:55 'I'm getting a sack!!' ....No...you're getting PANCAKED
This man literally blocked for a 2,000 yard rusher.
He deserves way more respect.
Ive been watching a lot of these videis and this strahan fella is by far the best commentator/presenter, he made it all about johnathan ogden and his greatness, kudos Michael , ✊🔥✊
6'9
345 lbs
This dude was practically Shaq's size 😳😳
Bryant McKinney was 6’8” and 330lbs and he stood next to Shaq and looked like his kid!!!!! JO is a Beast, but 6’9” and 340 is still a long way from 7’2” and 400lbs
Crazy how big Shaq is hahaha
Muinoz is #12 on the top 100 list & that's well deserved. He was/is the standard OT's are held up to.
But Ogden... 6'9" 380 lbs.
I'd have to move Munioz to the other side.
These days a lot of teams line up their best pass rusher against the RT so really you need two good pass blockers. No matter where you line them up those are the two I'm taking on my dream o-line.
He weighed 345 lbs not 380
Typically the bigger, stronger tackles plays on the right side
Imagine a team with John Hannah and Ogden on one side.
Plus Munoz and Larry Allen on the other.. but who for a center...
Michael strahan is hilarious 😂😂
Just happy he played for my Ravens
Jr Ryder just to think the Ravens could've gotten Lawrence Phillips. Ravens dodged a hell of a bullet there
And the Ravens were vilified at the time for not taking Phillips by at least one of the sports columnists locally. What a great draft that was for the Ravens, with both Ogden & Ray Lewis.
Word
Jonathan Ogden tapped out on the largest helmet sizes? I don’t think they make helmets lager than what Ogden wore.
As a Raven fan, I wish we had 5 more on the O line......he was special and fun to watch......JO= Badass.....😂
1:55-2:00 That’s football at its finest
Best Left Tackle In Madden 19 🐐 Ogden has protected all of my slow quarter backs for years Haha. This is my guy. Raven had a Gem
1 thing that hasn't been mentioned is that Johnathan Ogden was also 1 hell of a basketball player. that was 1 of the reasons he went to UCLA. To try out for their basketball team as well.
Imagine Ogden and Anthony Munoz at the tackle positions with Larry Allen and John Hannah as the guards on the same offensive line with Lorenzo Neal or the Moose at fullback.... Just imagine the running lanes lol
the ~'97-'98 Broncos had some ridiculous running lanes
Neal was a sledgehammer. He'd get a 5 yard run at the line, then Boom!
More lineman should be shot putting, it helps with leg power, balance, leverage, and arm power.
And Wrestling 👍🏿
Can you imagine a line with Matt burk, Ogden, yanda, and Orlando brown!!!! That line would've been insane
Allen instead of yanda
LOL!!! The commentary is wonderful!
strahan just has it ...i can see why hes on television
He`s best left tackle ever!
No one is gonna comment on how he has his first and last name on his jersey? lol
O LINE ARE THE MOST UNDERRATED PLAYERS!! MORE SHOULD BE IN THE HALL!!!
Ravens so good at drafting hall of famers
Ozzie Newsome was one of the best TE and also one of the best GM in NFL history
He's the best offensive lineman in nfl history should be top ten along with Lewis this position is just disrespectful the him and his career
Nick kaushal Anthony Munoz was the best lineman of all time.
nah munoz was better
Larry Allen is #1 Ogden is #2
John Hannah!
@@thefreshprincer5587 no Munoz 1 allen 2 Hannah 3 ogden 4
My friend who's 6 ft 2 met him he looked like a dwarf next to him .... there has never been anyone that big that had that type of footwork and mobility .... I'm a die hard Giants fan but JO was prob best left tackle ever
Keith Falconer Thanks from his family I'm his cousin
He was a nightmare at UCLA. He would destroy his first blocking assignment and head downfield. Defensive backs would look up and see him coming and run for their lives !
😂
Good on you NFL
Beast, one of the best.
way underrated... I don't care what anyone says, Munoz and Ogden were the best
NFL history lore- Jonathan Ogden is the only player in NFL history who’s head was bigger than his helmet...
One of the best I have ever seen
As a Steelers fan i really appreciate respect and i acknowledge Mr.Ogden
Jonathan Ogden was a badass like for real he's a awesome tackle 1996 nfl draft 1st Round 4th overall pick out of UCLA a two time super bowl champions and a Hall Of Famer now
I met him In person at big wangs Hollywood very nice guy !
For sure the G.O.A.T
RAVENSNATION!!!!!
Just pulled his 99 overall Card in Madden 19 last night!
Best lineman left tackle ever
debate is Joe Thomas in this top 100 next time they make this ?
has to be
no
definitely
tyron smith
Antbeast23 he won't make it
That is a true big man.
Bro Michael Strahan is hilarious 🤣
michael strahans teeth look like a middle school dance where the girls stand on one side of the gym and the guys stand on the other
- jimmy kimmel mean tweets
😭😭😅😅😅😅
RubLox That's right the mean Tweets
RubLox lol
_"Michael Strahans teeth look like..."_
______
But it works for him.
I recall when Ogden played on the enormous UCLA offensive line they were often referred to as The Huge Corporation.
Munoz looked better, but in his era some DEs were 240/250 lbs. not fair to compare across decades. But would oth have been awesome if they had switched eras! Of course.
D lineman actually got smaller in the last 20 years
The Ravens have had so many great players and people in their short existence. Most of Cleveland's greatest players and accomplishments came before colored television.
Imagine playing on the D Line and you have Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden Infront of you with Jeff Saturday as the Center.
I’m diving every play F that lol
Michael Strahan usually had his way against whoever he had to go against. But Jonathan Ogden always had his way with Michael Strahan. And that was nothing but high praises Michael Strahan said about him and that's great
This dude made it to the pro-bowl every season except his rookie one. Damn.
Stahan stole the show here with the commentary.
Saw Jonathan Ogden at the PGA event in Owings Mills two years ago. I'm not an inch taller than 5'7, I literally thought to myself - God plays favorites.
This dude is a Coke Machine with legs...falling on you...ouch 😬
Ogden and Tony Siragusa were the two "old guard" Ravens that you would not want to land on you.
@@CharlesUrban Absolutely right
He was tall 6'8 that amazing
JONATHAN OGDEN WAS GREAT IN TOP 100: NFL 'S GREATEST PLAYERS IN 2010 !!!!
That was awesome
Greatest LT ever
Him and Willie Roaf were a legit wall
I like Roaf but think Walter Jones and Orlando Pace were better
1:25 Illegal hands to the face, offense , number 75
*****
i know bro, i was just playin'
+Dick Fitzwell is that the players fault or the executives?
Victor M. Didn't grab the mask look closely
Starting Left Tackle on NFL’s all 100 year team...Jon Ogden..no debate needed..
Strahan made me smile.
He makes warren sapp look like a child 😂
Strahan still feeling that Super Bowl loss against Ogden 🤣🤣
Its kinda crazy cause it doesn't even look like he plays with a ton of leverage. Looks like he's standing straight up while blocking.
Ogden over Larry Allen is RIDICULOUS!
Nah man Larry should’ve been higher but I got Ogden number two LT of all time so he should be higher overall
@@layziehorse72 not even close! Smh…
@@_DB.COOPERbeing one of the best tackles ever definitely should be ranked higher than the best guard ever. Tackles simply matter more
1:56 was crazy
Fr
Man Ogden is the best Offensive Lineman in the history of football, 72 is so disrespectful.
Does anyone know the music starting at 0:33?
WhereEaglesDare117 Blockbuster- autumn thunder from NFL films music
What are some tips on guard any pros or college players or high school players with d1 offers have any Tipps
He should be a top 15 nfl player. There will never be another left tackle like him.
Ogden served up more pancakes than a busy IHOP.
And when Ogden was drafted some Ravens fans actually booed. They wanted Lawrence Phillips
Why does it seem like all legendary o-lineman have the personality of a teddy bear?
Gentle Giants
Some highlights would be nice. I'd rather see pancake blocks than touchdowns.
He handled Sapp. Lol
Big boys are BEASTS!!!
In the top five all time. The Mt Rushmore would have Larry Allen, John Hannah, Jim Parker and the magnificent Anthony Munoz. Ogden belonged in that quintet. Big, powerful and as efficient as a Swiss Watch. Guarding the blind side. When the movie The Blind Side was made about Michael Oher there were comparisons to Jonathan Ogden. One player remarked that there is only one "The Man." He was clearly referring to Ogden. A true "Man Among Boys" in his fabulous career.
0:33 name of music please.
JO was a monster on the field......wouldn’t be beat, we also had Zeus and McKinney.........Go Ravens 😃
What’s the music name?
what song is that at beginning
🐐🐐
1:56 was that a hold/tackle penalty?
That guys teeth don't share the same post code
Sam Spence-Blockbuster
Unique seeing his full name on the Uni.
lmaoooo sapp got own
He had major problems with Dwight Freeny in his prime but everyone else he destroyed.
No he didn't had 2 sacks in 2 games vs him
If I was a QB or running back I would love JO
1:22
This Ravens logo is SO MUCH BETTER than that stupid, goofy Heckle & Jeckle looking crap.
GO BACK THE SHIELD & WINGS !!!
Jonathan Ogden laughed at his opponents. That’s all you need to know about Ogden’s impact.
Why is he 72 ? Nah he should be top 10
Johnathon Ogden Vs Dwight Freeney was one the best matches ever Freeney was the only one who was able to challenge him
Jonathan Ogden vs Jason Taylor was another great match up
Dwight Freeney only had two sacks against the Ravens in the two games that they played each other
