Catalyst browse is the reason why I’ll stick to Sony cameras for a while. The difference is night and day. Hopefully we’ll see better stabilization soon on mirrorless cameras.
I'm so glad I chose the ZV-E10 over the X-S10. I've also been experimenting with different picture profiles in low, mixed light vlogging scenarios. I have found that if I just want to set it and forget it, I get the best footage if I set the exposure comp to +1.3-2.0 using HLG3 in manual mode with auto ISO and use the Leeming Lut in post. It will blow out the sky at times when you set it to prioritize faces for exposure, but it does better in my opinion than no picture profile or corrective LUT. I need to do more experimenting with this when there's more light but I work during the daylight hours so daylight is hard to come by this time of year.

Catalyst Browse has killed the Gimbal and rendered pretty much every other industry standard IBIS systems useless!!! Sometimes its the sole reason to choose the ZVE10 over the A6XXX series and even some older sony full frames! Fixed all the issues with the infamous A6XXX sensor like the rolling shutter and ineffective IBIS/OSS
Hey Mark... Quick question because you ran the Sony in Aperture Priority and stabilized with Catalyst Browse. Aren't you supposed to have a shutter speed of 1/200 when stabilizing through Catalyst Browse? So wouldn't it be better to have the Sony in Shutter Priority in a vlogging scenario? Really like to know your opinion because I'm just about to explore dark mummy caves!
catalyst will work pretty well with any shutter speed. ideally you’d want 1/100 or higher, but it works fine at 1/50 or even with changing shutter speed that happens with aperture priority. The thing about aperture priority is that in the daylight the shutter speed will be high anyway bless you had a dark ND filter on. Shutter priority cause some jarring exposure changes on some lenses. so I would either do everything manual or aperture priority.
@@deaafrizal at 1/50 shutter you’ll notice motion blur artifacts. 1/100 is min acceptable for low light situations for stabilization. the body’s do not have IBIS - so no In-Body Image Stabilization. The zv-e10 has a digital stabilization. If a lens has OSS (Optical Steady Shot) then, yes, both cameras will use that lens’ stabilization. In my tests though - it doesn’t do much for video. Better for photos

Hello Mark, Which camera has more accurate colors in your opinion. To me, fuji colors look more natural here. Sony skin tone is too yellow and grass is too green. Is it possible to correct it with in camera settings. Most people who buy these cameras for family videos, like me, will not color grade their footage. In your other video, ZV-E10 Stabilization, i didn't notice yellow skin tone. Do you remember what setting did you use. Great content Thank you
It's something in between. But if you don't plan to colour grade at all - the fuji with the eternal profile or classic neg seems to be a lot of peoples' preference.

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis i would like to see a comparison between the XS10 and the Alternative cameras like Canon M50 or R10/R7 (sorry, I'm not that much into Canon cameras)
Fuji colours 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 i seriously dont understand why on earth people use sony with such horrible colours??? Side by side comparison helped to prove why fujifilm dominates in serious photography.. for all those noob amateur guys who just hold the camera in hand and let camera do everything, definitely sony is for them especially for autofocus.
We don’t realize that sony colors are bad until you see fuji next to it . In Flog fuji is best with their lut provided. The lut used make it look yellowish
Use manual white balance, or know how to set it from a greycard, use ppoff, add a little bit saturation in camera, and use contrast setting according your condition, and it would blow your mind how good zv-e10 sony colors are good. Or use slog2 on good lighting and then color grade it in your taste. Most people who complain about colors just cant use white balance. Manually tweaking it for your own taste makes magic on any camera
Also in this video XS10 performed awful in my taste both on maintaining exposure and focus and white balance. And this stepping thing must be a thing in any reputable camera manufacturer. For me Fuji is too unpolished in this kind of things, that it takes the joy of using the camera as an instrument. You kind a always fighting it a bit. Had no that kind of issues with panasonic at all, and very few with sony apsc. For example: On XS10 you have this beautiful mode dial with custom c1 - c4 settings but it is unusable for video. It just does not remember video settings as resolution, frame rate etc. so it remembers only photo settings. And lots of this kind of dumb and unpolished things. And when you get brand new Fuji camera it is total buggy mess at least first year until you get enough software updates.
If you vlog - you can’t walk around carelessly. The audience will get seasick no matter how good the stabilization is. I am walking slowly in the clips - but that’s it. Nothing special about it

You can get really light and small, though good lenses for the Fuji. It saved me a lot of schlepping during vacation.
Love your all videos.
Love from India ❤️
fuji colors are awesome 👏
Hi Mark can you please suggest a good variable nd filter for the sigma 16mm?
I like the KandF concept - make sure you get the 67mm thread amzn.to/3CTI7eO
Have you done a X-S20 comparison?
Your videos about ZV-E10 have been a great help ever since I bought the camera! I was having a little issue, while using HLG 2/3 , I see some weird blotchy artifacts in my video, it's not there on any PP. I tried looking for it on internet but I didn't find a solution... Can you please look into this, It would be a great help:)
check out my video on hlg3 if you haven’t already. HLG is a different color space that needs to be converted to standard Rec 709 color space. ua-cam.com/video/RVrEQPsFOpE/v-deo.html
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks for replying, I've watched your video on HLG 3 ,and I've followed all the steps, but while filming whenever there is a lot of movement in the frame there are block like artifacts ..
I have been liking the cine2 profile with the LeemingLUT a lot lately. you could try that
Loved the review! Loved the XS10 when I had it! The squirrel at 3:36 freaked me out for a sec 😆
I love my zve10 which makes me love your video~. Sir, your video makes me love my zve10 more.🤣🤣
Great to hear!
Hi, any way of not making sony zv e10 footage not being flipped after u record it?
not sure I follow
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis so you know when you take a selfie on your iPhone for example - the actual image is mirrored/flipped after taking the picture unless you turn that setting off - same with the Sony - when I’m vlogging I can see it normally but then after I look at the recording it’s become mirrored/flip.. I was just wondering if there is an option to prevent the footage becoming mirrored/flipped before having to do it in editing software, Thank you for reading my Q
Hello Mark,
Which camera has more accurate colors in your opinion.
Great content
Thank you
It's something in between. But if you don't plan to colour grade at all - the fuji with the eternal profile or classic neg seems to be a lot of peoples' preference.
4:30 lol funny
🤣
I have noticed that is the white balance is better in sony with auto mode
it is for sure
Sony + Viltrox + Catalist = great (Sony 11mm probably even better.)
À la Indycar c’est pas mal, 2 groupes puis fast 6, ici en f1 ça serait plutôt fast 5
So which one is the best
Depends on the person, but if you’re going to walk with and talk - zv-e10. If you’re putting the camera on a tripod - it’s up to you.
That intro line was a zinger hahahaha!!!
🤣
In your comparison the Sony does look miles better. Thanks for the video Mark.
seems to auto white balance better I must say
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I would agree
Btw, if I you didn't have so many videos to do already I think I just gave you another one 😂😂😂.
Hi Barry. You're the person who showed me how to tweak my webcam settings with OBS that got me started on my camera journey and eventually landed me on Mark's channel and the ZV-E10, 11mm F/1.8, Crane M3 in my office next to my computer with Davinci armed with the Leeming Lut! I haven't seen a video from your channel pop up on my feed lately so I'll need to make sure the notification bell is turned on! UA-cam communities are awesome! Hope you are well!
@@TimBrownTown Awesome Tim, I am so glad to hear that. Unfortunately, that's the way UA-cam works until Mark and I reach a 100K subs. Someone one like you will watch and the video that plays next is usually 100K or more 🤣🤣🤣. Mark is great, I found him about a year ago. I have Sony but I was thinking of switching my main camera to Panasonic and I did based on feedback from Mark.
I am really enjoying your videos and your funny moments 😀
good to hear!!
Hello Sir i'm a great fan of urs and also zve10 s. & i'm an aspiring filmmaker 😊 my priority is random portrait kind of videography... And I'm loved those fuji colours and quality but wile came to the autofocus and exposure jump on fuji.. is it possible to maintain that randomness in quality?. Or zve10 is the better choice.?
Zv e10 one of the best little beasts. Beer man
I am surprised. I thought the fugi colors would look better but Sony looks better to me.
Yes - the zv-e10 seemed to be autowhite balancing better - I think that was a big part of it
Hey Mark, Hercules just called... he said he wants his strength back you beast! :P
should grow my hair out again and take Samson’s as well
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Does that make you Delilah? 😛
4:52 Squirrel!!
lol
LEGEND, Thank You
Timing Mark !!! i love zve10 but a friend recommended Fuji xs10.. but I am getting my zve10 soon !!! Thanks 🙌
There both great - depends on what you're looking for.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis yes !!! Thank you !!! 🙌🙌
Hi Mark, been watching your handsome face a lot lately😂
How could you not??
DO XS10 VS Z30, PLEASE!!!
I see this as a draw since the benefits you got on the ZV-E10 aren't relevant for me
But I'm making the decision and I'll pick the Fuji because of that Viewfinder
It's a better hybrid camera
yes, and a better studio cam if you have an external recorder. I’ll get into that in another video
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis i would like to see a comparison between the XS10 and the Alternative cameras like Canon M50 or R10/R7 (sorry, I'm not that much into Canon cameras)
ZV-E10 rocks!
it does
X-T30 vs ZV E10 still happening?
I only had the X-S10 - there was never and X-T30 in the works, but I can always try to get one in
Same sensor minus the stabilization. Why bother testing x-t30.
What about xs20
I’m trying to get one it
Fuji colours 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 i seriously dont understand why on earth people use sony with such horrible colours??? Side by side comparison helped to prove why fujifilm dominates in serious photography.. for all those noob amateur guys who just hold the camera in hand and let camera do everything, definitely sony is for them especially for autofocus.
I do like Fuji colours, but if you shoot in raw, the brand won’t matter much at all.
That wobble is really bad! Wonder what the deal is.
when you hav good ibis on th cameras, you can get wobble with wide lenses. happ NAS with Fuji, Panasonic and Canon
We don’t realize that sony colors are bad until you see fuji next to it .
In Flog fuji is best with their lut provided. The lut used make it look yellowish
Fuji has some great colours. some prefer the Sony warmer tones, but it’s personal preference
I am living in Asian country how can I shoot 4k 60fps with my Sony ZV-E10 camera ?
You cannot shoot 4k 60 with a zv-e10. Look at the GH5 for that - it has terrible autofocus - but if you manually focus - it’s amazing
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis
It's humble request to make a detailed video about best setting for Real Estate videography with Sony ZV-E10 camera
I use Sony...but it disappointing. Fuji is good option
thank you for Share
You bet
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis zve 10 i like it. but now i don'have
You seem to be walking stiffly somehow. I would prefer you to move naturally in a stabilization test, and faster.
If you vlog - you can’t walk around carelessly. The audience will get seasick no matter how good the stabilization is. I am walking slowly in the clips - but that’s it. Nothing special about it
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis ok, and i think x-s10 picture shakes a bit. Why? He got ibis? Is this ibis bad or what? :)
Got canon something like Sony catalyst
No - canon dose not record gyro data as of now. But the stabilizer in DaVinci Resolve works pretty well
test the rolling shuter please 😃
will do

What a piece of shit this X-S10!!! Thanks for the comparison man! 👍
Ha - well maybe not a piece of shit - but you do have to use it the right way. Vlogging might not be it’s strongest suit
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis No doubt, except wobble footage, non perfect autofocus performance and poor lens selection, Fuji is a great camera :DD
