  • Apologies for Haworth spelling error on title to video.
Haworth Moor walk was during the summer months on a very hot day. Starting from Peniston Hill Country car park, with blustery winds we climbed up on Haworth Moors. The heather was spectacular everywhere. Then another climb up to Top Withins with its ruins linked to Bronte sisters. Final section was Bronte Way with heritage sites of Bronte Bridge and almost hidden Bronte waterfalls.

Amazing how the land has remained intact and undeveloped unlike here in the US where every open space here will have a strip mall or a housing development or something unpleasant to look at. One can feel time standing still in these moors and vastlands. Gives such a sense of peace

Thanks Jay. We too, unfortunately, are finding more rural parts under housing developments. We are lucky with some countryside still free to explore.

I do love your musical compositions Shanita, always find them very relaxing, and your music here was no exception. You captured the beauty of Haworth Moor very well in this, loved seeing all the purple heather. Top Withins looks a very pleasant spot too with that old ruin and the tree next to it. Great film again, thanks for sharing. Here's to 2021 being a great year for you, as for us all. Cheers, Patrick 😀

Thanks so much for your positive comments on film and music. Feedback always welcomed. I find composing music therapeutic and can take ages or not long. But having a library of tracks helps in keeping up with quite a few walks. Thanks also for New Year good wishes. Hoping you also have a great year in 2021 for your excellent filming productions. Cheers. Shanita

Looks a nice walk and love it around here. I live in the area.
My only gripe is when the titles spell the place incorrectly. Not Howarth but Haworth.

Hi Dave. Thanks for comments and for watching. I can understand your gripe about the mis-spelling title of Haworth. However if you check out, I did actually put apology and correction on the video title in the description above. If you read the video description you will see the error had been noted.

The problem is that the burning of the moor for grouse shooting contributes vastly to the flooding down stream. Look at Hebden Bridge and Todmorden
