Countryside Walking
United Kingdom
Приєднався 3 жов 2016
Countryside Walking is inspired by scenic landscapes, natural wildlife and love of filming. Walking routes cover areas in the North West, Lancashire/West Yorkshire and beyond. Most routes are within easy reach of Rochdale Greater Manchester Lancs. Whilst I do both the filming and music production side, Michael supports my walks with navigations and extensive knowledge of areas. (Map info is for guidance only, so please check out first.)
Most films provide information on history, archaeology, or geological features, even myths and legends. My filming is very much fly on the wall, or in the moment. Also my love of composing and recording music, I use as soundtracks for my videos. I therefore have another channel focusing entirely on original music via - youtube.com/@Instrumentalmusic68 or from banner youtube icon.
Hope you enjoy watching.

Hartshead Pike, Medlock Trail, Tameside Oldham
This was a short circular walk with a lot crammed in. Taking a track out of Park Bridge Tameside ou route followed the Medlock River and Valley. With an unexpected abrupt end to the footpath, with only way out was over a stile into a field with no directions to guide us. After that, the lack of signposted trails and missing boundary fields hindered much of our walk. This meant getting lost quite a few times much to Michael's annoyance.
The Rocher Vale itself, was exceptionally lovely with a deep gorge and valleys below us. Apart from that Hartshead Pike was bathed in sunlight. Ideal for a lunch stop before continuing back without further hindrances.

Kirklees Valley Circuit & River Irwell/Sculpture Trail (Burrs Country Park)
Переглядів 38421 день тому
We began our walk from Burrs Country Park, just outside Bury. Following a varied route through fields, hamlets and woodlands towards Tottington, Summerseat circling back down the River Irwell and Sculpture Trail. Although a short walk, we seemed to pack in a lot. There were canals, rivers and landmark features such as the Wishing Stone and sighting of the East Lancs train. The main issues were ...
Pendle Heritage & Barrowford Trail

We managed this walk on one of the few hot days this summer. It was an easy leisure walk from Pendle Heritage Centre. Starting with a look around the gardens, woodlands, museum and farm yard before getting underway. From Barrowford Park along Pendle Waters we headed towards the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. A circular walk taking us back to Pendle Tea Rooms, a perfect end to a leisure enjoyable day ...
The Plunge, Edenfield, Dearden Brook, Rossendale
Переглядів 225Місяць тому
The Plunge is near Edenfield village on the Rossendale Borders. It's off the A680 from Rochdale and the A56 from Rawtenstall Bury not far from Manchester. Road parking is not easy to find because The Plunge Waterfall is a hideaway gem. I found out there's plenty of myths and legends about the mills and workers, and how the water was used to power the Mill, (now ruins.) We must have passed this ...
Blackstone Edge Reservoir Circuit, Littleborough, Lancashire
Переглядів 3862 місяці тому
Our Blackstone Edge Reservoir Circuit was easy and level tracks to follow just under 9miles. We passed four reservoirs in all, Blackstone Edge, Light Hazzles Edge, Warland and White Holme Reservoirs. Also a sighting of Withens Reservoir. Starting from The White House, there's a lower public car park (deep pot holes to avoid if you can). The track follows part of the Pennine Way before turning o...
Staithes Harbour & Scaling Reservoir, North York Moors National Park
Переглядів 1572 місяці тому
This was a bit of a tourist holiday in two parts on the same day. Firstly, a pleasant stroll to savour the culture of an ancient fishing harbour at Staithes up in North York Moors. The second stop off was at Scaling Reservoir not far from Whitby and Saltburn on Sea in the North York Moors. Free parking and picnic benches beside the reservoir were available, but car parking at Staithes was outsi...
Leeds & Liverpool Canal & Haigh Country Park
Переглядів 1902 місяці тому
A semi linear canal walk picking up the Leeds Liverpool Canal from Haigh Country Park.Whilst canal walks can be similar, what struck me on this one was the abundance of wild life both in flowers and bird life. We walked just a short section of the 127 miles of canal. Lovely weather too. I think this has to be the most leisurely stroll in recent walks accompanied by our walker friend Sue. (Many ...

Holme Valley is a familiar area from our previous walks there. Passing through some lovely places with a mix of terrain and woodland trees. The tracks were easy to follow between the reservoirs with a rather steep climb towards the end. At least the weather changed to a warmer climate than of late. The Stiperstones Ridge, The Bog, Shropshire Way
Переглядів 1953 місяці тому
The Bog Visitors Centre up on The Stiperstones Ridge, had a wealth of information on the history of the area. Also including a lost mining village with a history of 200years of mining. But our focus was mainly navigating over quartzite deposited (around 480 million years ago), to identify the rocky outcrops on the ridge, (The Cranberry Rocks, Manfold Rocks, and the Devil's Chair.) Each outcrop ...
The Long Mynd, Carding Mill Valley, Shropshire
Переглядів 3164 місяці тому
Not far from the start of our walk, there was a steady ascent up the Carding Mill Valley to the Lightspout waterfalls. Underfoot was uneven and precarious in places. Once on top the track levels out and joins The Burway Loop Way. It's an ancient track to the highest part of The Mynd, Pole Bank Cross trigg which is open heather moorland. One of the reasons I was keen to return again to this area...
Caer Caradoc, Church Stretton, Shropshire

Shropshire is a walkers paradise. We managed to fit in three walks during our stay in Church Stretton. The first was a short one up Caer Caradoc hoping to investigate an ancient iron age fort dating back to Roman periods. But howling winds made the ascent up precarious to stand up in with sudden gusts of winds. From our holiday cottage in Church Stretton it was a matter of minutes. Cwms Lane is...
Barrow Bridge, Winter Hill & The Two Lads Cairns

A new area offering ideas for future walks. Starting from Barrow Bridge car park Bolton, this was the nearest point for starting the walk. (Parts of our walk were linear though). This was due to diversions to see The Two Lads Cairns pointed out by a fellow walker. A surprise to find out the area was close to Rivington Pike and Anglezarke Reservoir including a view as far as Blackpool Tower. All...

Scout Moor has been walked by us before, but this time we returned to the other side of the Moor. We stated from Bleakholt (close to the Animal Sanctuary) then ascended up through Dearden Clough before reaching Scout Moor. A local walk but easy access to the Rochdale Canal from Newbold Metro Station/carpark. Our route passed Clegg Hall, Sun Gate hamlet, the popular Hollingworth Lake, then the impressive Lakewood Viaduct. At the top junction of packhorse routes, we took the track heading towards Milnrow. But with missing the turn off for Newhey, our short circular walk ended up nearly 11miles. Hence a quick stop o...

Rivington Terraced Gardens is situated in parkland grounds just off Rivington Lane. Our visit was on a dismal wet day, and not finding a plan of the grounds, we weren't clear which one to take up. As parked at the Barn Cafe, we began with Rivington Reservoir then eventually (after much guesswork,) found an entrance to the Japanese Gardens. The series of Terraced Gardens themselves, were expansi...

Ennerdale Water & Ennerdale Bridge, Lake District
The Pike was built in 1863 to commemorate the marriage of the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) to Princess Alexandra of Denmark. It's not difficult to find, I used to ride up there aged 10 on my bike from Mossley Road. That would be in 1955 when there was another Queen Regnant on the throne and the Prince of Wales became such in 1956 and invested in 1969.
Yes. I did research the information you mentioned in your comments. Thanks. Appreciated.
With this miserable, gloomy weather we are experiencing, it's nice to see those summery scenes Shanita. I've never seen a 'tithe stone' before either. There is a lovely old property at the Broad Lane end of Lower Lane called Tithe Barn. 🙂
Hi Chris. Yes our walks are behind but seasons change so quickly before uploads. We really saw quite a few things and the Tithe stone was one. I think I saw the Tithe barn you mentioned. Hope keeping well.
What to do about that downed Way marker...?
That's the question or problem isn't it?
So many picturesque places and so close to home. Some more interesting snippets from Michael, like the Tithe stone. The nicest Tithe barn I have seen is Rivington Hall Barn. We have been walking around Piethorne Valley, from one of your videos a few years ago, lovely walks with interesting history.
Thats great to read about you following a Piethorn route Steve. It's good to know our routes are helpful to walkers. Michael is so on tap with historical info too. We really enjoyed Hartshead .
my neck of the woods shanita some lovely scenery
Thought it would be your neck of the woods Ken. Thanks.
That was fantastic..Hartshead pike looked great, somewhere i have never been...the Tithe stone was interesting...funny how the quiet lane turned out to be the noisiest part of the walk..thanks for the video, really enjoyed it.
Hi Steve. Had a chuckle about the quiet lane being the noisiest part of walk. Same humour as me. 😄Thanks for that and glad you enjoyed. All best to you both.
I couldn't wait to watch this once I received the notification of your new upload! 😁 I've visited these places myself, think I did the same route as you did from Park Bridge via Rocher Vale to Hartshead Pike. Loved that shot you took Michael through the stile with the pike seen in the distance between the posts. I laughed loudly when you asked Michael if he was enjoying it whilst that tractor came by on the quiet lane 😂 Enjoyed "Atmospheric", nice synth with piano solos. Thanks Shanita, all the best 👍
Hi Patrick. Lovely comments to read. It's interesting how certain areas appeal more than other places. The fact we got lost a few times meant we actually did a more scenic longer route than otherwise. But you mentioned doing the same route without getting lost. 🤭👍Yes. I was being sarcastic about a quiet lane when a noisy tractor roared passed. All the best.
@@CountrysideWalking I just had to re-check - I did this in early 2017, but the route from Rocher Vale to the pike was to follow the Tameside Trail waymarks. I don't recall it being hard to follow, but that was over 7 years ago now so the path and waymarks may have deteriorated since then judging by the one post you found on its side in the mud 👍
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. 👍3
So pleased you liked the video. Certainly plenty to see on our way.
Thanks for sharing
A pleasure to share. Thank you.
Nice one
Glad you enjoyed.
I like castle old
There are so plenty of castles around to visit, but Hartshead Pike is set in a beautiful area.
Hello, this looks a lovely and enjoyable walk through the fields and beyond. It seemed you had a beautiful day for it also. We enjoyed watching this. All the best Chelsea and Mike
It was one of those walks we really enjoyed. Unexpected places and views around Tameside. Thanks for watching and your comments.
You two are very relaxing to listen to, and your videos equally relaxing to watch 😘🥰😍 thank you for sharing them with us 🌈✝️🕊️😇 x x x beautiful couple x x x x
Hello Madventures. It's always nice to share our walking ventures, and rewarding to know they bring relaxing enjoyment to others. Thanks for watching them.🙂👍🚶♀🚶♂

Ogden and Piethorne Reservoir - Lancashire 1505pm 23.10.24 newhay. no one mentions newhey... though some say newhey isn't where it's supposed to be... refer to the walk between syke and wardle..
We both know Newhay well, but this route was focused on Ogden and Piethorn Reservoir rather than other areas.
@@CountrysideWalking Comments on ‘Ogden and Piethorne Reservoir - Lancashire’ 1339pm 24.10.24 yeah but if you walk down towards the main road from ogden you come to newhey and the pub the bull... which does a decent pint in there of an afternoon...
Ogden and Piethorne Reservoir - Lancashire 1458pm 23.10.24 walk that in mid winter. if yer assured of yourself it's a nice brusque walk.. and very enjoyable.
We did this route quite a while ago, but nice to see your comments. Thanks.
That stile looked a tricky one Shanita, I was rooting for you as you were squeezing through 😁 I was interested to hear Michael talking about maintaining stiles, gates, signposts, etc. I've encountered that a lot myself lately where paths have been very hard to find or follow due to lack of maintenance. Loved the stone cycle sculpture on your walk. "Slumbering" is a great name for your musical score Shanita, another enjoyable piano piece there. All the best 👍
Thanks so much for your kind comments Patrick. Glad you sympathised with the navigation problems. I know a lot of walkers use apps for guidance, so I don't know if same applies. Thanks for your feedback on Slumbering. Relieved my library collections can deliver as not always able to spend the time I would like on music productions, but sometimes I still revert back to older tracks. 🎹🎼🎵🎶
Such stunning views! You’ve really captured the essence of these places. Thanks for sharing such an amazing content! 👍16
Thanks so much for your comments. Glad you enjoyed.
What a beautiful walk, once you clear the houses and the smiling bin. You said you weren't quite well Shanita. I hope you have recovered. Michael is never lost, he is just unsure of his current location. Sadly, things change over the years and Green Belt gets sold off. It rather defeats the idea of having one. It isn't about how fast you go but the enjoyment you get on the hike. None of us are getting any younger sadly. I certainly feel the miles these days. Those squeeze gates are really tight too. Thanks for sharing Shanita.
Hello Chris. Good to hear from you. Hope you are keeping well as not seen usual uploads, for a while. Thanks for those reassuring comments. Had to smile about never getting lost, but as you say landmarks do change over the years. Also I agree about its not about how fast you go! just enjoy it.😊
@@CountrysideWalking we've been away on a two week Western Mediterranean Cruise, which will be up in an hour or so. I really need to get back out there on the hills. I hope you and Michael are having a wonderful Sunday.
I know this area well of course, just a 5 minute drive from home, I'm often at Burrs for a morning walk. If you're in that area again, let me know and we can meet up for a brew. The bench opposite the sculpture of the children at Walmersley brook is my favourite seat for sitting and listening to the birds. The other two benches get worse every year. Haven't tried that link route from Kirklees to Burrs across Longsight Road, interesting.
Hi Steve. That would be brilliant to have a meet up if in the area again. Often wondered what it would be like to meet up personally with regulars to my page. Thought you might like Burrs as I know you have filmed this area too. I didn't know you were familiar with a favourite seat presume it wasn't the one with the missing bench panels. Glad another route (Kirklees Valley) for you to try out perhaps. Thanks Steve.
I do like Barrowford....it has a Booth's supermarket for starters! Often though I tend to just pass through on my way to the Dales. I visited the Heritage Centre in the early 2000s and don't remember it being as nice as it looked in your film Shanita. Perhaps I need to go again. Hope you and Michael are well.
Hi Chris. Thanks for comments. I know about the Booths supermarket. Have been there a few times. We haven't been too good with sickness virus going round but on the road to recovery now. Hope you and family keeping well. All the best.
@@CountrysideWalking Get well soon 🤞
@@ChrisJB Thanks Chris.🙂
pity you missed all the mining history, you were actually stood on a pit heap at one point
Yes I was aware of the coal mining in the area. In fact, on a previous walk on the other side of Scout Moor, we came across an open shaft - most unusual; they're usually capped, or at least fenced off. I used to love underground exploration, originally the lead mines of Derbyshire etc, and that led on to caving as a sport.
I note your comments, which I believe Michael has already responded. My main focus on this walk was to see Waugh's Well. Obviously we're not always able to include every historical landmark, but hope there were some points of interest too.
@@michaeldenham9681 loved the video, always enjoy that area
Did you make a wish in the fairy stream?...the walled garden looks wonderful...Loved all the names for the Privvy, even the rude ones..ha ha..A friend once told me that he knew of a Blackbird that lived in a churchyard and it used to Sing "here comes the bride"...i think he may have been pulling my leg...A real interesting route, enjoyed it.
Hi Steven. Really glad you enjoyed the walled garden, not to mention the choice of privy names. I think you're right about that blackbird song lyrics. Not heard of that one before - always something new.😀😊 p.s. No. Afraid to say I didn't make a wish - 🙂
That was a great walk Shanita, a bit of everything in it as Michael was saying. I've heard of Blacko Tower but not familiar with the other places you visited. I was smiling to myself when you were reading out the privy by any other name sign 😁 Nice piece of music again in "Casual Encounter". I think when you had your tea at the end, that's the first time I've seen Michael without a hat. All the best 👍
Yes. Michael looks different without his hat - you could say that's his relaxing pose.😊Totally unexpected reading down to that particular privy word which didn't read out loud. Nice to know the easy walks can be enjoyed as much as the more challenging walks. Also a change for me to use my more upbeat tracks to suit mood of walks (e.g. 'Casual Encounter'). Thanks so much for your comments Patrick enjoy your weekend.
What a lovely walk, full of interest, we are definitely going to do that one, but not parking at the heritage centre, that is expensive. Nicely put together video Shanita with another pleasant piece of music "Casual Encounter". Did you use a little wireless mic when you were sat chatting?
Spot on Steve. Afraid it was only a cheap wifi mic, hence a bit distorted but always trying out something new. As far as parking charges, we always park on the road these days, but used to be free. Thanks Steve.
Beautiful parks
Thanks this was a very leisurely walk for a nice change.
So beautiful area, great nature sounds and filming. LIKE 22 ♥
Thanks so much for your comments. Agree about natural sounds of nature.
I loved your selfie, well done, you’re a natural x x x 🌈✝️🕊️😇😘🥰😍 x x x
Well what a surprise to read your comments. Must admit selfies are not something I'm used to so very much appreciate the encouragement. Many thanks for that. 🙂🤩
Some lovely scenes there Shanita. I've lost count of the times I've driven past Plunge, between Norden and Edenfield and I've always liked the name. I should give this walk a go.
Although limited for filming, it was very scenic place to be in, almost an oasisi hdden away. Its a kind of Sunday afternoon place to visit. I would recommended checking out if you can Chris. Thanks for support. Hope keeping well.
Fabulous. I was so engrossed with the waterfall, was beginning to imagine perhaps you've found the garden of eden and the the bloke with the pint turned up and then I thought, are they in a pub garden or something? lol Pretty spectacular though and first time I've heard of it.
Unfortunately I didn't expect that bloke to turn up in the middle of filming. I think he had a take away coffee though! But so nice to find a waterfall like that so local too. Thanks Nick.
Nice wander by the water and a lovely looking waterfall 😊 it does sound pretty loud close to the falls
Thanks Yasmin for watching and commentating. It's amazing finding a small oasis and lovely waterfall so close by.
One of our lockdown walks, I remember Jeanie wanting to go back with some Cif and a cloth to clean the information sign by the waterfall of the mill ruins. Love that "Moonbeams" piece, cleverly done. Like the camera chat, when I do it it still feels really strange, befriending a box in my hand.
Ha had a real laugh at your comments Steve. 😀 Was wondering where the Ciff and cloth remarks was about, but yes a lot of signs need clearing up. Glad you liked 'Moonbeams' track arrangement. Like you, I just don't feel natural talking to myself spontaneously.🙃
What a lovely place to explore..the plunge was pretty impressive, especially when it flowed upward...good to see you talking to the camera, was it a first?.
Ah ! so you noticed the water flowed upwards as well. Good observations Steven. You could say it was a first chatting to camera more, although have done selfies before not always comfortable with it. Suppose its practice. Thanks for that.😌
Really good to see you addressing the camera in this Shanita. Do you feel more comfortable in front of it now? I've heard of Edenfield as I know it's near Ramsbottom, but I've not visited yet. I must say the Plunge looked amazing, a real gem of a waterfall indeed. "Moonbeams" was a nice bright theme too, enjoyed that. All the best 👍
I think the problem of being in front of camera Patrick, is seeing myself too close to camera (not necessarily at my best even coping with an extended tripod at the same time.) Michael says it's vanity!!. 😇😎 But on the other hand I suppose it's the nack of spontaneous conversations. Not used to talking to myself.😯 Moonbeams, another musical synth effects. Thanks Patrick. All best to you and weekend too.
Morning both, so beautiful hearing the birds as you walked, this place is so beautiful and that waterfall is definitely a gem 🙂 ~ Anna
So nice to know other viewers appreciate the area. It was just a leisurely day out for us not too much effort. Thank you.
that looked a lovely walk shanita, nice weather too.
It was filmed earlier in the year and the first real decent sunny day. So that make a difference to usual dull weather. Thanks Ken. All best.
A beautiful circular. It seems it's very popular too. You can tell how well trod the path is by its depths in places. Thanks for sharing, Shanita.
Hi Chris. That's informative about knowing how well trod paths are by it's depth. I've never considered that before, but it does make sense. As you say it was a most enjoyable circular walk with no trials or demands except to walk it. Glad enjoyed Chris. All the best.
It was good to see your take on the Reservoirs Circuit Shanita. It's a walk I like a lot, though the track by the reservoirs is a bit of a slog. Unfortunately, the twite are virtually extinct in the South Pennines now, though I did see two near the White House earlier in the year.
I thought you might pick up on the flock of twite birds. It sounds as if they habitat around that area, but not sure on that one. It was a bit of a slog around all four reservoirs. Normally I find longer walks very tiring but quite pleased no effects at the end of this one. All the best Chris and many thanks.
Excellent video .a pity about the wind noise
The wind has always been a problem when filming, but glad you still enjoyed. Cheers.
I must admit I’ve bever heard of a flock of twites before. Something new I’ve learned today 😊 Stoodley Pike and Blackstone Edge are more places on my to-visit list. Nice to see a few more selfies of you on this walk Shanita! 😊 Loved your chords used in “A Fantasy”, a pleasant keyboard piece. Have a great weekend 👍
Pleased you liked music track as wasn't sure about this one, so many thanks for feedback Patrick. I am sure Blackstone Edge would suit you and its near to a popular walker's White House Pub. Nice to keep in touch with your comments. Much appreciated. Hope enjoyed your hols and good weekend ahead.🙂👍
Lovely walk, Stoodly Pike with it's monument, near Todmorden is a famous UFO "hotspot". There are some interesting stories, such as the PC Alan Godfrey alleged encounter with a craft, "not of this World" in late November, 1980.
I never knew Stoodly Pike is a famous UFO hotspot. I'm intrigued by anything like that, so thanks for info and feedback Nick.
7:41 - car park still there Micheal!
Michael confirms it as carpark at Withins Clough. Have passed on your comments. Thanks
What a perfect day to be up on the moors, so peaceful. I had looked at the map around there when walking Gragg Vale and plotted a route around Stoodley Pike so it was good to have a look at the area. Always wanted to visit Gaddings Dam with its little beach.
I think that's the beauty of seeing other walks and getting ideas of places. We have often noted your walks Steve giving ideas of places to visit. Made such a change with sunny weather for filming.
It's nice to see some parts of the Pennine Way.. I think Michael was right about the wooden slats on the floor at 04:52 .. It was all boggy there years ago . People used to walk a long way around the bog but the wooden things helped for a shorter route. Nice to hear Michael's comments. You did well to film that 8 mile walk with a camcorder .. well done .
It didn't feel like an 8 mile walk at the time because terrain so flat and simple to follow. I didn't know about those wooden slats once being a track though. This time I was using my preferred sony digital camera. It has less problems than my other cameras/camcorder. Hope keeping well David and thanks.
Love your filming/editing etc x x x the bird sounds are beautiful x x x love the unofficial path along the pipe 😂🤣 and the view of Colden Clough ..we go quite regularly there, planning to go tomorrow all being well, but not on the side you’re on in the video..we’ve never been there, that far up x x x great to see x x x We go past the shooting hut, by the left, and up to the rocks usually …sometimes further up to the other large overhanging rocks and back down to the other reservoir …it’s all stunning ✝️🌈🕊️😇😘🥰😍 xx x Love Julie x x x
I know that Blackstone is a popular walking area, and starting from Whitehouse Pub lets people stop for a drink there. I hope your plans to walk there went well. Thanks for watching Julie & Danny, and nice to see your comments.🙂👍
Just came across your lovely calm channel today, watched quite a few, everything is beautiful about them, you two, your personalities, your interactions, knowledge, scenery, ability to walk so much and find so many stunning places ..loved the mention of the Hollingworth Lake comparison, and laughed at your ability to find the burnt table situation funny, because if you can’t laugh, you’d moan and moaning isn’t good for the soul/ health 🌈✝️🕊️😇😘🥰😍 they certainly left their mark and a talking and filming point with that table anyway 🤣 I look forward to what you get up to next x x x P.S we too hate the shooting huts at Widdop, there’s loads further up, dug into the ground, and we found a dead frog in one that couldn’t get out 😞 so they’re not only killing grouse but frogs! To find them, you walk up by the side of the shed, the left of it as it faces the path, and they are along the route, some set back a bit x x x love Julie x x x
I really enjoyed reading your positive comments Danny & Julie. So rewarding to know our films brought so much enjoyment and humour. I do like filming anything which has scenery along the way, and good to know similar views on the shooting side. But you're right, I do like the calmer side of life often not around these days. 🙂Thanks.
What is nice little village Staithes is. Some great post card style shots Shanita. Like the "humans tolerated" dogs welcome sign. Some more interesting info from the archaeologist. Nice relaxing music, it felt like a Sunday afternoon, oh it is a Sunday afternoon.
I do like to film these humour signs when around. I smiled at the mention of Archaeologist. Take your pick. Sometimes Geology, History, Landscape - no topic too much !!😉😇Lucky with producing Sunday Afternoon music. It seemed to flow very quickly for a change from the time usually taken in my arrangements. All best Steve.
How splendid to see Staithes again. It must be twenty years since I was last there. I went with my mum and my aunt. That whole Yorkshire coast is very special. I can also recall a visit to Scaling Dam. We were looking for a rare bird as I recall. I can't remember what it was but I'm pretty sure we didn't see it! Bye for now, Chris
Hi Chris. During Michael's teaching days he took a coach load of children on a school holiday camp during summer half term at Staithes. Hence a return visit for him. I think it's nostalgic to return. Pity you couldn't find that bird Chris. Bye for now.
what lovely coastline shanita.
It was a nice day and lovely to get the coastline views Ken. Cheers and thanks.
What a lovely place Staithes is Shanita. Went there once many years ago and it always reminded me of a larger version of Robin Hoods Bay. I must say I really enjoyed your piano theme of "Sunday Afternoon ", great jazz chords there and some vibraphone in places too? All the best 👍
Thanks so much for your kind comments. Interesting you were reminded of Robin Hood country. Sunday Afternoon track I was pleased with speed track developed in production. I thought it a change to upload a relaxed social day. Have good weekend Patrick.
Lovely....the Yorkshire coast is hard to beat
I know you sometimes visit that area from watching your films. Glad enjoyed. Thanks Steven.
