Nice, I like that BTM XL frame. It sits up higher which I like but I run a Sunday Nightshift and it’s pretty awesome geometry for me. I like the higher stand over so you can raise the seat higher and it doesn’t look so goofy.
Switching the clutch and driver to change driveside in a freecoaster is possible sometimes if you get lucky, but in some cases the coned ring that the clutch seats to when engaged will unthread itself from the hubshell and lock it up.
I picked up a set of those Blunt cranks in raw/gloss. Priced to kill the comp, 48spl, 24mm hollow spindle, flush fitting hollow bolts, smooth for the ankles, etc. The best value out there for cranks as far as I'm concerned.
What? No mention of which foot forward you ride dictating your preferred grinding side & what side drive you run? Don't most people grind on their front foot side? You should do a survey.
I grind on my right side mostly. Still have a right side drivetrain. I’ve never ran into any serious problems with hitting my sprocket unintentionally.
I have snapped a few chains cause of this, and enden up bending my OG sprocket when I failed a smith grind on a rail. Bought a guarded steel sprocket, and never had any issues since.
@@JorgeChavez-du5vm no kink has one that the threaded the clutch to take both left and right side drive drivers. Its DTC stands for dual threaded clutch, oh phone auto corrected.
I have an old school Cassette, it came off of a mongoose Brawler of all things, but when you pull the cassette out, you can flip the pawls around for LHD.
Wethepeople and Eclat used to have a switch cassette hub too. Not sure if they still do but I run left hand drive. Been using it since 2007 ever since I got my first Odyssey cassette with a Midway rim. Lol y’all remember the Midway? I think it was the first gen Hazard cassette hub.
Great video again bros❤️ I grind lefty so my switch is right side, so I run right hand drive only. But did teach my self how to do switch pretty decent like on a toothpick grind. Never tried a rail yet just street curbs or bench's 😂
So I’m used to the right hand drive cause that is how they came when I was younger but I grind more on the right side cause I have my right foot forward so with that being said should I switch to left hand drive then or should I keep my right hand drive
I’ve always seen if your left foot forward your right hand drive if you’re right foot forward your left hand drive but you get goofy riders that ride left foot forward with left-hand drive but Grind on the right And same the other way right foot forward right hand drive Grind on the left is goofy again 👍🚲💨
We don't really have bike stores like Phu's in Australia, with all the parts on display. I'd love to come into your store so I can see everything in person and put my hands on it all! Plenty of companies making switchable cassettes but I couldn't think of a switchable freecoaster. I have a left-hand drive Revolution but I don't think you can switch the internals.
I just bought a Wtp battleship and i think the drive train is on the wrong side for me. Its on the left but i ride left foot forward. I can ride it goofy but it makes grinding harder cuz ill be off balance and my weight wont be centred.
as a road bike and fixie rider I have been obsession over this left drive idea lately, I've only really seen it on BMX bikes, sweet video thanks for the upload
I believe it was cinema but they made a free coaster where the clutch was dual threaded and all you need to switch the hub to the other side drive is a driver instead of a whole new hub
Speaking of Left and RIght: Mix the audio down to mono, if your stereo recording sucks. nowadays people use almost exclusively headphones to listen to clips and that directional mic left/right panning is horrible in almost any situation, escpecially with heavy spoken word content.
I don’t think you can. It would require a cassette with 2 drive sides which none of them do. Unless you can machine it to have 2 then it would probably work. A flip flop hub, you could put both sides on but one would go forward and one go backward.
@@eddiestone7610 actually if you use a flip flop freewheel hubs one side would be for left and one for the right. They do make left hand freewheels. If you don't know what a freewheel is, it threads onto the hub instead of going inside the hub.
Im sorry but ive been grinding on my right since 98. You gotta consoder what side of youre body is dominant, mine being right, i just cant do the lhd for the life of me.
If you switch the wheel to the other side, then you can only pedal backwards and you will go backwards. When you pedal forward it’s not gonna engage, you will essentially be back pedaling, only in forward motion.
Has anyone heard of SIN BMX? They had videos from years ago but I have a SIN TWIST back wheel and it rips. I’ve never really heard of this brand but does anybody know anything about it?
Back in my day we just jumped off curbs and raced down the street. So many changes since the early 80’s.
Man, people are sleepin on the Fit Sleeper! For street it's probably the best frame geometry. Ethan thought of everything.

Good to see Phu in good health and good spirits. Merry Christmas to the entire @_Epicbmx fam
Killer bikes, (love the first left drive redone) I myself go left drive for the soul purpose of it being different. Lol.

WTP do a hub that you can change from freecoaster to cassette it’s called the Hybrid hub 🚲💨
Do product videos showing what you have in stock. Frames, tires, etc.
