thank you for this video its really helps .. but sensei how we can change form toggle to toggle and in the same time the first toggle turn of that will help with cloth and hair .. is it something that have to do with the parameters ?

So many people claim to not see my toggles? it works flawlessly for me but nobody can see my items when toggled on and off... even though this is a 1 Y/o video i thought to ask anyway.
Make sure you have sync turned on for the toggles in the parameter.
Sorry but it doesnt like let me do it it just turns one slot on and if i try to turn the other off it turns both off

if its a clothing item (i have a sort of dress hoodie), which bone do we put it on?
I redo the weight painting for clothing I use, you can find the tutorial in my server or on my UA-cam!
lets say i want to toggle multiple clothing items, everytime i use this method but use multiple different clothing items - sometimes only 1 of the toggles will work but the others wont. why is that? i have everything set up the exact same but the toggles will only work for 1

Quick question so I have toggle manager right BUT i have a toggle i made that's in the wheel in vr chat but it doesn't show in toggle assistant so I cant remove it.
I usually tell people not to use slice of life scripts until you learn your basics first, to avoid issues like this. I don't personally use scripts to do my work, but you would need to post in my discord for me to help you better.
what was that thing you were using that made the parameters menu and stuff look diffrent?

Is this toggle method cross platform compatible?
What I mean is if someone on Quest/PC is wearing an avatar that uses this toggle method, would someone on the opposite platform be able to see the toggles?
Just wanted to ask because a friend of mine whos on PC used this method for toggleable expressions but I couldn't see their face changing on Quest
Toggles are different from face gestures, mostly any toggle is quest compatible if a models toggles are not sync its because of how they set up or messed with the quest version.
@@PupsVR Ah okay, thank you! They figured out that only they could see the toggles so it wasn't just a client side thing

Make sure you don't have another animator somewhere on your model and only your models animator.

Youll need to create one! right click in assets area > create > vrchat > paramter menu
why does my character get stuck in the ground, idk how to get them out after im done animating, it does it for my original model too

A little confused by what you mean. If you mean keep the models but only upload one, you can just hide the others. If you want to upload one but has the others as a toggle on your model I wouldnt do that as it would be a mess and very laggy.
Does this work with multiple clothing items too? Ex: stacking stuff like a bodysuit which you can toggle and then a hoodie but the bodysuit stays

No you use the dup to create animations, and to not accidently perm mess up your model. When you are done animating delete the dup and go back to origional.
If you "perm mess up your model", there are plenty of ways to fix it. Believe me, I messed up my model like this in ways one can't even comprehend, and managed to piece it back together by setting its default animation back to how the prefab was I started with without having to start all the changes I made over from the beginning. As long as you have a reference (which we all have from pretty much any avatar), you can always set the default animation back the way you want it. Making a duplicate simply saves you the hassle of fixing it after. That's why it's recommended.

Change it to a bool, not a int or radial.
You can use integers if you wish. Keep in mind, if you use integers, you will be cycling props based on a value. 1 can be like a red cube, 2 a blue circle, 3 an orange triangle or whatever (these are just examples), but you'd set your red cube layer to set the integer parameter to 1, your blue circle layer to set the same integer parameter to 2, and your orange triangle layer to set the same integer parameter to 3 etc... for as many values as the amount of toggles you'd like to cycle. I actually prefer integers over bools, because I tend to use many different items in the same locations and like to cycle them with a single parameter for that location instead of creating a crap ton of bool parameters.
If I reverse the steps does it just toggle off?
Yes reverse the animation and it will go the other way around.

You can create one by right clicking the blank area of your assets area > create > animation controller

Whenever I get into vrchat, everything shows up in the toggle wheel fine but when I try to toggle it nothing happens. Like how usually you get the arrows going in a circle, it doesn't even do that.
Because you need to set up the parameter in the menu!
Like Pups said in the video, the parameter in the menu/submenu and the parameter in the animator are case sensitive and need to have the same spelling. Otherwise, your menu toggle will be referencing a parameter that doesn't even exist. It's like that Pink Floyd song... "Is there anybody out there?" The communication the action gets returned is silence, emptiness, nada.
what do i do if it isnt showing the option of putting the "cube" into the conditions? ive been looking and doing everything and i cant seem to find it
Make sure you are in recording mode!
