Here is a video of a test of the 1956 warning siren I have restored. It is seen here running off a regular single phase UK power socket through a starter box I made from scratch. I am quite sure this siren would be capable of far more if it was to be powered by proper 3-phase. However I am still more than pleased with the results. - Наука та технологія

You know how these types of fans work, right? The intake is the top hole, and the blades are the slices of the spinning disk that block the holes.
christine buxton you just need to blow the whole reason the Thunderbolt needs a blower is because of design they really didn't want to compromise the design in the center needs air in order to push out waves so in order to give it ere the middle that little hole on the top of the site sucks air if you were to connect the bowling thing to it wouldn't do anything

Our fire station motor (Michigan, USA) runs on 240-volt, single phase, but since it's not 3-phase, it needs a lot of amperage to get up to full speed in the first ten seconds or so. I think we have 100 amps going to it through the control box that switches it on and off for 13 cycles for a general fire alarm. Each cycle is about twelve seconds, with a one or two-second wind-down before the next cycle ramps it up again to maximum. It's on a 25-foot steel tower, and we can hear it over five miles away on a windless day.
