blackeyeddog I guess you get another black eye since he won his fourth Grade ! of the year in the Hollywood Derby while Bayern is lounging around in the barn.
Shared belief was the best horse by at least 4-5 lengths...don't think I've ever seen such a brutal start to a race. Got body slammed twice and had to be steadied in the first 1/4...so sad
Well he And Chromie...If he was better than chrome that day wasn't by that much.. but he was. I wonder what ever would've happened this year. :( R.I.P. SB! He was in training last fall and as late as November & Chrome looked pretty good in this race. And Toast of NY cut off Shared Belief also. And then Smith had to check him again.

haha! Baffert in the interview after the race said that since he's won everything he has nothing to look forward to, so now he has to win the Triple Crown...! Well, Baffert, you did, the very next year with American Pharoah :)
announcer: How did it all happened? - It happened when that stupid jockey of Bayern steered him the the right clearing Shared Belief and others. I guess that's how it is for favs come race day. It reminds me of what happenedd to CC when four horses pinned him on the rail. SUPERB RAN BY CALIFORNIA CHROME! STILL A HUGE FAN...
In my view, Bayern and Toast of New York should have BOTH been disqualified for what happened at the start with California Chrome awarded the win and Shared Belief (who lost all chance at the win at the start) moved up to second (Bayern would have been placed third and Toast of New York would have been placed fourth if BOTH have been DQ'ed).
Antonio Moya Actually, I didn't bet the race. Had that race been in New York, Bayern for sure would have been DQ'ed and Toast of New York likely ALSO would have been DQ'ed, awarding CC the win.
Came close that time.......we'll have to see how Chrome does THIS year. He's on a roll now and he's 3 for 3 with One win being the Dubai World Cup yesterday. SO we'll see how he does in it this year when handled properly. ;) THIS BCC race was the most thrilling race ever. I love those top three and very happy Bayern took the win actually. I've always loved Bayern. He retired with a BANG.
after Dubai he got sent right to UK...to train. He was too tired by then. Are you kidding....he was tired and needed a rest at home by then. He lost 200 lbs in UK. That's not good. Anyway,BUT taking second in the DWC gave him $2million and second in his prep race in USA he won something. So for two races in 2015 he still made $2 1/2 million. Not bad.....THEN he finally got a rest by Rood And riddle after 18 months straight of training and racing. That was his FIRST rest. Then he came back a beast after 3 months off. Not sure WHY people always figured Chrome didn't need or deserve a rest. BUT he never got one at all until Taylor Made bought out Coburns share of Chrome. THEN CC got a rest and proper care before being sent back to Art's. AND it paid off.
@@RedBev59 I don't know what you guys are talking about, but Bayern ran 5 times from May 2015 until September 2015 and never finished higher than 3rd including running dead last twice
So, A Bafford horse bumping Shared Belief twice in a row is a coincidence? If this was an East coast, or Euro horse, this crap would have been DQ'd easily. Bob is a smart guy with zero shame. He knows what he can get away with, and he pulled it off here. Bob would call it an 'edge' -- because competing fairly is for "looser's" -- all the rest of us would call it cheating..
That was Shared Belief's race.... Shared Belief was set up to fail. He was in a bad spot and wasn't even allowed to run for part of the race. He made up ground well and I am proud of him for that. I am also glad to see California Chrome performing well again even if it was 3rd, he was very, very close. However it ended the way it did, so congrats on the win Bayern you are a great horse regardless and it isnt your fault.
A great horse does not finish last in the Travers or next to last in the Preakness. Tell me the name of a "great horse" that finished last or next to last in a ten race season.
Vernon France Bayern is a good horse what are you talking about? Is he up there with the greats like Man O War, Eclipse or Kincsem absolutely not. But he isnt a bad athlete, specially out of this crop of 3 year olds. Just because a horse loses a race does not mean he isnt good. Man O War, Kelso, Count Fleet, War Admiral, John Henry, Affirmed and Secretariat....need I go on? are good horses and have all lost races (may have still placed but they did not come in first). Ruffian (debatable), Sham,War Admiral, Phar Lap,Whirlaway have finished last in races and they are still considered very, Very good horses. Just sayin.
Taylor. I agree that he is a good horse, but I said he is not a "great" horse. Ruffian finished last of two when she broke down against the Kentucky Derby winner Foolish Pleasure in a match race. Until then she was undefeated. War Admiral finished second to Seabiscuit in a match race. I do not consider finishing second in a match race the same as finishing last when there are many other horses in the race as in the Preakness and the Travers where Bayern finished next to last and last, respectively.
I know who foolish pleasure was. As well as biscuits and admirals race. I have been doing this stuff since I was a kid. But I don't wanna fight. Bayern is a good horse in my opinion ; specially out of this crop of 3 year olds. Is hr a favorite of mine no. But itsjust my opinion .
uhh I think the '98 one was.... Had Silver Charm not angled out Awesome Again doesn't win. HECK! Had Swain not gone on a 45 degree angle down the stretch--he should've easily won. He didn't lose by hardly anything.
The way those jockeys recklessly brought their horses across at the start it's very fortunate they didn't cause a huge pileup of horses resulting in death or serious injury to horses and riders, the stewards should have ruled against them to make sure that style of riding is deemed completely unacceptable especially in such a classic race as the Breeders Cup.
I watched Gate Dancer get Dq'ed in the very first Classic and he did nothing. The winner, Wild Again, who is Bayern's grandpa. Mugging and getting away with it must run in the family. lol And Richard Stewart, you hit the nail on the head. If it had not been Baffert's horse, I think it would have been placed fourth. Let's have more Breeder's Cups at other tracks. Next year is Keeneland but they plan to go back to Santa Anita again after that. It is a beautiful track in a lovely location, but let's bring in neutral Stewards like they do with referees in college football when different conferences' teams play each other.
That is not true. In the UK they fine a jockey for using the whip a tiny fraction of the amount used here. Of course, there is a lot of mayhem in the long jump races such as the Grand National but not on the flat racing circuit.
Gotta love that speed bias in Santa Anita. The first three horses at the start of the race stayed there for its entirety. Also, are they using horse breathing sounds as a soundtrack for the race? I know you can usually hear that but it's so subtle you don't even think about it, but this time it sounded really loud, and odd.
Mike Smith needs 2 go down 2 Lane End Farm 2 check in on Zenyatta. I know she is feeling bad about loosing her baby girl in that paddock incident. I love the BIG Z. Zenyatta would have ran them all down. There children 2 her. Breeders Cup Queen.
Mike is a busy guy and has been to see her. As far as Z Princess dying, Zenyatta wasn't even in the paddock. The filly had been weaned two or three weeks before her paddock accident. So Zen is fine.
I wonder if Jim Rome and company will ever run SB outside of California at other race tracks. I know he 2 has a large following of fans that would love 2 c him race in there state.the good thing is that all the California horses followed in the money. Bayern, CC and SB r from that track of Santa Anita. Toast of New York (Hats Off).
I respectfully disagree with your first two statements. As to your third, I would not know Bayern Munich from Bayer aspirin. Who cares about some unknown minor league franchise in Germany?
I made a few large bets on this race. I would've had the exacta times 5, then I bet shared belief. At first I was yelling that they should've taken bayern down, because of my bets. "American racing" stewards look at it as affecting horses finish place. They couldn't justify it. Looking back I think they were correct. That America horse bias is bullshit. You guys are only bred for long and turf. We have speed, distance and multitude of surfaces, but grass is the best.
Shared Belief should have been right there at the end, right from the gate he got that terrible unfair disadvantage by Bayern..Shared Belief was the great horse that the horse racing world never really got to enjoy and see..how so sad. He still ran great tho..
Watched replay a few more times...maybe Bayern stays up but Toast of New York clearly ran down on Shared Belief shortly after the start!! I am a huge California Chrome fan yet he seems to have lost that extra gear or would have gone right on by the top two!! Gave up but a lot of ground staying out wider than needed!! A great race but wish Shared Belief could of got a "fair" chance!!
Bayern should definitely have been disqualified; how could what happened not have affected the outcome of the race? It seems to me that the jockey didnt regain control of Bayern for several strides, not just coming out of the gate. Just for informations sake, in the UK, stewards go by if the incident affected the outcome of the race - here it clearly did.
The fact that Bayern got away with this was BS, and the stewards, and jockey should be reprimanded if not more. I've seen a lot of races, and never seen a slam this bad, I was astonished they got away with it. They need to get the Breeders cup out of California and SA's obviously biased stewards, for more than one race. SA is NOT the only track in the country.
Here's the overhead of the start. Really wish the footage was HD but never could find it from NBC. www.hrtv.com/BreedersCup/?VideoId=inSER20Tgpu98ydohH0fgXCZmSmxseUAgq0TGGXk8Sw%3d
+baileydanger The announcer said there was actually no contact. I thought that too. Looked more like Bayern, coming out faster than SB, cut him off sharp is all. That happens all the time.
Congratulations to BAYERN and Toast of New York. BAYERN is not getting due handicappers respect; but despite any excuses from the media and judging people, including those hero dreaming of SB or CC, they were the genuine one. Reply • The incident was not intentional. I watched a fast Bayern and slow Shared Belief with lack of speed getting cut by every other contender. A real champion would have recovered and beat everyone. Also, events like this are always possible at the first jump. It also happened to BAYERN in the Preakness and nobody cared. Everybody knows the jockey’s has a minimum control in the first jump of a race. If you want to blame someone you should consider Toast of New York, which was a little messy after the start of the race; but again it was perfectly normal. In this race, the call for possible disqualification of BAYERN was initialed by the Stewards as part of the protocol and no by the jockey of Shared Belief. You can question the Santa Anita authorities regarding the results or getting emotional on the subject; but It was BAYERN from start to finish. The key factor should be BAYERN beaten California Chrome again. This time not excuses. That is what the media should talk about. BAYERN, is so far the best of the 3yo generation. A generation full of disappointments and ordinary contenders. Good for the best of them: BAYERN, Toast of New York, Tonalist and California Chrome (in that order).
"A true champion would have recovered and beat everyone." Right that is why Secretariat lost his first race and finished fourth because he was also slammed coming out of the gate. I guess by your logic, Antonio, Secretariat was not a true champion. Bayern needs things his own way or he spits the bit. He finished last in the Travers and next to last in the Preakness. Martin Garcia should have been set down for a week lik eEspinoza waswhen Espinoza carried Shared Belief wide on Baffert's horse in Baffert's last race against Shared Belief. Garcia said Bayern went straight. Right! Straight to the rail. He should have been disqualified and does not deserve Horse of the Year. Jerry Bailey is lying when he says this happens in 50% of all races.
Antonio. The point I was trying to make was that you said a true champion would be able to win even if it was broadsided the way Shared Belief was. That is not true because when it happened to Secretariat he finished fourth. I agree that Shared Belief is no Secretariat. I think Bayern is a good horse but I just did not like the way the Classic went down as it made some horses have no chance. It was fun for me getting argumentative about horse racing. We were lucky to have a pretty good group of horses in this three year old crop. I always look forward to the Triple Crown. American Pharaoh really beat the winner of the Juvenile, Wildcat Red, but so much can happen in the half year till May. Secretariat is my favorite and I really loved Zenyatta too. I did not get on the California Chrome bandwagon until after the Preakeness. Espero que no pienses que yo haya faltado el respeto para ud. Solamente me gusta discutir.
I wish someone would take action...I would sign an online petition to have action taken on this decision... directed to Santa Anita RaceTrack, The Breeders Cup, The Nation Racing authorities, Horse protection authorities, The Jockies Union....SAFETY FIRST before $$$ of one jock/trainer...other owners and trainers and gamblers also have $ on the line. THIS SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED.
donald sjulstad The decision was wrong, you uneducated idiot. Bayern bulldozed the horses to his inside at the start, and the stewards call that it was "inconsequential" sends the message that you can win by whatever means necessary. Watching the jockey it doesn't SEEM like this was intentional, but if you listen to what he says after the race, something is off. "I think he broke straight. My horse broke two or three lengths in front of him (Shared Belief), I don't think I bothered him." No experienced Jockey can make THAT big of a blunder. He knew his horse veered, hence him pulling the right rein to straighten him up. If you look at the tactics pulled against Shared Belief in the Awesome Again, I would not put it past Bob Baffert to cheat his way to a win in the Classic either. So shut up and learn your crap before making snide remarks.
Thysnia Brock Get over. Donald is correct. Share Belief and CC, to win, need to keep racing with average or worse contenders. Check last made CC race for sample. The Classic is for the real deals and BAYERN gave a class to TOAST OF NEW YORK, the rest doesn't count. This is my idiot and uneducated opinion.
Thysnia Brock Your analysis is very accurate. Garcia was lying through his teeth because he could not be so deluded as to fail to feel the impact when his larger horse knocked the wind out of Shared Belief and slammed SB into Moreno, the horse that would have given Bayern a run for the lead if he hadn't also been impeded.
California racing is so biased it's disgusting. That horse should have never been left up but bc it was Bafferts horse at Santa Anita. Terrible for our sport, if Pletcher or anyone else' horse does that, taken down without a doubt. Get your shit together Cali. Terrible call and disgusting that the stewards aren't smarter
Folks forget how small Shared Belief was! It was the Middle Weight Champion of the World getting gang banged by 4 Top Heavy Weights! Shared Belief lost all chance from break to the first turn. Baffert was on a Mission to beat the Best Undefeated Horse in the World
That's true,,,,, but realize that these powerful race horses that weigh tons can be unpredictable coming out of the gates are being ridden 116 lb. jockeys. Besides i don't think these top jockeys would risk getting into accidents just to get an advantage.
It happened so early in the race that there was no way it could effect the outcome. This stuff happens. I watched Shared Belief get into his groove a little then got run into again. Therefore...Not Bayern's fault. When you get a pack of horses together there's usually a little contact. Everyone quit crying.
Tell that to Secretariat fans. He was slammed coming out of the gate in his first race and finished fourth. There should be crying when these beautiful animals are allowed to hit each other and still come right across the path of others.
Bullshit 4 Chome has his legs back now. He needs another $1 Million day race in December somewhere. As 4 Shared B. he got screwed from the beginning and caught in traffic but did a good job of 4th.
Bayern rocks!!!! he is a gutsy determined horse... I'm no horse racing expert but i was a bit confused that there had to be an inquiry!!!. I think these horses are given a few feet allowances when they break from the starting gate. This was all an accident and unintentional. Lets give Garcia and Bayern some credit for a gutsy ride.
Look how tight and short his rein was pulled to his left and look how loose the rein in right was. Then he played for the cameras pulling the long loose right rein back. TOTALLY OBVIOUS!
THEdowntowndoll Yup. The short rein to the left, the long rein to the right makes it look intentional to me. Wish the stewards would look at this and change their minds. I think Bayern should still come down, and Martin Garcia should get a thirty day suspension. Otherwise, the stewards are just inviting this kind of shennanigans to happen again and again.
I just watched the replay of the 2014 Kentucky Derby and if you compare the two starts there is no comparison. You can't take a horse down for bumping another horse in the first couple of strides. You just can't. It goes on way too much in horseracing.
It will be done deliberately unless these muggers are punished by losing their placing to wind up being placed behind the horse(s) they interfered with. Besides, it is still is unfair whether it is intentional or not.
Yall all talking about DQ Bayern for what, if thats the case alot of horses wood get DQ every year durning the Derby, and if yall listened to guy who stated the rule, you are allowed a certain amount of feet of doing what had happened...
Yeah, and when a safety accidentally runs into a receiver in football, there should be no pass interference. Right! A lot of horse should be DQed to make sure this is never done intentionally again.
Congrats to Baffert. My opinion-Why Horse racing, is slowly fading away. Track attendance down. Racing fans all over the Country are losing interest. Not to long ago, the Super bowl of Racing was a day that my family got together after making our bets, sat around and enjoyed watching each race on NBC. Today, with Time Warner, Verizon, Cable dish, etc., you have to scramble for hours to find anything regarding Breeders cup day. Finally after 8p.m. I luckily found the Breeders Cup Classic on NBC. The last race of the day. Every other sport is on T.V. from Rugby to college football. No more OTB, no more sports bars, no more giving what the public wants to see. To top it all off, average resident has to pay between $100 to $200 dollars a month for Cable now. My channels go to 2,000 and what good is it if I can't find movies I like, or Sporting events I like. Racing channel can not show the Breeders cup races due to exclusive rights. Terrific, and all viewers can not sit back and enjoy each race anyway. Very disappointed! The rest of you that like car racing, watching them go round and round, Soccer going up and down, and seeing the golf ball hit and watching the mob go from hole to hole, continue to enjoy yourselves. I feel sorry for all horse racing fans, owners, trainers, who seem to get no Respect from the Proper Television Networks that exist today!
NBC Sports just signed a 10 year contact to cover more bug horse racing cuz it's what the people want. HGTV supposedly covered the races online live. we don't get HGTV on TWC. I paid to add on NBC Sports And TVG cuz nobody covers this. Such a shame!
Wow! Toast of New York ran a great race. Tonalist just did not like the track I believe. Shared Belief got stuck in traffic and the Bayern incident at the start. Bayern controlling the pace, u will never won. U must challenge him. Congrads 2 Bayern. CC is an ok horse but he is just an average good 3 years like the other Grade 1 winners.
another furlong and cc wins the 3-4 strides and CC wins the race. Bayer saved ground all the way and CC was wide the whole way. great race nonetheless, was there live to see it. Bayern and toast of new York both impeded shared belief but SB was exactly where he always is 4-5 place ...so I think no excuses
***** I seriously doubt CC lacks the mental toughness to challenge down the stretch. he lost by a neck. I personally found the race exciting and I'm happy I was there to witness it live. will be a race I never forget. CC, SB ,Bayern and even tonalist in a race to see who can wrap up the 3 yo championship, was great. SB was sitting in 4-5 the whole way and he was also in his sweet spot yet coming down the stretch he gained no ground on the top 3 leaders...will look forward to CC winning his next race out...is still improving. I think Bayern is great but ppl will be gunning for him like the champion he is
I think everyone is missing the importance of Moreno getting destroyed at the beginning, as well. Moreno definitely had the back class to push Bayern through at least 6f very hard. He knows no other way. If he was up there with Bayern the half goes in 45-45 2/5 and 6f in 109 and change or so. Those top 3 come way back to the pack much less the bump at the beginning and SB being steadied 100 yards in. The absolute destruction of the likely pace scenario is what ruined this race.
Heck, that's a mighty bump there. Has Bayern been running in Europe, or in France, the horse would most likely have been disqualified for that major fault, after the investigation. But then, racing is all about money, and rigs, so judges often play the "no see, no say" when convenient. CC ran well and stayed away from trouble.
After a G1 stakes race, each horse gets a blood and ursine test by the fed and state authorities. G1 (grade 1) is for the big boys of racing...not the goons.
Poor shared belief he lost the only chance he got for a classic. Bayern should have been disqualified, if not for the second horse being european. Very bad for american racing!
I just can't bring myself to wager at Santa Anita anymore. Clear interference & would have been DQ'd at any other track. In the universe of thoroughbreds, Santa Anita is Jupiter while everyone else is on Earth. Fractions at SA mean nothing when horses ship east. I handicap the same way at tracks all over North America & see horses perform within expectations. But not at SA. Strange, bizarre, extreme anomalies occur there that just can't be explained by statistics. I'm not saying it's rigged, but they won't be getting anymore risk from me. When results cannot be explained within the norms of all other major thoroughbred tracks, something is wrong.
Despite the controversial beginning, Shared Belief is still one of the best horses I saw this decade. RIP Shared Belief, you had a great career.
that start screwed the race for him.

May have impeded Shared Belief? He took out the entire inner half of the field including Moreno. This was the biggest robbery in horseracing history.

Dirty Victory. In the call Bayern, hit so hard over Shared Belief. Inquiry and nothing happen (WHY ?)... THIS RACING SUCK!!!
haha! Baffert in the interview after the race said that since he's won everything he has nothing to look forward to, so now he has to win the Triple Crown...! Well, Baffert, you did, the very next year with American Pharoah :)

SUPERB RAN BY CALIFORNIA CHROME! STILL A HUGE FAN...
Funny that Bob mentions how he'd have to win a triple crown now... :) foreshadowing.
And the fact Footbridge pushed TONY left causing the secondary interference means what?
You are very emotional. I guess you lost money with SB and CC; but the fact is that BAYERN from start to finish.
Antonio Moya I demand a recount! There was no such thing as Horse Hockey, until now.
+RedBev59 Not sure how you can say he went with a bang. He had three more races in 2015 and they pretty well all disasters.
after Dubai he got sent right to UK...to train.
Ridiculous.. no respect left for Baffert, his jockey, or the stewards.
I agree. He is very fast and if he can get a lone lead he's very tough.-
It would have been cool if it was Byren, Shared belief, and California chrome fighting head to head at the wire. But its still the best BC there is.
uhh I think the '98 one was.... Had Silver Charm not angled out Awesome Again doesn't win. HECK! Had Swain not gone on a 45 degree angle down the stretch--he should've easily won. He didn't lose by hardly anything.
IT'S CALL PRESSURE
Top 3 ran a super race glad they left it alone
well said brother
i totaly agree wit you
Idiot
The way those jockeys recklessly brought their horses across at the start it's very fortunate they didn't cause a huge pileup of horses resulting in death or serious injury to horses and riders, the stewards should have ruled against them to make sure that style of riding is deemed completely unacceptable especially in such a classic race as the Breeders Cup.
I watched Gate Dancer get Dq'ed in the very first Classic and he did nothing. The winner, Wild Again, who is Bayern's grandpa. Mugging and getting away with it must run in the family. lol
And Richard Stewart, you hit the nail on the head.
Crazy how baffert said now i have to win a triple crown and wins it the following year… lol
By the american standards this is a scandal. By UK standards they wouldnt even call inquiry
That is not true. In the UK they fine a jockey for using the whip a tiny fraction of the amount used here. Of course, there is a lot of mayhem in the long jump races such as the Grand National but not on the flat racing circuit.
Toast of new york is 20 Ib's better on dirt than turf. He adores the surface-floats on it!Amazing!
So Zen is fine.
looked like bumper carts at the start, poor shared belief
I wonder if Jim Rome and company will ever run SB outside of California at other race tracks. I know he 2 has a large following of fans that would love 2 c him race in there state.the good thing is that all the California horses followed in the money. Bayern, CC and SB r from that track of Santa Anita. Toast of New York (Hats Off).
Actually CC is from Los Alamitos (west of Disneyland) and SB is based out of Golden Gate in San Francisco.
GOOD HORSES I loved
It's about time Baffert, congratulations, you earned it.
"Earned it?" By theft, mugging, or luck with the Stewards bad decision.
shoudlve turned this one round surely, but what throw out first two??
Rome sent me here
4:33 so obvious. Who owns who?
Stewards screwed up,Crome got beat because of trainer, only one prep race, commentator does nothing for the sport.Trevor Denman the greatest.
Did they switch the track back to dirt?
Fantastic Win Bayern
Great Job Martin Garcia
Respect to Bayern Munich Football Team of Germany *
I respectfully disagree with your first two statements. As to your third, I would not know Bayern Munich from Bayer aspirin. Who cares about some unknown minor league franchise in Germany?
They will NOT move him down to allow a Euro to beat them on Dirt. This was a no brainer take down, but hey, this is American Racing for you.
RedBev59 Save your lecture for a newbie Bev. I know more about his sport then you can imagine.
Where is the RACE?
Take him down? Why? They had a mile and a quarter to make up for it.
Shared Belief should have been right there at the end, right from the gate he got that terrible unfair disadvantage by Bayern..Shared Belief was the great horse that the horse racing world never really got to enjoy and see..how so sad. He still ran great tho..
6:01-6:05 Until Maximum Security in 2019.
Way, way wrong. With so much on the line, this was a nightmarish outcome that should have been stricken.
He won a triple crown.... BB is the GOAT!
I wanted Bayern to win the Breeder's Cup Classic but certainly not like this. What on earth is wrong with those stewards?
Like bb said they allow the first jump , it would be so wrong to take that win from bayern
Congratulations to BAYERN and Toast of New York. BAYERN is not getting due handicappers respect; but despite any excuses from the media and judging people, including those hero dreaming of SB or CC, they were the genuine one.

The incident was not intentional.
Vernon France Please do not insult SECRETARIAT comparing him to a lame and average horse as SHARED BELIEF.
Shared Belief ran the best
I wish someone would take action...I would sign an online petition to have action taken on this decision... directed to Santa Anita RaceTrack, The Breeders Cup, The Nation Racing authorities, Horse protection authorities, The Jockies Union....SAFETY FIRST before $$$ of one jock/trainer...other owners and trainers and gamblers also have $ on the line. THIS SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED.
Very emotional, no comments.
The decision was right, sore loser.....
donald sjulstad The decision was wrong, you uneducated idiot.
I'm surprised Bayern didn't have a foul called against him for bearing in at the start..
Millions were at stake and if the jock is aware that a crash is coming, he can be prepared for it.
2015 could've been an unbelievable breeders cup.
Clear a disqualifying foul at the start. Blunder by stewards. Watch the slow mo..Clear.
There’s never been an inquiry against the leader in the Kentucky Derby.
Well now that’s a statement we can say isn’t true now!
There is now in the 2019 Kentucky Derby and winner was DQ'd.

wild again horses are best
Bullshit 4 Chome has his legs back now. He needs another $1 Million day race in December somewhere. As 4 Shared B. he got screwed from the beginning and caught in traffic but did a good job of 4th.
Bayern rocks!!!! he is a gutsy determined horse... I'm no horse racing expert but i was a bit confused that there had to be an inquiry!!!. I think these horses are given a few feet allowances when they break from the starting gate. This was all an accident and unintentional. Lets give Garcia and Bayern some credit for a gutsy ride.
then how come 14 more jockeys came out with their horses in a normal way?
Look how tight and short his rein was pulled to his left and look how loose the rein in right was. Then he played for the cameras pulling the long loose right rein back. TOTALLY OBVIOUS!
THEdowntowndoll
Yup.
Blueshark I agree 100%. That dirty behavior in unacceptable. This needs to be looked at and stopped...title needs to be taken away too.
Best horse in the race and after...Shared Belief
Should of been took Down
I just watched the replay of the 2014 Kentucky Derby and if you compare the two starts there is no comparison.
THEY SHOULDN'T DISQUALIFY IT IS AT THE START THEY HAVE ANOTHER MILE AND A QUARTER TO RUN AND IT IS THE BC CLASSIC .
The fix was in
Chrome 3 wide the entire race and only beaten nose. Tough as they come.
Toast of NEW YOR WAS A RACE SHORT OF WINNING THE CLASSIC
BAYERN siempre fue por la cuerda, la victoria pudo haber sido de CALIFORNIA CHROME (jejej, una vez que ves la carrera pues claro).
I meant HRTV
Did you hear what both jockeys said! one lied and the other told it like it is, DAAAAAAAAAH. the truth is so difficult that why so few engage in it.
Bayern reminds me to Dubai Millennium, 14 years ago.
Agreed.
Not me.
I love seeing California Chrome fall short, ever since that "cowards way out" rant, hope the tools never win another big one again
Tonalist should have won the race by so far he just was to far behind the pack.WATCH HIS FINISH!!
Bayern should be DQed
California chrone witch otter jockey for ejemplo j castellano n losser more
Best horse didn't win but that's why we run them.Demolition derby.
The absolute destruction of the likely pace scenario is what ruined this race.
lol at people thinking Bayern should be DQ..
A little more longer and California chrome would of won!
No. He was hung.
He was gonna win but left hand whip slows him down right hand he speeds up. Watch closely
WAIT TILL THEY GET BACK AT BELMONT OR MAYBE EVEN AQUEDUCT TONALIST WILL WIN!!!
California track.....california trainer....california judges.....similar to the old boxing set ups
A disgrace. Bayern definitely caused interference.
chrome would have to be a super horse to ride the outside the entire race and win. At least he beat Tonalist.
*****
CC actually ran faster than he did in the Kentucky Derby. If he had the rail he would have won easily.
So happy he beat Tonalist! :)
Damn Chrome loss again!
Immediately cut in front of a horse and block his path, great strategy
Gutless judges!
cc 3wide the whole time not good.
Secretariat was 3 wide in the derby and broke the track record. Cc a good horse just not a super horse.
Hey it just goes to show you Bob doesn't have to cheat by using drugs, he just uses the stewards.
After a G1 stakes race, each horse gets a blood and ursine test by the fed and state authorities. G1 (grade 1) is for the big boys of racing...not the goons.
But yes bayern should of been DQ for such disgusting, blatant and dangerous tactics from his jockey.
I hope they do something about it but idk if they ever will
I agree 100%! This behavior/actions should never to tolerated.
THEdowntowndoll What was blatant?
guys this stuff happens all the time in ny stop crying and get over it
wow. that was a hard hit. Not so great.
Poor shared belief he lost the only chance he got for a classic. Bayern should have been disqualified, if not for the second horse being european. Very bad for american racing!
This was one of the dirtiest races I've seen run and it's not because of the dirt either
+Wayne Anderson Well put, Wayne.
