If you aren't familiar with Eberhard Weber, I would highly recommend his album Yellow Fields. A very cool record. Ambient. Spiritual. Definitely a sleeper album with that crystal clear ECM sound.
I've been wanting to get those Smile and Sleater Kinney albums but didn't find them at my local store. Time to order them online. I didn't know about that Carrie Brownstein story. That's really crazy. I need to read more about that back story.

That made me smile, I also get anxious about purging records. You can bet that the moment you get rid of a record will be the time you want to hear it most. I am currently between jobs, so my actual 'collecting' has taken a back seat for a while. But that is not necessarily a bad thing because I am finding a lot of enjoyment from catching up with a lot of records and music that I just haven't spent enough time with. It's a difficult balance sometimes, don't you think? Collecting new records and enjoying those you already have. That Fela Kuti Box set looks interesting. I had no idea that Idris Elba was a fan of Jazz. Cheers

The Smile album is amazing. 😃 I had slowed down considerably buying vinyl. My collection is anywhere near as large as yours and I even found out buying more vinyl meant that I could not listen to my favorites that i already have. 😮💨 I only bought a couple new ones last year and so far haven't bought any new ones this year. A lot of streaming going on tho. 🎧🎧

i came across a tourists album at a second hand store way back in the 1990's i regret i didnt get it, cause i havent came across any of their 2 albums since.
Mike dude awesome Mal Waldron The Call find that album is a must that title track is funky as hell his fender Rhodes playing is out of this world Mal is so underrated I have a lot of his albums. I have to grab that new I dig Fela too his box sets sell out so fast great box set opening Mike have a great week killer pickups .
@@hubtunes9607 UA-cam is getting so annoying ramming content down viewers throats even after they select not to show channels, yet many channels are leaving you tube. I have now turned off all cookies, ensured that cookies are cleared when my browser is closed and this seems to be working. I understand that YT is pushing shorts on creators to compete with TikTok whatsapp etc but they seem to be alienating many viewers who want informed dialogue no 10 second shorts for goldfish. You have always been been one of the few channels that I have enjoyed and followed. I have re subscribed as I may have stymied YT why not do a poll and see what your subscribed viewers want?

Anything done in software can be undone in software I think I may have found away to stop the constant reappearance of the same shorts even after hiding them, your concern is one of the reasons I enjoy your vlogs. I constantly cull channels which add no value especially the "Oooo look what I got" & unboxing channels. Additionally I'm seeing an element of burnout amongst the good content creators who feel pressured to keep producing vlogs, IMHO "less is more" @@hubtunes9607
